Diner Reviews
  • "Latitude 41 provides a wonderful dining experience. The staff was welcoming, friendly, approachable and competent. Service was as we requested (drink - time before ordering), shared desert, etc. The food was beautifully and tastefully prepared, and more than ample and the choices abundant. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Had lunch with friend from out of state. It was a first time visit for both of us. The service was impeccable, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend highly. Only drawback was the room with the view was out back reserved for functions. Actually peeked out back as a beautiful possibility for a future wedding site."

  • "We had not eaten here since it was Seaman's Inn and were a little hesitant because we had really enjoyed Seaman's Inn and were disappointed to discover it had closed. But we were thrilled with our experience with Latitude 41. Drinks, meals, desserts, and chowder were outstanding as was the service."

  • "This is the first time back since the change from Seamen's Inn. Good food choices. Kitchen was able to accommodate menu changes. Attentive wait staff."

  • "We went to Latitude 41 for Valentine's Day and it was awesome! The food was really great and the service was excellent. I had the hanger steak and crab cake combo which was amazing. It was also reasonably priced for our two dinners and bottle of wine. I highly recommend checking out this spot. It was really great and we'll be back!"

  • "Thank You for a wonderful spot for our special dinner date! The cuisine was very good and our server, Jessica, was friendly and attentive. We look forward to our September wedding at your establishment and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice night without shelling out a ton of dough. Well done!"

  • "GREAT FOOD, NICE ATMOSPHERE, BUT WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MENU BUNDLED. ALACART GETS VERY EXPENSIVE ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE ON A BUDGET"

  • "We like the bar area. It is friendly, has some really good beers, and often, they have entertainment. The food and service is always good."

  • "Latitude 41is fine dining at it's best. Next time I'm in town I will be dining there again!!!"

  • "We enjoyed our dinner which was prepared and presented very well. Nancy, the Hostess, was warm & welcoming and Lauren, our waitress, was efficient & friendly. The the wine list is not broad but offers a nice selection of good reasonably priced wines. The menu had just changed over to the Winter menu and had a nice offering. We will be back. There is a Tavern-like dining area across from the dining room that I would like to try on our next visit. It looks 'cozy' and seems to be popular. Then there is a very active Bar with music in back room - a little noisy for my dining preference, but a lively place to have a cocktail before or after dinner."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Latitude 41, from the greeting from our hostess, the visit from the restaurant manager, and the excellent service by our waitress, Celina. Do not be put off by my review of "very good" because I save Excellent for the very top 5-star places. This is the perfect place to dine while visiting Mystic or in our case returning home from Foxwoods. The menus is broad enough to find something for anyone and Celina gave us the specials right away before we had chosen our food."

  • "We spent the day at Olde Mystic Seaport and wanted a nice dining experience over the typical pizza or clam bar experience. The food was fantastic, great service and a beautiful ambiance. Will definitely go back there soon."

  • "I visited during restaurant week on a Saturday evening. The food was absolutely delicious. I had Salmon which was cooked to perfection. The desert was delicious. The only negative thing I have to say is they packed too many tables into the dining area which made it difficult to maneuver in and out of your seats and at the end of our meal we were never offered coffee to go with our deserts. They could have used additional wait staff as well. I would definately go back."

  • "My husband and I had dinner there for restaurant week. The salad was fantastic, the dinners very good, and the desserts were very good. We loved getting a bottle of wine for half price."

  • "Went there for my wife and I's first Wedding Anniversary. When making the reservation on line (my wife and I are from TX, and were visiting from out of town) i mentioned that we were there to celebrate our anniversary. They had that in their "notes" under my name. At various times throughout our meal, the hostess, the waitress, and even the manager came to our table to congratulate us, and wish us a happy anniversary."

  • "Food was very uneven with starters that were great and main courses that were mediocre or overcooked. Had a large party that night which might have impacted the kitchen."

  • "Found on Open table after long drive from Virginia Beach. Great service and loved the atmosphere in the Tavern."
    Dined on 10/17/2013
  • "To begin the meal, I had some of the best butternut squash bisque I have ever eaten. The rest of the meal was delicious, too. What impressed me the most, though, was the staff. Not only was the server outstanding but the hostess was lovely. It was my first time in Mystic and we had such a lovely conversation. It would be my first choice if I ever visit Mystic again. Next time I will eat lunch earlier so I can enjoy one of their desserts."

  • "The service was prompt, courteous, helpful, and friendly. The tables were nicely spaced so you could have a good conversation. The chowder was hot and tasty but gluey. I prefer it made with broth and cream, no flour. The dessert was okay, but not a lot of flavor. (I had the peanut butter and chocolate creation.) The room was dark and cold on a dark and chilly day. Location was perfect, given that I was meeting a friend halfway between Boston and Norwalk. The restaurant is only a short distance from the interstate. Parking was a small hike, no big deal but it would have been a problem for anyone with a handicap or if the weather was wet or cold. I'd go there again but more for the convenience and the employees than for the food."

  • "Being from out of the area we only made a reservation based on online information. We walked in past diners walking out very happy with their meals! The old building is wonderful, the fireplace was lit and it was just a relaxing and cozy environment. It was hard to pick from the menu, many things sounded tempting. All of our meals were well above average and the lobster pot pie was really fabulous. We loved everything that came to our table. Would definitely go back if ever in the area again."
    Dined on 10/13/2013
  • "The dining room was large but not crowded. Even with 3 larger groups of 8 to 12, the noise level was low and the service was prompt. The tables are well spaced so conversation aind elbow room were both possible The servings were large and the seafood was fresh and good."

  • "We loved this restaurant. The staff was so accommodating, and the food was excellent. Valerie the manager and her assistant Nancy plus our server were outstanding, never had such good service. This was a delight as we are eating our way across New England. We have eaten at other good restaurants, but this was extra special. We highly recommend it."
