L'ATELIER - BoulderPerfect Place for Quiet French MealThis was my first time at L'Atelier and second time dining in Boulder. Don't know why more people don't go here. Dining room was small, artistic, quiet - but a little too quiet. We were ready for a nice meal, but it would have seemed too stuffy to be in there, so we asked for an outdoor table on the patio. Perfect spot -- made for great people-watching and we got to ogle the dishes that came out for other tables. They set up a table right away. Service was polite and attentive but not overbearing. Wine always came right away. Portions were perfect - not too much. All the food we had was balanced and delicious. I'm glad to learn the menu changes frequently so we can be back sooner rather than later to try something different.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful eveningThis was a wonderful meal in tasteful surroundings. Knowledgable waitstaff recommended wine that our whole table enjoyed without breaking the bank. If you are a duck fan, the duck and duck entree is not to be missed. We will definitely spend another special occasion here again.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional highly recommend! My challenge was to find the right place to take a group which included my customers from Montreal and Paris, two very foodie guests. Additionally, one of them had lived in Prague for 8 years. L'atelier was the perfect combination of attentive service, flavour and craft, with Chef even coming to the table to chat with us. Brilliant evening and the entire group raved about the experience.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Chocolate CakeChocolate Cake was excellent, not too sweet, sugar and salt levels were just right. I had the filet and she had the bouillabaisse. Not only were they both delicious, they contained an element of progressive culinary arts that is nice to find locally. The waiter was very knowledgeable in what went into each plate. The only things that wasn't up to the standard was the dessert. We had the creme brulee - which they renamed 'burnt creme angelina' for some unknown reason. At $9.00 it was mediocre at best.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNot only was this place wonderfulNot only was this place wonderful for my group of friends, I'm bringing my parents here.
