Diner Reviews
  • "Our visit was great. We were celebrating a family birthday and were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were wonderful. We will definitely return."

  • "I've been wanting to eat here for awhile but I don't think I will eat here again. The service started out great but he was almost MIA after entrees were served. We wanted a bigger selection and the food just wasn't that great. I might go back for cocktails and sit outside as it looked lovely. It's very expensive too. It's in the same range as Meridian but nowhere near as good."

  • "Four of us gathered at Late Harvest Kitchen for dinner and dessert. None of us had been there before and we were all presently surprised with the delicious entrees and fabulous desserts. Highly recommend the Toffee Bread Pudding for dessert!"

  • "We decided to try this for a nice dinner after a play, based on the other Open Table Comments. We were very glad we did! The food was excellent and the service even better! The server knew it was our first time there and went out of his way to make it a great experience! We will go back and I have told many others of our experience!"

  • "My girlfriend and I had decided on dining here for our anniversary. We had been here a handful of times before and we have always had a great experience. This was no exception. Our server who's name was Chris or Nick I believe(sorry, in the middle of a move and life is hectic)was great. He was pretty busy but was on point. Informative and prompt. The food was great as always. We thank you for a great experience on a very happy occasion. We will be back soon."

  • "Our meal was really good as a whole. I had the chicken, which was average, but the rest of the table enjoyed their meal. The pork appetizer was the best! Another person had pork chops (delicious) and another had a steak (wonderful)! Appetizers were delicious and sides were good. We will be back again to try outdoor seating! Great garden!"

  • "Two entrees (chicken and fish) were overcooked. This basic misstep will make it difficult to return. The sticky toffee pudding was, perhaps, the finest dessert I've ever eaten - highly recommended with Late Harvest's coffee. Service was impeccable."
    Dined on 3/28/2014
  • "We had a variety of dishes! Fluke, Cobia , pork Cheeks, Fried Oysters, etc. all were fantastic!"

  • "Set up reservation the day before on Open Table site. Also was able to order flowers for the table from the same site, very convenient. The dining experience was overall excellent. This was our first visit to this restaurant. The food, wine, service, and location were great. We are already making plans to eat here again on our next special occassion."

  • "The food, service, and ambience were fabulous! Look forward to dining in warmer temps to enjoy the outside patio!"

  • "The problem is that everything I've eaten at Late Harvest has been fabulous and I don't know if I want to try new things or go back to the things I've already tried and loved!! The grilled salad was simply too good. I could have eaten only that and been happy! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "I gor the raosted chicken with the roasted vegetables and it was very good."

  • "One of the best meals we've ever had. Everything was creative and done perfectly."
    Dined on 3/13/2014
  • "We ordered the cod appetizer. It had chopped cod, cheese and butter. It was very good! The salmon had a light sweet sauce which was very flavorful with a good balance of sweetness. The cauliflower side was the best I've ever eaten. I think it was roasted with almonds and golden raisins and butter."

  • "This was was my third visit to this restaurant and my experience has been consistent - very good, creative food with beautiful presentation, but the service could be better. Our waiter seemed more interested in reciting his rehearsed monologue than asking us what we were interested in. After his monologue it took him 10 minutes to return to our table to take our order. He also seemed visibly disappointed that we ordered from the Northside Nights menu and did not even ask if we would like coffee at the end of our meal - just delivered the bill after our last course had been served. Unfortunately, the service in this restaurant does not align well with the quality of the food and the prices."

  • "One of the best Restaurants in Indy! Ask for Terrill to serve you. A table by the fireplace is always nice, but when the weather warms up, outside dining is fantastic ! ENJOY!"

  • "I went with a small group of friends during the Northside Nights dining event. I had made reservations two and then had to change it to five. I was worried this would cause a problem and we would have to wait, but the staff were very friendly and helpful and fit us in with no problems. The server was very friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. I ordered the smoked ham hock and hominy soup from thetasting menu. It was delicious and had so much flavor. When I got to the bottom of the bowl I considered picking it up and drinking the rest so I wouldn't waste any. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu."

  • "Had a very nice time at Late Harvest Kitchen. Really enjoyed the food, though the ambiance (crying children) left a lot to be desired, though we were there for the menu :-) My wife had the wedge salad and the house special pork chop, I had the shaved brussel sprout salad and the Cobia...all excellent! Only criticism was that my accompanying gnocchi was a bit dry/chewy and much denser than I have had elsewhere. Will definitely return in the future!"

  • "We've been to Late Harvest 3 times in 5 weeks. The menu was slightly different each time with great new additions. We will definitely be returning soon and can't wait until spring/summer to sit outside."

  • "The bread could be improved. We had the grilled romaine salad - needs more beets. I had four small beet cubes in my salad. The fish was excellent!"

  • "I and two of my colleagues were in Indy for a trade show, we had an unexpected dinner opportunity with an important customer and what turned out to be good fortune, there were no reservations, for the time we needed at the downtown restaurants so I began my search for a unique to the area eating establishments . . . AND BOY DID I FIND A LOCAL GEM!! It was busy, the service started out a little slow but it picked up and the great food made up for any time spent waiting!"

  • "LHK is a great place for many occasions. The menu changes on a regular basis and is determined by the freshest ingredients available at that time of year. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah, top off your night with Sticky Toffee Pudding - it is the best dessert I have ever had."

  • "I was seated in the back room which turned out to be VERY noisy turning a wonderful meal into a disappointment. I would not be seated in that room again. Part of it could have been a couple of loud parties at surrounding tables but management did not request they quiet down after I asked to be moved and there was no other table available. It felt like we were yelling at each other to be heard across our own table."

  • "My wife and I have been here a few times now, and we are always more than satisfied. Great food and great service every time! Also, the staff is always very nice to our kids, which we very much appreciate. On this occasion I had biscuits and rabbit gravy. The meat was very tender and the gravy was absolutely delicious. My wife had the pork jowl, another very tasty dish. If you have never been here, you definitely need to try the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I am not big on desserts, but at Late Harvest I always want the toffee pudding."

  • "I chose this restaurant based on the reviews, menu and location. We were not disappointed! My cocktail (Porter) was so tasty and the bartender was knowlegible. We all got a variety of small plates which were generous in size and the bone marrow fries were to die for! Really good experience!"

  • "This restaurant is a gem from the typical mediocrity of chains Indy is known for. The food is good and a couple of appetizers were excellent but the other dishes I would classify as bland. I heard on several occasions it’s seasoned to match the tastes of Indianapolis residents. That kind of thinking will never win a prestigious award or put Indy on the map for dining. If you go try the octopus, the flavor was good and the tenderness of the meat was succulent. Equally good was the brussel sprout salad."

  • "While the service was great and the room beautiful, overall the price was a bit too high. I really enjoyed my dinner - but my husband was pushed toward a dish that he absolutely hated."

  • "The creative, DELICIOUS menu tells me that they have a passion for what they're doing---providing patrons with a dining experience that delights all the senses. Everything was perfectly prepared. Their focus on local and organic foods impresses as well. Our server was engaging, attentive, and informative. We love finding new ways to prepare foods, so the shaved brussel sprout salad was a WONDERFUL suprise--my new favorite way to eat them!"

  • "Late Harvest does a nice job preparing local fresh cuisine. Wine selections are great and the Chef's imagination is worth trying something out of the ordinary yet regionally familiar. Cozy chic environment."

  • "Great food, great service, beautiful decor. A real gem. The small plates are generously sized, enough for two to share, and a couple of them per person will make a nice lighter meal."

  • "Wonderful menu that changes daily. The service was excellent. We will defiantly go back!"

  • "food was great, service was good, prices were alright - nice ambiance, tables a tad tight a peeve of mine -seems like a some of the nicer places you have to be on top of each other, but all in all we liked it and will go back"

  • "Appetizers great (Pate and Gen Tso's Pork Belly). Not many healthy choices on menu and lots of fat throghout. Didn't know so many things could be done with bacon, With that said, everything was well prepared. Toffee pudding awesome but too much -- the two or us shared and left a third of the dessert. We decided this place maight be best for appetizers and drinks at the bar."

  • "One of the best overall meals I have ever had. The food was amazing from the delicious fries with bone marrow and jalapenos to the pig cheeks or crab cakes. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was wonderful. The service was exceptional, and very happy to answer any questions you had about the menu. Highly recommend"

  • "Mostly everything was great, but the mahi mahi tasted like the snow in the ground. Flavorless and with the texture of mush. Also the Brusselsprout salad was sour in a strange way and the texture was 'creepy' on the palate. The pork chop was extremely tender. Our server Terrell (sp?) was excellent! He picked out an exquisite bottle of wine and really was the saving grace of the evening. We will give it a second chance, but with low expectations so hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised."

  • "Went to dinner with another couple and it was the first time for all of us. It was absolutely amazing. We shared 4 small plates - tare tare, octopus, pork belly and romaine. 100% amazing. We each had an entrée - pork, ribeye, lamb ravioli and seafood special. Again, all were amazing. The desserts were off the hook. Can't wait to go back."
