From each appetizer we ordered to the tortellini to the schnitzel to the FABULOUS desserts (HUGE), we were delighted. This is a restaurant beyond compare. While we had small children (albeit fantastically well-behaved!) with us, this could easily be a hot spot for a romantic feast as well. Our server was uber knowledgable and accommodating and seamless in his work.
Late Harvest Kitchen is truly one of the finest restaurant gems in the area. Bravo and Kudos. For cocktails my wife had the Sancho and I had the LHK Lemonade - who knew jalapeno and rosemary when paired with tequila and bourbon, respectively, would be so tasty! The morel waffles as a starter were unique and tasty and the thick cut fries as a side with dinner were a life changing experience! The walleye was not as flaky as I would have hoped (may have been due to where it was caught), but the pork chop my wife had with the bacon marmalade was to die for! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs; however, Douglas boxed everything we couldn't eat and provided reheating instructions. The waiter suggested a delightful French Pinot by the glass and then we split the Asparagus salad and the crab cake. I had the whole baked Bronzini (white fish) which was filleted at the table by our waiter and my friend had the ribeye. We had their sticky Toffee pudding for dessert. Great Service-a little louder than I would like but overall a wonderful evening Menu changes daily. We got the fried oysters, caviar pie small plates and split the schnitzel big plate and added a side of cauliflower. I loved the oysters; my sister liked the taste but would have preferred the tough "feet" muscles be removed. The caviar pie w/ toast points was good, but the caviar was so mild the egg flavor overruled everything. The schnitzel w/ brussel sprouts was terrific. The cauliflower w/ raisins and almonds was also good, but not to die for. My halibut was awesome, but my fiancé's ribeye was not very good at all. All was forgotten when we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was almost a religious experience, it was so incredible. Add that to their Sancho cocktail and those are reason enough to return. Excellent food and outstanding service - attentive, helpful but not overwhelming. The Mulholland Drive was an interesting drink to start with, and we took the server's recommendation to try the shaved brussels sprouts salad - delicious. My friend devoured his rare ribeye, and I loved the perfectly cooked pork chop with an interesting sauce. It was huge, and half went home. We should have shared the divine chocolate mousse (as the server suggested) instead of ordering two, which neither of us could finish. I was there with 2 friends celebrating my birthday. The only complaint I would have is that our waiter was so condensending. Every time he came to our table, he referred to us as "girls." I haven't been a girl for several years and I do really hate it when adults use that label.
