Late Harvest KitchenA+++++++++Great food, great service and very nice design of the restaurant!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time ReviewMy sister and I went to LHK for the first time this week because of good reviews, location, and to spend our first Open Table check!
We got the fried oysters, caviar pie small plates and split the schnitzel big plate and added a side of cauliflower. I loved the oysters; my sister liked the taste but would have preferred the tough "feet" muscles be removed. The caviar pie w/ toast points was good, but the caviar was so mild the egg flavor overruled everything. The schnitzel w/ brussel sprouts was terrific. The cauliflower w/ raisins and almonds was also good, but not to die for. All-in-all, the service was fine, our waiter knowledgeable, the food good, the price point moderate, and the dining experience pleasant.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWOWFantastic food, fantastic service. Our server was one of the best I have ever seen. Great restaurant, can't wait to return.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our thrid time diningThis is our thrid time dining at Late Harvest Kitchent and it's quickly become one of our favorite spots. Menu needs more variety though4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food. Big Plates meanGreat food. Big Plates mean big portions, my pork chop was huge but cooked perfectly. Bread is optional and unnecessary if ordering an appetizer. Interesting that there are no salt and pepper shakers on the table, but my food was seasoned perfectly. Sides and dessert are made for sharing.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome dining experienceFirst time dining at Late Harvest Kitchen and we will be back....hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center but worth finding! Very creative, fresh, unique selections....We had a great dinner and a great time.....round table & our view were a bonus!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were great. My wife's pork chop was perfect, and the Brussel sprout salad was one of the best I have had. They whole fish was good and had a nice presentation. This place has it going on.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSimultaneously unique and familiar.Unique menu with adventurous twists founded on familiar staples. An energetic atmosphere. Our server had insightful suggestions about the wine list and the menu. He was helpful and attentive with the entrées. It was a memorable meal and evening. The price makes it a great destination for special occasions.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful interior, greatBeautiful interior, great service that was not too chatty, inventive menu, good wine list.
However, I almost missed it because Google GPS did not get me close enough. Finally a valet parker at another restaurant assured me I was close.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMCocktails were inventive,Cocktails were inventive, and there was something for everyone's taste. The presentation from appetizer through desert was nothing like what we expected. The chef's creations are some like you have never experienced.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly complaint would be thatOnly complaint would be that Lamb ravioli entree a bit small...pork chop entree more than made up for it in size. Flavors for all were exquisite. Great choices, great preparation...4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe ambiance is great, andThe ambiance is great, and the staff is very friendly. The appetizers were great. My halibut was awesome, but my fiancé's ribeye was not very good at all. Extremely hard to get through the second half (super fatty, impossible to "get around" tendon, ect.) even though the first half of the steak was actually great. But... All was forgotten when we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was almost a religious experience, it was so incredible. Add that to their Sancho cocktail and those are reason enough to return. Overall great place.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst visit to Late HarvestFirst visit to Late Harvest and will definitely go back. Excellent food and outstanding service - attentive, helpful but not overwhelming. The Mulholland Drive was an interesting drink to start with, and we took the server's recommendation to try the shaved brussels sprouts salad - delicious. My friend devoured his rare ribeye, and I loved the perfectly cooked pork chop with an interesting sauce. It was huge, and half went home. We should have shared the divine chocolate mousse (as the server suggested) instead of ordering two, which neither of us could finish. An outstanding, if pricey, meal but definitely worth it.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMenu was interesting and explainedMenu was interesting and explained well. Choices are a bit slanted toward seafood and red meat. Would have enjoyed another chicken or vegetarian option, but those offered were good. Tasty sides. Staff were excellent. Very comfortable, attractive setting. Tres Leches cake was AMAZING. I'd go there again just for that item.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent wait staff; knowledgeableExcellent wait staff; knowledgeable yet not pretentious.Sat in back room which was not quite as warm and inviting as main dining rooms, plus untinted windows left me blinded at times.Food was excellent. Pork chops and the walleye were terrific! Dessert was delish and perfectly topped by French press coffee!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOur second visit in aboutOur second visit in about 4 months and the menu was at least half new items. Food very well prepared, wine list one of the best around. My only quibbles: the brandade was rather filling for an appetizer and the main course arrived before our first course was cleared. Oh, and no espresso.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOur second visit, and it wasOur second visit, and it was just as good as the first time! Delicious food with locally sourced ingredients and excellent service, nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go again!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointedWe dine here often and are never disappointed. The changing menu and fresh options make every time we go a new experience. We ate family/tapas style sharing starters and entrees among 4 of us. Everything was outstanding.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMIndy GemWonderful food & service. It was lovely!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best in Indy!Another awesome experience at Late Harvest. The food was excellent as usual, and the service made the night very enjoyable. One of the highlights of the evening happened when our waiter from our previous visit remembered us, and came over to talk to us and say hi to our kids. I highly recommend this restaurant.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best in Indy! One of the best restaurants in Indy, IMHO, with an emphasis on sustainably raised meats and local produce. Great Atmosphere, Excellent Service. Good Cocktail Menu, reasonable wine list with a number of good choices. Not cheap, but worth the price. Food comes out hot, not after sitting on the counter for ten minutes - the sign of a well run kitchen.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and drinks were fabulous. The food and drinks were fabulous. I was there with 2 friends celebrating my birthday. The only complaint I would have is that our waiter was so condensending. Every time he came to our table, he referred to us as "girls." I haven't been a girl for several years and I do really hate it when adults use that label. I would never let that keep me from going back for dinner, though.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh Qaulity ExperienceAmazing all around experience - food quality to ambience to service. Pricey but worth the occasion. And yes -do get the desert special even if you are a fitness maven.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a delicious NorthsideWe had a delicious Northside Nights meal at Late Harvest. The NN menu has nice options and the pace of the meal was perfect. NN or not, I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat new place/ FARM TO TABLE2nd time to visit Late Harvest.....I was there on a cold early March evening and it was "packed" I know why.....It is outstanding....and I am a Food Snob....unusual and creative preparation of standard fare.......but without the "fluff" of some places when you cannot taste the main ingredient. Love the use of local farms and produce as much as possible.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had excellent service andWe had excellent service and the food was creative and local. Gourmet comfort food. The shredded brussels sprouts salad and the toffee pudding were favorites, but the menu changes every day so you will just have to see what delights are offered!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
