  • "Food is typical Mexican with good service! Party seemed to be happy with their choice."

  • "This is a charming spot that is a desert favorite. I personally am not a big fan of the food. There are much better Mexican restaurants that I prefer but if your looking for the big place with lots of charm then this is the place for you."
    Dined on 4/9/2014
  • "Great patio. Good service. Love that they have skinny margaritas."
    Dined on 4/7/2014
  • "This is a beautiful patio, covered with canopy of trees with little white lights, the sky peeking above. Fun to eat here, but the food is not my favorite, having dined at many other Mexican restaurants in this valley. We go for the ambiance."

  • "This restaurant has an amazing decor. Very authentic mexican ambiance and food. Creamy guacamole excellent and the homemade Sangria is a nice chance ge from beer or margaritas with the menu items."

  • "We were seated promptly but then the waiting began. We waited about 10 min to see a waiter. Then almost an hour for our food and then we had to ask for our check 3 times. Other tables near us were also trying to flag down anyone who would listen to pay their bill. The restaurant is lucky people didn't just walk out. The singing / guitar is nice but he didn't get within ear shot until the very end and by then we were fed up. Food is mediocre. Rellanos were soggy. But carnitas were good. This place is a bit of a tourist trap."

  • "This restaurant has everything... romantic quiet corner table in the bar or outdoor patio, seating for a family gathering, great Mexican food and outstanding service. We eat here every time we're in the area. Wouldn't go any where else for Mexican food."
    Dined on 3/24/2014
  • "After dining at this restaurant several times over the years will not return after our last two dining experienciences. Food is just not good enough. None of the 4 people in our party enjoyed their dinner on our last visit."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "The décor and atmosphere at the Rancho Mirage version of Las Casuelas is high on our list of places to take our visiting guests. This is a gorgeous building and interior which is a reminder of classic Mexico. Service is good, most of the food is enjoyable, and the wandering singer has a terrific voice. While you can quibble about this dish or that, the overall experience is easily good enough to warrant repeat appearances."

  • "We've been eating here for years but the food continues to get worse. I had fajitas and the meet (chicken and beef) was of very poor quality. My husband had enchiladas that came to the table cold and barely edible. It's really too bad because it's so nice to sit outside and the service and chips and salsa are good."

  • "We have eaten here once before so gave it another try. Had a nice patio table. Had a problem with menu. Lists crab enchiladas and shrimp enchiladas plus a combo of the two. Each of the first two includes guacamole but my combo did not. I questioned this and was told I wouldn't get it. Price was the same. I asked the manager and he couldn't figure out why not but there was no apology and no adjustment. I left unfulfilled. It's a pretty place but I am concerned about consistency. My husband enjoyed his meal."

  • "We visit the area each year in march and make it a point to eat here 2-3 times each week. The best food and margaritas around."

  • "very enthusiastic staff greeting..informal authentic /beautiful Mexican setting...service was outstanding...meals were incredible & not too big..staff were very accommodating to 2 children (kid menu)..live music very entertaining...we love this restaurant ...it's a last night dinner out with visitors"

  • "This place has a beautiful outdoor patio area for dining & the food was very tasty. I had a crab enchilada plate & was very satisfied. We had a group of 10 & the server did well. No complaints!"

  • "too much noise.Mariachis playing too close to tables and you could not carry on a conversation. Happy hour bar is very small and could not get a table. In restaurant they would not honor happy hour prices since we had to move to dining room. Food was very mediocre and service was very........slow. Would not come back."

  • "We were delayed by road construction getting to the restaurant, and we were greeted by being reminded that we were 15 minutes late. It seemed like the restaurant was getting ready to close, but they let us take a table, which we originally thought was a nice gesture. However, we were rushed to take our order, the food was tasteless, the meat was tough and unidentifiable, and when we complained to the waiter he didn't even acknowledge our complaint. We were tourists not from the area, but if we were from the area we would never return. On the positive side, the restaurant does have a nice outdoor courtyard to dine in."

  • "No wonder this restaurant I so popular. It's your standard Mexican food and atmosphere done right. It's hugh, but the service was fast, efficient, and friendly. We sat outside, which was very pleasant. The food was good, not great, but just what we were looking for."

  • "Way better than a middling Mexican restaurant but definitely not to die for. Just solid, good Mexican food with a great patio for outdoor dining. Waitstaff does a good job, the menu is varied and the prices are reasonable. All in all a very good spot - but don't expect gourmet food."

  • "The only thing that could be improved is the Margarita! Wonderful spot for authentic Mexican food!"

  • "We always come to Las Casuelas Nuevas for dinner when we are in PS. The margs are the best, the service and entertainment awesome. My Shrimp Enchilada was overcooked, but next time I will caution about that...."

  • "Great outdoor patio! Beautiful canopy of trees. Food was excellent. Table-side guacamole was to die for! A real keeper. A bit of noise from the road on the other side of the wall, but not a distraction."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "This is a great restaurant, both with quality of food as well as ambience. The only concern is that on the night we dined, there weren't enough serving staff and we waited (and waited) for our order to be taken, for the food to arrive and for the check to be brought to us. This should be an area that management could/should recitfy quickly. Thanks."

  • "This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is great. Before booking I read all the comments and the there is a consistent word and this is slow service. During our visit the restaurant was not busy by any means and we found our drinks low a few times and Chips and salsa dry. The service team would assist the tables around us but seemed unaware of the condition of the others. The waitress was not present for a good period of time as well."

  • "Our group had a wonderful experience. It started with wine and appetizers on the patio, followed by an exceptional dinner in a private room. The service was amazing. The food was delicious and with a great presentation."

  • "A great place for outdoor dining. The ambiance is spectacular. The food is good and the service was superior."

  • "I enjoyed the restaurant. Great atmosphere for outdoor dinning. Our service was slow at first, but they realized it and were very attentive after that. Menu was typical Mexican, but prepared well and very tasty. Overall it was a very nice experiance."

  • "A seminar brings us to this area annually. Las Casuelas Nuevas is always an obvious choice for our family. We like the outdoor patio and friendly waitstaff. Food is good. And their margaritas are tasty! A nice find!"

  • "We've enjoyed dining at Las Casuelas Nuevas over the years and have enjoyed the ambiance for special occasions. Usually the food was a little bit dry, but seasoned well and had a good flavor. This time the food was prepared very well and really was outstanding. Our compliments to the Chef and expect to see us more often!"

  • "Las Casuelas has a few locations in the greater Palm Springs area. I have dined at both the Palm Springs and Palm Desert locations. Both provided consistent high quality food with wonderful Mexican decor. The margaritas are highly recommended. The menu provides a wide selection and is reasonably priced. An evening at Las Casuelas is always included in our Palm Springs get away."

  • "Our server was great and so was the food. The initial waiting was very disappointing. We were seated outside behind this large tree and observed by many who worked there who we're doing nothing since nobody really arrived as of yet. We waited for over ten minutes before our chips and water arrived. I almost got up and walked out before we were initially recognized as their customers. The place was virtually empty at this point. After the chips arrived we waited another ten minutes until I waved at the hostess who went and notified our server that we were still waiting. After that everything went well and we were taken care of. This is not the same service we have had at the other place downtown Palm Springs."

  • "We had a fantastic New Year's Eve dinner complete with excellent food and live musicians walking around to play at the tables. We were three couples and three little ones - everyone had a blast and enjoyed their meal. Among our entrees the fajitas and shrimp enchiladas were outstanding and don't miss the churro dessert!"

  • "On New Year's Eve we decided we wanted something casual yet fun. We normally go to Las Casuelas Teraza in Palm Springs because of the atmosphere. However, we didn't want to fight the traffic in downtown Palm Springs that evening and we wanted reservations too (Teraza was not on Open Table). We had concerns that this restaurant would not have the atmosphere of its sister restaurant. We were wrong though and it was great. Because we had reservations, we were given a great corner booth, away from large groups. Food was excellent and we'd go again. Just a little farther from our hotel but worth the drive."
