It does have a tendency to become loud, as it will accommodate large groups. The food has remained the same since I was last there 25 years ago..........very good. We felt the Mexican dishes should have included more popular entrées like chili rellanos. Over all it was a nice experience and will return on a nice sunny day! The guacamole and chips were exceptional.

We wanted a good brunch and an ocean view in Laguna and we got it. We were greeted and seated promptly for our 10AM reservation made through Open Table (first time using). Our server, Sergio was dedicated, attentive and friendly. The food was presented nicely and quite tasty. And the Champagne flowed freely! If you have never tried Las Brisas before, don't let the entry area cause alarm. (It did for me) Once you are seated in the dining area that first impression disappears. Best impression? The servers were all old school professional, real waitstaff. We watches the sun melt into the Pacific as we dined on succulent lobster, crab and seafood. Others in our party had the enchiladas and salmon. The food was cooked perfectly the sauces were delicate, tasty and a perfect compliment to the meal. Order the frita del mar it was delicious. Drinks were strong do you only need one! They evenade Virginia margaritas for the underage kids. Be patient and make sure you get a window table as the views are some of the best in SC! Las Brisas has changed its menu and I am sorry to say that, in my opinion, not for the better. Some favorite items are gone and have been replaced by more "touristy" Mexican dishes. So, my best suggestion is check out the menu before you go.
My Wild Mexican Shrimp Cocktail had five large shrimp, but they were very tough. The filet mignon I ordered was comparable to a steak served on an airliner back in the good old days...it actually tasted re-heated. To be fair, my dinner companion ordered a Mahi-Mahi special and was more than satisfied. I, on the other hand, love my steak or veal. There were the 5 of us and they sat us in this little alcove which was really nice. Great views, private and less noise.
Not sure if they even have a wine list. We asked for a Chardonnay and they brought a Clos de Bois which certainly did the job, but normally the server should bring a wine list.
The server forgot to serve the chocolate mousse that I saw on the bill, but I reminded him and he went and got it.
