Las BrisasGreat place!My wife and I thoroughly enjoy eating here. The food is some of the best seafood I've had anywhere. The service is top notch and the view is a great one of the pacific. My wife and I sat inside with a great window view, and that was fine. There is also great seating outside with heating. Get there early this place is popular. It was our anniversary and the waitress really treated us right.
The only downside is you may have to park a distance on the street following the coastal view if there parking is full, but it's a nice walk.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNice overall but prices highI hadn't been to Las Brisas in years but decided to take some out of town guests there, mostly for the spectacular view. Even tho I had requested a window table with an ocean view, we were told that they can't be reserved and that there would be an add'l 30+ min wait for one. So we took the table in the middle of the room which was ok; there is still a decent view if you face the right way. Our wait staff was friendly and everyone seemed happy with their dishes. I was not impressed with the chocolate mousse cake but it was fair and the kids didn't mind. Overall it was a good experience but I had hoped for something more given the $30/entree prices. We enjoy their Mexican influenced sea food and their bread. The service is good when it's not too busy. When the weather is nice, it's even more enjoyable to have brunch/lunch at the restaurant, you can see the ocean while you eat. After the meal, one can take a walk along the coast to take in the beautiful ocean view.

We showed up 30 minutes early for our dinner reservation and we were still seated right away at a window table with a gorgeous view. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had the spicy tuna nachos appetizer, which the server explained to us were not actually nachos, but four large chips topped with seared tuna and avocado. Pricy, but delicious. I had the pasta de mariscos, which came with scallops, shrimp, crab and salmon. My date had the seafood enchiladas, which were stuffed with Hawaiian ono (the catch of the day) and shrimp. I enjoyed both dishes. Everything was freshly prepared, and tasted excellent. It's often difficult to find good menu choices when you are dieting, but there were many healthy and light options on their regular lunch menu. Our choices were: Seafood salad - A photo of this salad is featured on their website and it is every bit at good as it looks. Also, Spicy Tuna Nachos - This was an appetizer, but it was perfectly sized for a light lunch. Each tortilla chip (4) was stacked with King crab, ahi sushi and avocado, with sweet & spicy aioli sauce. This dish was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Laguna Beach is postcard perfect, and so is Las Brisas. You really need a reservation on the weekend, but in spite of the crowd we never felt rushed. We ordered guacamole/chips as a starter - mmm! My salad was excellent and beautiful to look at too. Crab claws, shrimp, lobster medallions, and Ahi (I ordered it well done) artistically presented with asparagus, hearts of palm and the most beautiful greens imagineable. With a pomegranite margarita, I was in heaven. Others in the party were equally happy with their choices. We shared desserts too. We had a window table, to make things extra special. We wanted a good brunch and an ocean view in Laguna and we got it. We were greeted and seated promptly for our 10AM reservation made through Open Table (first time using). Our server, Sergio was dedicated, attentive and friendly. The food was presented nicely and quite tasty. And the Champagne flowed freely! If you have never tried Las Brisas before, don't let the entry area cause alarm. (It did for me) Once you are seated in the dining area that first impression disappears. Best impression? The servers were all old school professional, real waitstaff. Not sure if they even have a wine list. We asked for a Chardonnay and they brought a Clos de Bois which certainly did the job, but normally the server should bring a wine list.
The server forgot to serve the chocolate mousse that I saw on the bill, but I reminded him and he went and got it.
