  • "Larsen's did an outstanding job in making my daughter's 21st birthday a celebration to remember! The only thing I would say was a little disappointing was the "family style" dishes and the grilled oysters. The oysters were a little salty for my taste; and the "family style" dishes were not portioned, as such. We had a party of 14 people and in order for everyone to enjoy these dishes, we would have had to get 4 of each of the side dishes, which was not my plan. The portions were too small. My suggestion would be when you have large parties, to give the option of having "Family Style" side dishes, this way all members of the party can enjoy the delicious food! Thanks again for an enjoyable dinner!"

  • "Our waiter Ian was nice, he was a a very fast talker so we had to ask him a few times to repeat himself. The prices are insanely high. My sea bass was ruined with saturated fat and was the size of maybe three girl bites. Otherwise the potions were large. The steak was excellent and so were the appetizers. The desert is not worth noting. Next time I will take my lazy self to the west side or the beach to go to a restaurant that costs the same or less for a dinner that will be more interesting and the crowd will be energetic. If I come back , I will sit in bar and enjoy appetizers and cocktails, just for something to do out here or go back to TPC, best restaurant in SCV."

  • "My husband, daughter and I enjoyed a memorable dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was the third time we'd been to Larsen's and as in the previous visits, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The restaurant was busier this time so the noise level was higher but we could still carry on a conversation in our booth without having to raise our voices. We only encountered one issue which was remedied quickly. My daughter's crab dinner arrived looking overcooked and dry, but upon notifying the waiter, it was quickly replaced with apologies from the waiter, chef and manager. Some people might think it's pricey, but the ambience, food, and service add up to a very enjoyable dining experience, well worth the cost."

  • "Some aspects of our meal were excellent, others mediocre. Our waiter, think his name was Andrew, absolutely great ! We ordered the crab, spinich and artichoke dip, was very nice and light. Of the entrees the lamb chops were great but the NY strip steak was at best mediocre. The sides we had were the sautteed brocolinni which was odd, swimming in some sort of garlic liquid and the Au Gratin potatoes which were great. Wine list is excellent. Overall, for what we spent, we would probably not go back."

  • "Nice restaurant for a special occasion as the food and wine are extremely costly. There was a variety of food and everything we had was very good but we will not be going back anytime soon. Although they do have a nice bar and there was live music so we may try them for a drink and to listen to the music sometime."

  • "Waiter was not real knowledgeable about the menu- when we said we had never been there he said welcome back and he asked us twice. He over poured our wine and did not explain the specials. The sommelier on the other hand was excellent. Food was good however the side dishes were shared but they did not bring small plates so you had to mix them with your main course on the same plate."

  • "I have always been 100% in love with Larsen's. Been going to the one in the valley now for years. My last experience there was very undesirable. My waitress was rude, impatient, and very inattentive. The food was cold and we felt rushed. We didn't even stay for dessert, which we would always do. I just went again to the Valencia Larsen's as I also have done in the past. This time the service was good, but the food cold. The wine I ordered was out. A bottle of Robert Mondavi was my replacement. I had purchased a low end bottle that night, but was shocked when the wine connoisseur returned with that to replace it. Passing it off to me as a fine wine. Not happy!"

  • "My wife, son and I came to Larsens because it is known for their food. My son's steak was excellent cooked to perfection, however my wife and I shared the Prime Rib special and were disappointed with the doneness of the meal. My wife likes her beef medium rare and I'm a blood rare type of guy. I know how hard it is to cook Prime Rib and please many people on the doneness, so I was questionable if the Prime Rib wouldn't be overdone. The waiter indicated that there were four slices which were cooked medium and about seven cooked closer to medium rare. Because of his recommendation we chose the Prime Rib. We were disappointed as the pieces were more medium and fairly dry. I've had wonderful steaks here and should have gone with my gut!!"

  • "We chose Larsen's because it was local and came highly recommended. The restaurant was beautiful, and each employee was courteous and polite. We were greeted with well wishes as soon as we opened the door. We loved our reserved table (no waiting on a crowed & busy Saturday night), our dinner was great, wine fantastic! We were asked to pick a complementary dessert, on the house, to help us celebrate our special occasion. We were even given a greeting card, signed by the restaurant staff, with well wishes! Food was great, our table was ready when we arrived, service was outstanding! We highly recommend it! Its worth the extra money when your treated so specially and enjoy wonderful service and a delicious dinner!"

  • "My girlfriend and I went to Larsen's for our two year anniversary. It was amazing. Before the meal had begun, they gave us a card that said happy anniversary, it was very thoughtful. I ordered the grass fed fillet and it wad insanely good it was cooked to perfection the way I asked. My girlfriend got the petite fillet mignon and she said it was amazing too. The mashed potatoes are awesome as well. As for the service, they checked up every so often and made us feel welcome. At the end of the meal, they gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate. And it was TO DIE FOR!! Overall, the meal was expensive, but TOTALLY WORTH IT!"

  • "The service and ambience were great. Unfortunately, the steaks that my wife and I had were not to the level I would expect from a higher end steak house such as Larson's . Very little flavor and my rib eye was not very tender. I also would not recommend the broccolini side dish. The wine selection is very nice and the chocolate peanut butter cake for desert was wonderful. All and all my wife and I had a pleasant dining experience except for the steaks."

  • "For upscale pricing menu is fairly simplistic. No effort appears to be made in offering any grass or pasture fed protein, wild fish, etc. Kind of fake upscale in my opinion. Crappy soy glazes, nothing to appeal for the more healthy eating. Could eat healthier and more sustainable at Chipotle Grill across the street."

  • "My wife and I had an amazing evening together at Larsen's. The atmosphere including the live music set the stage for a fabulous dinner. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Mine had the blue cheese crust added, which was delicious! Our recommended wine was outstanding and the Mac and Cheese with Bacon and Jalapeños is a must! We closed out our evening with some port and the apple tart, which was a perfect finish. The service was so friendly and warm and made us feel right at home for special evening together. In the Santa Clarita Valley, there is no doubt! Larsen's is the best for fine dining! We will be back. We have eaten at Mastro's, Ruth's Chris, The Chop House, The Palm and others, so we have high standards. Larsen's did not disappoint"

  • "I made my reservation weeks in advance and requested a booth for a romantic Valentine's Day for my wife and I at 8:30pm. We had eaten here before and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We arrived about 15 min. early and let the gal at the desk know we were there and we would be in the bar. She told me that she had my reservation, but would not be able to put us in a booth because it was Valentines and very busy. Not wanting to ruin the evening I went with the flow and proceeded to the bar. After 2 drinks and about a 45 min wait I went and asked what is happening with our seating? The gal said they could seat us now. We were led to a small circle table that seemed to be squeezed onto the dining area. Bottom line, NOT HAPPY!!!"

  • "We've been there before and had a great meal. It seemed that this time, the chef fell in love with salt. I like a sold crust on Miami, but this was a little overboard. Everything was salty, steaks, vegetables and the onion rings. Still, it was a good meal. The staff was very attentive and service was great. It was our anniversary and they had a hand signed card along with a dessert. We will go back, but will ask them to hold the season."

I would bet they were frozen judging by the texture, dryness and flavor. What a shame since everything else was so nice."

Had poor experience with service and seating that included being offered a lousy table in a the stuffy side room filled with families with children and with a table and seat in a doorway, chairs in the main dining room with seats that sagged, not being offered service for 20 minutes while the server stood with his back to us schmoozing some regular and to top it off, being bumped into by the port cart because the table was in an aisle....like the old saying: "Besides that, how'd ya like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?". The food and wine were good but for the money I'll gladly go to one of the others next time."
