Best Brunch in Santa Clarita By FarWe went for Mother's Day Brunch and were very impressed. My wife and I have been here twice for dinner, but this was our first time taking our three children (12, 10, and 5 year old girls) and Larsen's first time offering brunch. Having been to Salt Creek Grille and The Vines Sunday Brunches in the past for Mother's Day, I think Larsen's was significantly better. All the usual brunch buffet suspects were there including an omelet bar and a waffle bar, fruit platter, dessert tray, etc. But in addition they had an amazing seafood bar with oysters on the half shell and king crab legs. Both the beef roast and the tri tip from the carving table were amazing. And the champagne never stopped flowing. My husband and I split a 12 oz filet mignon and added the 1/2 lb king crab. Steak was cooked well, however it had a chalky texture to it and was bland. Not a bad steak, just not what you'd expect from a Steakhouse of this price and quality...like Smith and Wollensky...yum! The crab was good (sweet not salty) but it wasnt a half pound. The garlic potatoes were good. Creme Brûlée was ok...a little under done. The music was unobtrusive and fit the mood. The rib eye was simply perfect, flavorful, perfectly seasoned. The garlic mashed potatoes as well as the grilled asparagus were the ideal side dishes to accompany the steak. The wine selection is fantastic with a wide selection of prices. The service was also excellent. Our waiter was wonderful. He explained the menu and told us his favorites. I agree with his taste. When i go to any restaurant and I can't make up my mind what I want to order I always get the opinion of the server.
The only problem I had, and it was a fairly big one, is the reservation was for 7:30 and we weren't seated until about 8:30. It seemed to me to be overbooked.

I have to say.. I really liked Larsen's. I made a reservation for 2 via Open Table and was VERY satisfied that we were given a booth.
Since we have been trying to eat healthier, we always order fish or chicken when we go out. I had my concerns because this is a steak house..right?
Our waiter recommended the blackened cod. He said it is pretty underrated and often overlooked on the menu.
We split a salad...and yes, it is definitely big enough to split! It was very good!
We ordered the blackened cod and the Chilean sea bass. The cod...OMG! was so very very good. The sea bass....not so much.
Sides of asparagus and green beans. Generous helpings...easy to split.

Larsen's was a top notch experience. Our server Gary was amazing and loved that the management staff checked on the tables. But overall food was OUTSTANDING. Would drive to Valencia just to eat here again!
