Larks - Home Kitchen Cuisine at The Ashland Springs HotelIt was a LarkMy companion and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Lark's. Our servers were courteous and solicitous. Our meals were served promptly and their presentation was lovely. Above all, the food was very enjoyable; portions, just right. I highly recommend this restaurant.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh & well preparedEverything is thoughtfully prepared using the freshest ingredients. We always make it a point to eat at Larks when we visit Ashland.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLark's is a real find in AshlandAs foodies, we appreciate Lark's attention to local and sustainable resources, and have been frequenting Larks for several years now on every visit to Ashland. The food is all consistently flavorful, with attention to the variety and bounty of the season. Service is always attentive and responsive. The bartenders also play a role with their personalized specialty cocktails. Most recently, we were even provided with a hand written recipe for their Grapefruit Sole. So refreshing! We will be back to Lark's.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAshland "Farm to Fork" PerfectionThoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Larks on Wednesday evening. Food was beautifully prepared and presented. Flavors were superb - executed with delicious locally sourced ingredients. The Qunioa Koftas with spaghetti squash was superb. Our server was excellent - attentive, but not overbearing. She kept our water & wine glasses filled throughout the meal and checked back with us shortly after each course was served to insure that everything was fine.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLarge portions of extraordinarilyLarge portions of extraordinarily imaginative dishes composed of fresh ingredients. A really amazing mea!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner before a show!!We had a wonderful dining experience at Lark's, it was recommended by the Lithia Springs Resort where we were staying and didn't disappoint! Our server was charming, I had the Halibut and my Husband had their signature Fried Chicken dinner. Everything was terrific and we got out in plenty of time for the show without feeling rushed!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best comfort food on the planetWe love this restaurant! Intuitive servers, attention to the last detail, yet never intrusive. Larks is a lovely comfortable setting where you feel pampered from the first to the last. They made it possible to quietly efficiently add another setting to our table to accommodate a late arrival whom we did not expect to join us just as if he were a long lost son one home to Sunday dinner. And, the food, ah, the food! From the dungeness crab fondue to the Southern fried chicken, to the ivory salmon, to the maple chops, and Kobe flat iron steak - not a misstep to be seen. Each dish perfect. If you visit Ashland, you MUST visit Larks, or your experience is incomplete.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMa bit richI found the food a bit rich for my taste. I also felt it was a bit pricey.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFourth year at LarksI always make my reservation ahead of time and I'm glad I do. Larks is the most amazing restaurant experience. By far, the best in Ashland. I am a regular visitor to the OSF and I will skip all other restaurants except Larks on my next visit.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is my sixth or seventhThis is my sixth or seventh trip to Larks with my Oregon Shakespeare Festival group. As usual, we had a wonderful meal and excellent service. There are restaurants in Ashland with a more ambitious menu, but Larks consistently delivers very tasty simple food that pleases the palate. (Quite frankly, we'd go back just to get our fix of the crab fondue!)5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMthe big 31It was our anniversary and they made it all happen just right!!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMPersonable staff and excellent foodStaff from hostess to server to bartender make you feel welcome and comfortable in this high-end restaurant. We had brunch, lunch, and dinner in May. Brunch and lunch a good value with dinner-sized portions. Pan-seared scallops cooked perfectly. Delicious homemade salted caramel ice cream. The sides and sauces made the meals--pork belly hash, blackberry reduction, and a cream of potato and spinach soup that tasted like a liquid spinach souffle.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome!Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Food was very good, and prepared with care.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss Lark's in Ashland! The atmosphere (cheerful, bright, stylish), food, wine, and service were outstanding. We are regulars to Ashland but had brought my sister for the first time. She reported her scallops to be the best she had ever had (also, she will never get over the sundae). I had the same dish and have to agree. We also got the fried chicken and a sundae based on a recommendation from another couple. One reason we love Lark's is that the local greens and inventiveness of the salads are simply fantastic and never disappoint. This was our highlight dinner for the weekend. Thank you!!!!!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFondueThe crab/cheese fondue is the very best; and, the bread that they serve with it is almost better! I've always been treated very well and I would highly recommend the restaurant for dinner before and after the OSF.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an outstanding dinnerWe had an outstanding dinner at Larks. Unpretentious. An very fine experience.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerefect pre-Theatre diningLess than two blocks from the OSF Festival, Larks menu has a wide variety tasty entrees, with elegant presentations, offered in a timely manner by an attentive wait-staff, all designed to get you to the theatre well before the opening curtain.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable diningOur expectations were a bit higher than the experience provided. The food was good but not great. My broccollini was almost too tough to chew and had a fishy taste. Think it had been fried. My husbands pork chop was huge but over-cooked and had taken a long time to be served. However, prices were typical for the area, the service was good and we would probably try it again.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI'm picky; I'm happy with Lark'sAlways have pleasant servers, very good food, and usually a quiet environment that enables conversation at normal decibel levels. I'm a health-conscious person who cooks most things from scratch, so I don't frequent restaurants with mediocre chefs. I'd rather fix my own meals! Larks is also a fine venue for meeting a friend for lunch or for having a group. I've done both.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the halibut & it wasWe had the halibut & it was excellent ! Enjoyed a fine Oregon Chardonnay Would highly recommend their dinner menu4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a fun experience toIt was a fun experience to be sure and the food was excellent and service just fine.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLarks has always been a bigLarks has always been a big part of our annual/semi annual Ashland Shakespearian experience. The fresh cod was absolutely wonderful.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLarks is a lovely place forLarks is a lovely place for brunch. Our waiter was so attentive, not too removed or too pushy. His energy was just right. I so appreciated how he was. The food is very good and somehow the menu was ordinary, not outstanding. I missed the experience of having many things on the menu that drew me in...there were only a couple. The only real downside is that a couple were playing music in the corner on some device and no one asked them to turn it down. I eventually did. I wish the staff had noticed. This is the first time I was there for brunch and I would go back. And, I wish the food were turned up a notch.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMNice atmosphere, good food,Nice atmosphere, good food, overall a nice place to take guests in Ashland.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat before OSFA mainstay of Ashland and always great local ingredients.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful as alwaysDelightful fresh local food each dish perfectly prepared. Fish is done but not dry, signature pork chop is enough for 2 great meals
Lusious dessersts as well good use of fruit and rich but not too rich choclate.
Good diverse wine list and knowlegable staff.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFine dining at home in AshlandMy girlfriend's birthday presented the first opportunity for me to make a dining reservation via my IPad. I found it very easy and super convenient. The web site is very well done. Our table was ready on time and the staff took care of us immediately. We found the food to be generally quite good, even excellent. The cod special for the day was very tasty but it just felt like something else could have " sparked" it to exceptional. My pork chop was huge with first class presentation. The crust and the fond glaze were all you could for. A great meal with friends at a local gem!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWaiters were extremely knowledgeablWaiters were extremely knowledgeable and efficient. Food was fresh and tasty. Excellent experience prior to an afternoon in the Bowmer Theatre. Thank you!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the best dinner inWe had the best dinner in a very long time. Our waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings and made a more than satisfactory recommendation. Our only less than satisfactory dish was the bartlett pear salad. It was a bit bland. The rest of our dinner was outstanding.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA must for us each time weA must for us each time we come to Ashland. Always something unique & tasty on the menu. Excellent cocktails. You can always hear & be heard.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
