Lark Creek has been known as a place for meatloaf and mashed potatoes but I found items that were great for a diet too. We've had very good to excellent lunches and dinners here. The restaurant has a good selection of meat and seafood dishes including good old comfort food choices. Food prices are reasonable considering their high quality. Wine prices are better than at most other local restaurants. After a filling meal, half-size desserts are a good option. There were times I felt like I was in their way.
Fortunately I love the food here, and the fact that they focus on a few things rather than a 20 page menu, so this seat will not stop me from returning.
We were a little early but that was no problem. Usually I go right to wine but their cocktails are clever and tasty so we always start with a cocktail here. The fish dish over carrot puree with spring vegetables was surprisingly good but also very light. It was entertaining to watch the expeditor and see all the dishes pouring out of the open kitchen. This was our first time at the Walnut Creek restaurant and we were thoroughly pleased. We will return. Our food was excellent, our waiter, Daniel, was most hospitable and kept us smiling all evening. I must say the Cucumber Refresher was one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I have had, it went so well with my dinner, and my husband is still talking about his pork chop.
