The atmosphere is light and airy, with American country charm, sidewalk seating, an exhibition kitchen, and the new Oakville Room seating up to 36 guests for private functions. The changing menu, created by Chef Scott Wall includes seasonal, farm-fresh American fare featuring traditional and updated recipes. Produce, meats, poultry, fish, and other products from local ranchers, growers, and fishermen. Housemade desserts; local and regional wines.

Lark Creek Walnut Creek beverage service features 125 American wines, including offerings on tap, by the glass and in half-bottles, with local and regional producers featured. Full bar; fresh fruit and fountain beverages.

It took 10 minutes for her to take our order and another 20 minutes for our food and we ordered two simple dishes. The waitress was not apologetic. The table next to us was flabbergasted by their wait and the waitress being clueless as to why the long wait. To further the let down- I discover the waitress who checked us in did not confirm my reservation with Open Table."

  • "We celebrated a birthday on Sunday, April 13th. 3 ordered the All American 3-Course dinner. 1 ordered the half chicken and 2 ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf. The 4th had the Halibut. All 4 dinners were delicious. However, the "half chicken" turned out to be a small breast and small leg. Not wanting to make a fuss during a birthday celebration, I did not say anything to the waiter. Speaking of the service, it was outstanding. Overall it was an excellent meal, but I was disappointed in the portion served. I might try it again but will speak up if that happens again."

  • "Lark Creek is a very good restaurant. The food is healthy and delicious, and the signature dessert (butterscotch pudding) is worth the trip by itself. The ambiance is great and is appropriate for everything from a date night (nice decor, sophisticated waiters) to a Sunday night family dinner (kid menu with the basics plus a few treats that you wouldn't expect at a place like this, such as vanilla milkshakes). My one real complaint is that the kitchen must be overbooked, on multiple occasions, it took a really long time for us to get served."

To the point where you were yelling to here one another. This could have been the acoustics but also we had an extremely boisterous table in the same room with us. I think you could bring older kids here and be fine too. Although, I didn't see any."

I did get a kale salad without the cheese, and a bowl of spinach when I last went. Please think about putting a vegan entrée on your menu."

The bleu cheese crumbles alleged to be on the salad were micrscopic if present at all. Overall, a feeling of ambivalence: What just happened for a hundred bucks? Won't be back. Too many superior alternatives."

I will get you water…no water. I will get your cocktails…..waited forever when it wasn't even busy, sat and sat and sat while we waited for our check. He was just standing around chatting with other food servers. He was very nice when the check finally came (of course) and then rushed to the table when we hit the door to see what we tipped him….very tacky! Would I come back, yes, but would request to sit in an area where the best food server is next time."

  • "We had a very nice dinner here the other night. I hadn't been to Lark Creek in awhile and their menu has changed a bit. The recommendations that our waiter made were great. Jeff was the waiter and he was both friendly and knowledgeable. He seemed to hit the right balance of being helpful and informative without interrupting our conversation. He also had a great sense of humor. One of us had the baked petrale sole which was excellent. The root beer float was also a tasty finish to the meal. My only comment is that we don't eat pork and the menu seems to have a lot more pork on it than in the past. Even the roasted chicken had a pancetta sauce. We asked for the chicken without sauce and the result was that the chicken was a bit dry."
