Diner Reviews
  • "I love the rustic elegance of the establishment. Firdt class but relaxing."

  • "A little known spot for most people. Elegant western atmosphere. Always friendly staff. Good fresh Fish selection, which is very hard to find out in the desert. Wine list needs a little work, selection and pricing are not up to speed."

  • "Made reservation thru open table. When arrived we were given a bar side table. Many in main dinning room were open. I do believe they may give special attention to there hotel guests. This is fine! But they should let you know that you will be in the bar instead of dinning room. Very dissappointed . Felt like we were after thoughts with service."

  • "Very busy on a Saturday night. 45 minutes until we received our drink order. Unfortunately that set the tone for the rest of the evening."

  • "Once we finally received our food, it was good. However, it took an inordinate amount of time to actually get service after we were seated. The food was equally slow in coming out."

  • "They are more interested in display than substance. Over priced for what you get. Courses were out of order. Desert cake was very small and dry."

  • "My Wife's steak was very good, however my fish was over cooked. The wine list isn't bad but needs some expansion. I thought it strange that when you order vodka tonic it came without a lime."

  • "My wife, borther-in-law, his wife, and I enjoyed a lovely valetine's dinner. Great food, great conversation, great experience."

  • "A special NYE menu that was 5 courses and from the pumpkin soup to the salad all the way to the filet mignon and lobster tail was superbly done and very tasteful. To top off all things the chocolate torte with raspberry was a great way to end a dinner. The portions were surprisingly large for fixed price and service was very good."

  • "We had a wonderful evening and a fantastic meal New Year's Eve at the Lariat Grill. The menu was price fixed due to the special occasion so selection was limited but we had a well prepared 5 course meal and a fine bottle of wine to celebrate the new year. Service was very attentive and noise level was moderate due to the large crowd and open seating environment."

  • "Thursday night is burger night. Prices were raised from $9.95 to $12.95. Our food was good but the service was not. Our waitress was attentive but very hurried. Took a long time to get our food, when we asked for mayo, it never came. Also took a long time to get our check. Server was confused as to whose table he brought food for - not once but a couple of times. Atmosphere was very noisy."

  • "Full Service Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ. Charming, welcoming, delightful staff, great food, super views. It's an internationally known resort with a neighborhood feel, very comfortable, upscale but casual as well. Hotel complex with pool and other amenities, plus golf access and a marvelous spa."

  • "The Lariat was recommended by a friend. We were celebrating an 85th birthday and the dining experience could not have been better. The house wine was very good. We ordered the asparagus appetizer with crab and hollandaise sauce. I would go back just to have that again. Everything that our party ordered was delicious. Service was on spot and very friendly."
