Jazz music added to the ambiance and everyone in the same section of the restaurant seemed to be having as good a time as we did. The servers were excellent, both at describing the food and recommending wine pairings to complement the meal. They also allowed us to savor the experience and the jazz rather than rushing us through so that they could turn the table. The lightly breaded trout lay in a pool of magically delicious delicate mustard sauce next feather-light flash-sauteed spinach. The braised mushrooms were dubiously paired with red and green bell pepper, and the delicious sauce was too thin to stick to the mushrooms or the penne pasta, but the end result was good to the last drop. We fought over the house-made carrot cake, out from under the traditional thick and sweet frosting and wearing a thin crispy caramel glaze. Like the website says, the dress is more business casual so don't be under dressed or you'll stand out.
My only complaint is the volume of the music. I know it's live music and jazz which is awesome, but if you sit near the band/player it's very loud and difficult to have a conversation. Other than that I highly recommend it.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Brunch SpotFree parking next to it, food was fabulous, service was fantastic, I left there stuffed and still wanting more. I knew we would be back for dinner one day very soon. This is a must go spot, you can't ask for anything more. I absolutely loved everything. We had the mushroom rounds, and tutta mare as appetizers and French toast with a side of eggs with cheese and Seafood crepe. Everything was great. For dessert to go I had the lemon berry tart and my friend had the chocolate bread pudding. And the entrees were wonderful as well. We particularly enjoyed the jazz band. It was just a magical evening. I was delighted to see that those of us who go there for the music AND the food are now seated in the larger dining room away from the TVs and the noisy bar. The service is great and the food is always well-prepared. My guests raved about the flash-fried oysters and the mussels in white wine. The Tutte Mare is to die for! And the desserts - it's hard to choose from Margaret's delectible array. It's even harder to share... Musically, Ms. Sharon Clark is a true gem and not to be missed. Ingredients were very fresh and everything was perfectly cooked (which always helps). There was a nice assortment of dishes as well with a focus on seafood and pasta. The Chicken Envoltine is a house special and rightly so. We must also call out the Onion tart (surprisingly subtle in flavor) and the Strawberries Fleurette.
The service was not perfect, but it was quite attentive. The only negatives I'd mention to the experience is that the decor isn't great and the music. The live music's problem was that the speakers were not well adjusted and we were right near one. I and friends were there for brunch on a Sunday and it was lovely.We were there early celebrating a friends birthday. It was not a holiday and the restaurant was not too crowded. There was a table waiting for us. There were no lines and no noise. Service is quick, but we were not rushed at all. And, we were able to relax and talk and stay as long as we liked. The brunch menu is full of tempting items and the food is first rate. There were at least 6 different entrees ordered amongst 10 people and everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food. The only downfall was the lobster bisque. Several people including myself said it did not taste much like lobster bisque and we were surprise to see that it did not have any lobster in the bisque. The service was a little slow but maybe because they were so busy.

Our salads were fresh and very tasty (field greens and Cesar). My dining partner's seared salmon was very tasty as was my salmon pasta with dill cream sauce.
