Diner Reviews
  • "I had the cod and my wife had the chicken with eggplant, etc. The Cod could have come from the supermarket freezer though the chicken was quite good. Wine was $13/glass which is a bit over the top for this area. I rejected the Branzino $40 special because most of this fish in the U.S. is from Greece and is tasteless and farm raised - not what you want in Naples, FL."

  • "This was our second time in 2 weeks, which is a great sign because in Naples there are so many options. The service was excellent, food delicious and wine selection super. The owner came over as we were leaving to make sure everything was fine. Highly recommend your restaurant when travelling to Naples. We will be back!"

  • "If you think I'm picky, my husband is even worse.. And we both loved everything, especially our darling waiter, authentic from Sardinia. Food was prepared perfectly and delicious"

  • "Very welcoming restaurant - food was fantastic and service was very friendly and attentive."

  • "We had a party of 4 adults, new to the restaurant. We thought the food was very good, ample portions, and good service. Prices were expected for the type and location of restaurant. Noise level would be as expected, a bit hard to carry on a conversation. Overall it was a nice experience and we look forward to returning."

  • "Lovely restaurant but disappointing food. The salads we excellent , very fresh so we were disappointed when our delicious house made pasta, and all sauces, were very over salted. All four at our table ordered different dishes but had the same complaint."

  • "Just like momma makes it, cause she does. Dining there is just like being with family. Takes me back to my little Italian Nana making me dinner. Always delicious. The only problem is trying something different, I always want to order my favorite dish."

  • "The food was delicious and the service with Cosomo was attentive and professional. Although the per glass price was high, the food was very reasonable."

  • "We go there frequently for the early specials -- very nice. We have recommended it to friends."

  • "This is almost a really good restaurant. The main courses are quite good. Although the pricing is a bit high the overall quality of food and location offer justification. The calimari was a bit bland and average. The drinks were stiff and fairly priced for Fifth. Service was friendly in a sort of hurried stuccato way (to be fair our server was saddled with a large group with rambunctious kids). Overall it was perfectly pleasant just not great. However, we will be goung back after season. Even if nothing changed the pasta dishes are worth a return trip."

  • "This was our 2nd visit to L'Angolo and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent and our waiter, Cosimo, was absolutely great! I'm Italian and it was great to speak to him in my native language. I felt like I was at home again and mom was cooking in the kitchen. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Naples, FL."

  • "Food was excellent as was the service. But it was very pricey."

  • "I loved their home made pasta - especially the squid ink tagliolini. Wines by the glass were a little steep, enough to make you think twice about coming. They should have a few choices less than $12. Cappucino was very good."

  • "Food is good and pasta appears to be homemade. A little pricier than I like for pasta, the location probably mandates the higher price to cover the rent. The new ownership is a big improvement over the prior establishment that preceded it."

  • "Best pasta in Naples - all homemade and delicious. Excellent veal dishes as well. If you enjoy Italian food you will enjoy this authentic Itlaian experience."

  • "My wife and I, along with another couple, were going to a performance and decided to try L'Angolo's early bird menu. The service was very good. We were greeted by the owners and the waiter was very helpful and polite. The early bird menu comes with a glass of house wine, appetizer and entree from a select menu. The choices met all of our interests. The food was very good and we would go back. The only issue was that the portions were significantly smaller than the regular service. The pasta dishes in particular were almost appetizer size. The food was so good we longed for more of it."

  • "L'Angolo is absolutely wonderful. The food is amazing (homemade pasta!), and the service is great as well! I went there twice in a row, with different people. The first night I had a Caesar Salad which was wonderful, and Gnocchi which was amazing! The second night I went there I had fried calamari (great too) and Cheese Ravioli, which was amazing (much due to the amazing homemade pasta)! The service was also great. The owners are also very nice. I'm also returning tomorrow! Everyone who I went to L'Angolo with loved it, and I certainly recommend it! It's a wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant!"

  • "When we got the bill the price of the salad and vegetable side dish was $2.00 more than on the menu - when we asked the hostess as to why the price difference were told that they had to charge market price - couldn't just charge as per the menu. We've never experienced this before at any other restaurant - had the waiter maybe pointed this out to us before ordering we might not have felt like they were tryinng to slide extra charges through without people knowing. All in all not a good experience."

  • "Another review by me. The food is top notch, moderately priced (although the wine is pricey. L'Angelo continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Naples."

  • "This was our first time to L'Angolo. The dining experience could not have been better. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. Our server, Danny was tops. Very helpful with suggestions. The bruschetta was delicious. We all had pasta. Fresh & homemade. We would recommend the Beef Ravioli & the special, Pasta with Shrimp in a White Wine & Garlic Sauce. The wine was perfect. All in all, the whole dining experience was delightful. We will definitely return very soon. Highly recommend! 5 stars in our book!"

  • "It is located right on Fifth Avenue in Naples. The pasta is made by the owner's mother who is from Italy. I would definitely recommend it."

  • "My wife and I had gone to a matinee show at the Gulfshore Playhouse so we strolled to 5th Ave for a quick early bird dinner. L'Angolo has an early bird special with 2 courses plus a glass of wine for $18pp. We decided to share oour dishes so we ordered bruschetta and caprese salad as appetizers. For our main courses we shared veal parmigiana and pasta arrabiata. All of the food was delicious. The best part of the dinner was the service. George was terrific. He was well versed in the menu and when my wife asked him questions about cooking, he knew the answers. She was thrilled. The final bill was $38- cheap by Naples standards."

  • "We were meeting another couple who we had not seen in over a year. We were a little early but when we checked in, the hostess told us the other couple had already been there and was coming back. She even told us what the wife was wearing and said she would look for them. She offered us the table if we wanted to sit. When our friends came a few minutes later, we were shown a great table. The fresh pastas are all homemade by the mother and they were delicious!! They are made with imported flour... it makes all the difference. The burrata with arugula and tomatoes was a great start to the meal. Towards the end of the meal, the hostess even checked on us to make sure we liked the food and the service. What service!!! We will be back!"

  • "I booked this restaurant through open table and was shocked when it was reservation time that I received a text saying my table was ready!! We hadn't even checked in. I think the host was surprised as well. We had a very attentive waiter, George, who made sure we were taking care of. The food was excellent and the service was superb. I will definitely be back."

  • "It was our first time dining at Langolo and we will return. We choose the $18 option, which included a glass of wine , a small appetizer and a small main choice.. The food was very tasty, and the potion sizes, while on the small size, were perfect for us. The menu included Baccala, a Mediterranean cod dish, which is rare on Italian menus. It was very tasty."

  • "This place was recommended, so we expected good things. Started out with drinks at the bar. 6 drinks at $100 and they weren't special. Service at the table was terrible. Food was ok. Order dessert and they forgot to bring the coffee -- how does that happen. For the price tag the place is not worth it."
