A word from Langdon's Restaurant
Langdon's Restaurant and Wine Bar is located in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, just across the Cooper River from the historic city of Charleston. Chef and owner Patrick Langdon Owens has taken Lowcountry cooking to a different level. Crispy local grouper served atop brie grits with applewood smoked bacon chardonnay basil cream or pepper crusted tuna over baby greens with avocado relish and wasabi-topped with fried leeks are just two of the many wonderful selections that are featured at Langdon's Restaurant and Wine Bar.Continued

  • "Langdon's is always great food, great service in a neighborhood environment. Casual, yet high quality all the way for food and service. What else do you go out for?"

  • "One of our very favorites but not quite up to snuff this time"

  • "We had an excellent dinner here. Food was superb with excellent paring of ingredients. They made adjustments for the dairy and gluten intolerant person and even created a desert for me who has no dietary issue, just a hankering. The waitress was among the best I've ever had. She knows her stuff, is super attentive but not clingy, very helpful and pleasant. Definitely worth a visit."

  • "We booked on open table and said it was our anniversary. We received a glass of champagne and a nice dessert to celebrate our anniversary. We went early which was nice because the noise level was real low so we were able to hear the music. And the food was wonderful"

  • "When I think of fine dining, I think of the many wonderful restaurants in downtown Charleston. But if you want that same quality experience in Mt. Pleasant, then Langdon's is a great choice. My luncheon companion and I were greeted by a friendly staff and seated in a comfortable booth in a dining room where we were able to have a quiet conversation. The luncheon selections were varied and interesting. The scallops/wok-seared bok choy entree and the shrimp/prosciutto/grits dish were attractively presented and utterly delicious. We also enjoyed the red pepper tomato soup with which we began our meal. The wine selections were varied with a choice of either a five or eight ounce glass. I certainly recommend Langdon's. Bon Appetit!"

  • "Went to Langdon's for a weeknight anniversary dinner. Everything was wonderful as usual. The filet cannot be surpassed and the salmon was excellent. Scallop appetizer was perfect and arugula salad with caramelized pears and goat cheese was amazing. Chocolate dessert and Irish coffee was a perfect end to a perfect meal."

  • "We have been going to Langdon's for 8-10 years and are never disappointed. It is one of our top 3 favorites in all of Charleston, and convenient when staying at the beach. The arugula salad is to die for and my shrimp special was perfect. Love this place!"

  • "This is a very nice restaurant and not in downtown Charleston. Located in a small shopping center, with easy parking. The food was great but the prices a little higher than you woul expect if you had first not read the reviews or checked. We were a party of 6 and each had a different dish...all reported very good! We certainly will return."

  • "Our lunch waiter Bill's service was beyond what one could ask for. Food, as usual, was great. The hostess made us feel special and welcome."

  • "Langdon's Restaurant is tucked away in the Bi-Lo shopping center off Hwy 17 and Shellmore Blvd. If you've not been, it's tough to find in the shopping center. Once at the shopping center I had to call them to be directed to the restaurant. I must say, the service and food are right up there with the best the Charleston area has to offer. It was nothing short of incredibly delicious. The duck I had was the best I've ever been served anywhere. The flavors were complex and satisfying. I have never heard of anyone being disappointed by the food at Langdon's. While the food is as good as anything downtown, the prices are pretty comparable to downtown as well. But as they say, you get what you pay for. Plan on at least $100+ for two."

  • "The best restaurant in Mount Pleasant! Best Pomegranate martini. Something for everyone on the menu. My husband said the pork chop was outstanding, the tomato bisque was delicious and tangy, and the shrimp and grits are noteworthy! Able to converse without having to shout."

  • "Langdon's is one of our favorites for special occasions. The food is great and the service is impeccable. The servers are friendly and attentive. It's a bit pricey, so we usually save it for anniversaries and birthdays. Well worth it!"

  • "We have been to Langdon's several times and have always enjoyed it. This time, we took friends from out of state. One of them is very sensitive to noise and avoids most restaurants for that reason. He was delighted to find that we could all have a conversation without shouting over ear-shattering music or noise from other patrons. The food was excellent, and the varied menu meant that the foodies in the group found many things to like, while the person who really only likes Italian cuisine also found something enjoyable. The lighting was subdued and romantic and the decor was tasteful. The knowledgeable waitstaff were helpful without being intrusive. Langdon's is now on on our friends' "favorites" list."

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. The staff was knowledgeable and provided excellent service. Overall our food was great. I would recommend everything but the steak. My ribeye was tough. I had to remove several bites from my mouth back to the plate. Not what you'd expect from a $60 steak unless long chewing sessions are what you're looking for. Very disappointed. Anyone can through some tasty sauce on a piece of fish, but few can prepare a great steak. I Recommend you change the price of the18oz Ribeye from $59 to $16 same as Outback."

  • "Had never been and went based on reviews read. It was awesome. Great service, food, wine, and all reasonably well priced for a resturant of this nature."

  • "On a recent trip to Charleston, my dining experience at Langdon's was outstanding! The food and service were brilliant. The chef really understands how to combine flavors. I began with the curried duck and mint spring rolls which were a special treat. For an entree, I had the duck breast with succotash and tart cherry pomegranate glaze. The flavors of both dishes were truly amazing, and presentation was also first rate. The service was very high quality, with great attention to detail, knowledgeable about the menu, and sensitive to my personal preferences. Outstanding performance!"

  • "I chose Langdon's because of prior visits and knowing that I would find good quality at a reasonable price. On Valentine's Day, so many restaurants have "Special" very over priced meals which frequently are not their best. Langdon's offered their standard menu at standard pricing with excellent service in their peaceful, elegant and quiet atmosphere. Well done!"

  • "You don't always have to go downtown to have great food. Langdon's is well worth the visit. I plan to visit their other restaurant because I was so impressed with this one. The highest recommendation. Really enjoyed the evening's special of lobster over filet."

  • "There was an excellent Foie Gras for our first course!! We always have Foie Gras overseas. Because we can't find them anywhere in/around Charleston. But it was first time to have them with Ponzu sauce. Well, it was quite different, but taste good too! We just enjoyed having Foie Gras in anyways. Also it was a nice kale salad with an excellent dressing. For our main course, the excellent dishes was the "Fresh Tagliatelle Bolognese with Pecorino Romano". Fresh pasta was andante perfectly with delicious creamy tomato sauce. Another main, Shrimp with Prosciutto, Roasted Tomatoes, Scallions and Smoked bacon over Stone-Ground Grits was also excellent! We'd like to have another dishes on the menue soon!"

  • "Food was done well and was good. The service was slow and not very helpful. Tables were close so that conversations from another energetic party were heard. Not much ambience. It was a busy night but it is not a large place ."
