  • "Read all the reviews before making our reservations but should have skipped this place. We were met at the door by what we were assuming was a customer due to his attire. He was wearing a zip up hoodie and did not appear to be dressed to be of anyone of significance. The restaurant was very tiny. As we sat waiting for our food that by the way was just ok, the hostess stood at the door sucking on a water bottle from the side of his mouth as if he were there again someone just hanging out. He definitely needed someone to explain to him that he is a hostess at what was supposed to be an upscale restaurant not at Denny's. We were completely disappointed all the way around with this choice."

  • "We were seated upstairs at a two top next to the stairs. The front door was broken and cold air was rushing up the stairs the whole time.We eventually were moved with much persistence. Our food was cold and we noticed that they continued to seat three other couples after us in the same table or the one just behind us. Each had the same problem and each had to be moved. I understand that things break, but why continue to make the same mistake over and over. More upsetting is we were not offered anything more then I am sorry for the inconvenience. We did not want a free drink, but what about an invitation back and a little bit of attention."

  • "Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Landmarc Tribeca starting with escargots (a loaded dish with succulent snails cooked in a garlicky white wine sauce and tossed with a few herbed croutons that soaked up the glorious broth) and a classic salad nicoise loaded with anchovies, green beans, and rare sushi grade ahi tuna. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and collegial. The dining room is small, cozy, and beautifully designed with a great vibe. Highly recommended gem."

  • "Interesting menu mainly French with Italian complements Were very helpful on a broad menu to understand the key highlights On a Monday had a specal wine list at great prices to try new wines Pastas were interesting and okay -- but have had much better at other restaurants (a bit overcooked) Would recommend for a casual , neighborhood visit ...but did not impress me as a "foodie" place Good interesting selections --- we did not try the meats or other dishes only appetizer and pasta - so limited experience"

  • "Had birthday dinner here on Sat night with a group of about 14 ppl--we live down the block and it's a reliable neighborhood favorite. Initially not pleased with how we we greeted by one of the employees (appeared to be host or manager)...he reprimanded us for sitting where the other hostess had placed us, though we were more than happy to relocate to where he had planned us to be seated. Not our fault that there was miscommunication between employees! Could have done w/o the attitude. Ended up being a nice dinner and they were patient w us as a group. But not a good way to start the dinner off."

  • "A treat on all fronts. Small and intimate. A grill in the back entices your senses upon arrival. Excellent French and Italian classics but with an emphasis on flavorful produce and clean presentation. Even a wonderful children's menu for kids w developed palates. An unexpected treat. Although lovely and accommodating to the youngest diners, this restaurant feels right for a quaint romantic or relaxing dinner. Would return again and again...."

  • "I have been to this restaurant many times. While the food is consistently good, I cannot say the same for the service. The day we went, the service was particularly bad. It took too long for the waitress to take our order, and she never came back to ask if we needed anything else. It was difficult to get her attention because she didn't spend much time in the dining area. The restaurant is convenient for me and the food is good, so I will be returning, hoping that this experience is not repeated."

  • "This is my 3rd time at Landmarc's Tribeca location. I much prefer the Tribeca location as its a little bit more intimate and slightly less noisy of the two. The food is excellent, full stop. I'm a huge fan of roasted marrow bones and the presentation at Landmarc is quite possibly my favorite anywhere. It's simple (marrow, sea salt, onion marmalade, crusty toast) but it really lets the marrow speak for itself. The profiteroles and the lamb meatballs are also awesome if bone marrow isn't your thing. The pork chops are awesome as are the steaks but don't be afraid to try the pasta specials. I overlooked them my first couple of times to my own detriment. Great food, versatile atmosphere, an all around great choice for a variety of occasions."

  • "For lunch: Food was average, but portions were on the generous side. Service was slow, even though the restaurant was about 1/3 full. When there were breadcrumbs from the breadbasket strewn all over the table from trying to rip apart the yummy thick crusted bread that wasn't cut all the way, nobody bothered to clean that up until after the meal was finished. Noise level was excellent, could have a conversation without straining to hear or speak."

  • "I had dinner with my friends and her 10 year old daughter on a Sunday evening. The place was busy even for a Sunday night. My friend and I both ordered the lamp chops. It was an amazing dinner. Portions are very generous. The restaurant is kid friendly. It has a children's menu and there were other children in the restaurant. Even with all the well behaved kids there, the restaurant is still romantic and would be a great date place. I couldn't have asked for better service. Just a great neighborhood gem in Tribeca."

  • "We arrived with a noon reservation & were the only guests, yet oddly the host seated us directly next to an employee eating at the bar, which had her less than a foot from me. Our server was very pleasant, and we ordered the roasted marrow bones as a starter. We were not disappointed. Unctious, flavorful and served with the most amazing bread (the bread is one of the reasons to go to Landmarc. Exceptional.) We followed with the lamb sandwich for my husband and the eggplant tartine for myself. Both were amazing. They were served with a side salad of fresh greens very lightly dressed with a beautiful fruity olive oil. I would highly recommend Landmarc for it's amazing food and cozy atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back."

  • "We went to Landmarc in Tribeca for an early dinner.. 6pm. Every table on the first floor that was occupied had children. We requested upstairs but was told our "designated" table was the one they gave us. I like kids.. I had 2 tweens with me, but I did not really enjoy the baby crying behind us, or the toddler making a fuss at another table. The 1st floor is rather small. Not sure about the ambiance. My view was the backside of the host. I think they need to build a partition btw the booth and the host stand. frosted glass would suffice. That said... the food is amazingly good. Onion soup, steak, delicious fries, amazing scallops. The desserts were small, but great. They have a great kids menu, if you have kids, go here."

  • "Come in early if you want a booth, really cozy and intimate. Loved the food, I would recommend the mussels in white wine sauce. To live for! The Portobello Burger is really juicy, vegetarian friendly menu. Also plenty of sides to choose from! Service was spectacular, our server was on point with the wine list and descriptions of notes and flavors. Would recommend for big groups and special occasions just be sure to request a booth if that's your preferred seating."

  • "We dinned downstairs as there was a function upstairs. The bar was cool and the service friendly and laid back. The steaks were cooked over a open BBQ and were delicious and cooked as requested.   • "We went to Landmarc as a group of 4 on New Years day. We went at 12 and were able to choose between both the brunch and lunch menu. I had high expectations as this is Marc Murphy's restaurant and we were not disappointed. Waitress was great as was the food. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and nice modern décor. Would definitely go back."

  • "When visiting "brand" restaurants, one is almost invariably disappointed, especially by New Year's Eve pre fixe menus, I guess. The scallop crudo was essentially tasteless with salt being the only "spice"; some acid maybe? The lobster gnocchi were way too spicy. The duck breast was tough and the fat was not rendered. The toffee pudding was only a pudding in the Victorian/Dickensian sense. It was dry and bready. The wine pairings were very good, however. The setting is cozy and intimate, maybe a little too intimate for two couples eating side-by-side in the middle of the room; felt a touch like flying coach. Go after 7 to avoid the kids and demonstrative parenting. Service was good and very friendly. I will go again to sample regular menu."

  • "Looked great, down hill quick. Indifferent hostess seated us at half of 2x2, offered next couple booth next to us, seated another couple in our 2x2 with empties in back-front of us. Never offered to take coats but did for others. Music too loud and off style versus lighting and expected ambience. Next booth for 4 to right rear had 4 adults, 2 toddlers (one testing lungs) and baby screaming 10 minutes, then breast fed at table. 4 top to left, toddler rolling on floor, then fed from Mom at table. Could barely carry on conversation with my wife. Other than that the food was OUTSTANDING. The Saturday Pasta special amazing, best Bolognese I may have ever had. Ricotta friiter was execellent. Looking for romantic, but got Applebees. No Return."

  • "People are packed tightly, we were literally seated 3 inches away from the table next to us. It was pretty loud, small and busy with staff and delivery guys running in and out through the dinning area. Food was good but not great, it took me 10 minutes to remember what it is that I had let alone what my fiancee had. Probably wont return, just wasn't my kind of dinning experience."
