Diner Reviews
  • "Nice cocktails and wine, excellent food. Home made sorbet and ice cream are delicious All of us enjoyed the dinner."

  • "Six of us went to L'Andana to celebrate our anniversaries. The food was excellent. The service was very good but not excellent. This is a fairly expensive restaurant with entrees mostly in the mid 30 to high 40 range. The wait staff should be a little more attentive and able to anticipate what is needed. For example, one of the couples shared a salad and the waiter never brought an extra plate for them to use . On the plus side, the restaurant brought over complimentary desserts for the 6 of us and the plate said "happy anniversary". That was a very nice surprise and ending to the dining experience. We will probably go back for another special occasion."

  • "What a wonderful dining experience. No need to say anything else.Price is what you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber."

  • "Great service, excellent food! We had the swordfish and chicken Milanese, both terrific. The side of pasta is delicious and enough for two."

  • "The food, service, ambiance were the best I have experienced in a restaurant in a long time."

  • "One of my favorite local restaurants for sure. I have yet to have anything but an amazing experience there! The service and food are always top notch!"

  • "This was our first time at L'Andana. I've heard wonderful reviews from my friends. So here's mine. The restaurant is really nice, beautiful. The service was great. The food that we ordered was good, I was expecting it to be great! I think what we ordered which came highly recommend by staff as well as a few patrons we were talking to, were just plain entrees. I would definitely go back and try something else!"

  • "There was no accommodation whatsoever made for two vegetarians accompanying two meat eaters. I specifically told the waiter that we were vegetarians and asked what they could do for us. He pointed us to the "side dishes" and suggested a few. He mentioned that one (heirloom tomato risotto) was 'hearty'. When we ordered it, he asked "for a side or entree?" and we replied "entiree". What came was less than a side portion. It barely covered the bottom of a small soup bowl Barely covered it! And it cost $14! When we commented on how we thought we would be getting a bit more food, he said only "oh, that's my fault." No accommodation was made or effort to ensure that vegetarians were fed. How expensive are vegetables? I'm completely disappointed."

  • "We chose L'Andana because it was half way between us and our friends from New Hampshire and because we've always enjoyed it. The food was wonderful and the service attentive. We sat outside which I might not do again - it got buggy and there was noise from the road but overall, it was a great night."

  • "I had been meaning to get L'Andana for quite some time after hearing nothing but rave reviews. I finally made it there and boy do I wish I had gone earlier. Everything was fantastic. The wait staff were incredibly professional and patient as we took our time drinking and eating over a 2 1/2 hour period. We never felt rushed or that we were overstaying our welcome. As a matter of fact, the longer we stayed, the more at home the wait staff made us feel. As for the food, it was great. I started off with the pasta bolognese appetizer which was simply out of this world. I moved on to a great bone-in-ribeye steak which was among the best I have ever tasted. The desserts that we had (the mousse and the peach/blackberry crisp were amazing."

  • "We selected L'Andana for an outdoor dinner with friends because it was highlighted in a recent Open Table emailed list of outdoor restaurants. Sadly L'Andana's "outdoor" dining is five tables on a narrow patio overlooking their parking lot. The restaurant is in the middle of an industrial area. While the food was good and the service lovely, the ambiance was absolutely not what we expected. The restaurant has done their best to make the views better by using potted plants and bright, oversized umbrellas, but there is still no doubt you are overlooking a parking lot. Not at all what we expected."

  • "Very pleased with all aspects of our dinner on Friday evening. L'Andana is now my wife's new favorite restaurant! We regret we have only now discovered you."

  • "Although it took forever to get our food after the appetizer, it was delicious when it came. I wouldn't let that stop you from going, just be watchful of your food service."

  • "The food was amazing! Our table had the ceasar salad and the arrugala salad both big enough to share, and very yummy. We also had the pasta bolognese as a starter, which was the best I've ever tasted! For the main course we had sirloin, filet, and swordfish all were fantastic. The truffle fries were to die for! The service was impeccable from beginning to end! Overall the prices seemed a little on high side, but with the service and quality of the food it was well worth it!!!! We will definitely be going back!"

  • "Been here half a dozen times, and it never disappoints. The menu is strong enough for all tastes, even vegetarian, but their strength is in steaks and chops. The desert donuts are out of this world. Just go."

  • "Brought my girlfriend here for her 30th birthday food was amazing and the staff was fun and attentive. They overheard that it was her birthday and even wrote "Happy Birthday" on her dessert place in chocolate sauce without even asking. Great drink list too. Highly recommended."

  • "My husband & I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here last Thurs. The whole staff made us feel extra special. Our server, Brenda, was as sweet as can be. We've been looking forward to coming here for awhile as this is my favorite "special occasion" restaurant. Everything is always consistently awesome on every level, from the staff to cuisines to overall atmosphere. I highly recommend coming here, and you'll never leave disappointed. However you will leave with a smile on your face and a satisfied belly!"

  • "This was the first time we went to L'Andana and it was wonderful. From the minute we pulled into the parking lot and were greeted by the valet, we were impressed with how we were treated. The service was great and the food was excellent and we will be going back and have been telling our friends how good it was. Try the Po Martini - it is amazing!!"

  • "Food is ok, but definitely an expense account type of place. Service was decent, and food was OK, but generally uninspired. Prices were 25 to 40% overpriced for the quality and atmosphere. Many other better restaurants in the area."

  • "We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at L'andana. Although we had reservations, when we arrived we decided to sit at the bar. We enjoyed our drinks and an appetizer, the cheese fondue. It was excellent but very filling so we only had some of it. I ordered the prime rib and it was outstanding. My husband had the pasta/lobster dish and it was wonderful. The bartender was very attentive and even gave us a surprise dessert for our anniversary!"

  • "One of the surest bets in suburbs of Boston. Food almost as good as Mistral in Boston, same owner, one of our favorites."

  • "We were looking for a restaurant halfway between us and friends on the North Shore (Burlington) to meet for dinner and found L'Andana on Trip Advisor. The reviews did not exaggerate just how special it was. Great, original Italian food and wonderful steak options. Everyone in our party was thrilled with their choices. All the courses had wonderful presentations. We can't wait to return!!!"

  • "Food was fantastic! We had oysters for appetizers, and filets, Cornish hen, and prime rib for our dinners. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The service (James was our waiter) was incredible. Very professional and attentive. Ambiance is great as well. One of my favorite places."

  • "We loved our food and server. Both couples had gift cards to use. We never leave a restaraunt until we are sure the cards go through. One of ours did not. The waitress was lovely about it. After about five minutes, the manager came over, apologized and thanked us. He told us it would be taken care of so we left. They could not have been nicer and it was a generous gift card. We would go again just for that reason! The food was delicious."

  • "Met the girls for dinner. Check in w/ the hostess, was told the table would be ready in a minute. Saw my friend waiting in the bar area. Table was ready but our third person hadn't arrived. Sat in bar area for 20 mins--- servers everywhere-no on approaches and offered a drink-- so annoying. Had to askhostess for a cocktail. Now we need to pay and sit and no one comes over again. Finally walked it over to someone at the bar. We get seated and again have to wait a good ten minutes to even have a server approach the table. Asked to split a salad w/ my friend- was handed bread plates for us to split. The service was so not what I have been used to in this restaurant. So dissapointed."

  • "I would highly recommend L'Andana to anyone looking for great food, great service and great atmosphere. Although a little pricey, this is the perfect spot for a special occasion. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and they took very good care of us. The team of servers made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing and the pace was good...not too fast, not too slow. I had mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday and when they brought dessert, they had a candle in one of the raspberries on the plate and had Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Would definitely go back!"

  • "The superb food, ambiance, wine list and service enables L'Andana (which is run by the owners of Mistral in the South End) to continue to be the best Restaurant in the Burlington area."

  • "We dined with another couple, and sat on the patio on a lovely June evening. Great food, service and terrific experience! Especially loved the corn and lobster soup and hanger steak and truffle fries."

  • "After taking 10 friends to dinner two months ago, my wife and I dined at L'Andana this weekend with another couple. The food and service were just as outstanding as our previous visit. Food was prepared perfectly and elegantly presented. The extensive wine list gave us far more options than needed and the desserts and post-dinner drinks were a great way to end a fun and enjoyable evening. Our server (James) was very helpful in discussing menu items and was attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant's GM (Hoshang Dadrass) visited our table to welcome us back and to ensure that we were being taken care of. Service and attention like this from the waitstaff and management, in addition to great food, cannot be beat."

  • "The menu is diverse and consistently excellent. The steaks are suberb. The service can't be beat - attentive but not obtrusive."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "We chose L'Andana to celebrate two birthdays, a wedding anniversary, and a college graduation. The food and service were excellent although the waitress made the mistake of allowing one of us (me) to order a rib eye steak very, very rare (that cut of beef is too thin to be compatible with very rare preparations). The restaurant charges high prices - but the service and quality of food preparation make it a very reasonable value."

  • "L'andana is a great choice for a special occasion. Not particularly romantic except the table tucked into the wine wall at back- A bit pricey but great for foodies."

  • "One of the best meals I've had in quite some time. We started with the carpaccio and the four cheese fonduta, they were both incredible. The carpaccio was light but flavorful with a wonderful truffle sauce. The fonduta was incredibly rich, and the portion was huge for an appetizer - make sure you have someone to share with! I had the lobster conchiglioni for my entree - this was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The homemade pasta was incredible, and the butter sauce was simple but incredibly rich. The lobster itself was great quality and perfectly prepared, and the portion was generous. Other diners had the rigatoni bolognese, the ribeye, and a pork chop special, and everything received rave reviews. Highly recommended!"
