A word from L'Amore
L'Amore Restaurant is a family owned and operated neighborhood Italian restaurant located in the heart of Phoenix. We offer fine dining with a family atmosphere. We personally operate the restaurant being there to meet and greet each guest as if they were entering our own home. Here's a secret - we
are told we have the best Cioppino in town.
Enjoy the formal dining room, the friendly bar with great, live, soft music from our musician Jimmy who plays on Thursday - Saturday night, or sit in our beautiful tree-lined patio over-looking the Phoenix Mountain Preserves. We're happy to serve your every need. If you're on your way home, call us for a take-out dinner, or if you're thinking of a holiday party, set up an appointment to speak to us about our catering.

This is the second time I have
enjoyed dinner at this exceptional restaurant. Last year when I came to Phoenix for Spring Training I brought some friends and family here and had a wonderful evening. This year we had a smaller group and once again the owner Greg met us at the door and ensured we had a nice table. Everyone enjoyed their dinners which featured several seafood dishes that were fresh and filled with flavor. A wonderful dessert accompanied by a perfect espresso added the finishing touch. I didn't get to say goodbye before we left but you can count on seeing us next year Greg."

We had a great dining experience
at L'Amour. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. The special of the day, ravioli with Italian sausage was delicious. The pasta was made in house and very light and flavorful. Maybe just a little too much sauce, but very good. Three of our party are very carb conscious and they were very kind about substituting the pasta for steamed spinach. The Sea Bass and crab special was perfectly cooked, moist and light. Quiet neighborhood restaurant that is perfect for a delicious dinner out with great service and reasonable prices."

We were in town and wanted to get
away from the resort-type restaurant. This was a great place! There were 8 in our group & we had no problem making a reservation. We were promptly seated and service was wonderful. One of our party had an unusual allergy to a food group so they offered to make a special dish not on the menu to accommodate her. The shopping center is undergoing a face-lift so the lack of signs made the restaurant a bit hard to find but I'm so glad we did! I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area."

I've been to L'Amore a few times
and most recently was my Valentines date with my boyfriend. The service was very good expect a table wasn't ready immediately when we arrived despite the fact that we had a reservation. We didn't have to wait for long and just had a drink at the bar. A few different tables cleared out at the same time but a different couple that walked in got first pick on the tables even though we had been waiting. This was a little disappointing. We ended up with a table right next to the musician who has been playing there a few nights a week for fourteen years. Even though we were right next to him, it wasn't too loud and very pleasant. He took requests and it was a fun time."

All good. Food well prepared, hot
and tasty. Wine good Ruta 22, Argentinian Malbec, 26 dollars per bottle. We enjoyed a lot, recommend to anyyone. A bit pricy, cost for two for Dinner, wine, desert, double expresso approx. 135. dollars for two, well worth the price. Excellent patio."

The service was very good, but the
food was outstanding. The mussels appetizer was as good as it gets. They were decent sized and incredibly fresh, and the sauce was terrific. The cioppino was filled with fresh savory seafood and we were offered the opportunity to "spice it up". Fra Diavolo at it's finest! We've driven by the restaurant for years, but only tried it the first time around the Christmas holidays. It was a bit swamped that time, but our second visit this past weekend was much more reasonable. Filled, but not overflowing. Great Italian restaurant! We'll definitely add it to our list of favorites."

My fiancé and I went here for a
Valentine’s Day dinner, thinking the evening was going to be pleasant with great food. But the service was bad from the owners to the waitress. They did not stop by our table to ask how our food was or do we need refills for our drinks. We were new there and were treated with disrespect unless you are a senior citizen or well-to-do. They also did that to two other young couples that were there. I do not recommend this place to anyone. We plan not to go back there."
Dined on 2/14/2014
Excellent food and service, we had
a memorable evening at L'Amore and will definitely return. We had the cioppino and the sea bass, both were wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant ... if it's your visit, try the cioppino, it's truly outstanding!"

Great Ambience, food was
excellent, staff was very attentive."
Dined on 2/14/2014
This is our regular go -to spot
for those special occasions. Our 8 year old absolutely loves coming here, and the staff and owners are very kind and welcoming. The food is excellent. Best Cioppino around!! One of our favorite places to eat."
Dined on 2/14/2014
Great looking restaurant that
delivers great food at very fair prices. Not to be missed!"

We used to go to L'Amore often,
but then got out of the habit to try some new restaurants. It's good to be home again. L'Amore never disappoints. The food is always so fresh and delicious and the staff so friendly and accommodating. You can see they have a lot of regular customers because Greg, the Manager, greets everyone personally. They have live music, but it's not loud so you can still carry on a nice dinner conversation without shouting. Tonight we had the special Sea Bass and the Cioppino - both excellent. We highly recommend this great neighborhood spot."

We went here for Valentine's Day
and it was about a 30 minute drive from Tempe, but totally worth it! Amazing chicken parmesan and fettuccine alfredo a great atmosphere!"

i get to the Phoenix area 2-3
times a year and always look forward to a visit to L'Amore. Never been dissappointed."

Everything we ordered was
absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the seafood salad, calamari,,mussels. In the past I have had delicious pastas. Staff was outstanding.Darren was our very attentive server. This place is a Gem. All around perfect service. I had a friend in from California who was there for the first time and she was really impressed and said she would definitely return, when in town."
Dined on 2/4/2014
We stopped for lunch based on a
friend's recommendation. Our server Cliff provided great service and the owner Greg stopped by to greet us. They provided guidance on our dining choices. Every dish we had was delicious...the split pea soup, the grilled salmon, the short rib and the lemon desert. A definite return to!"

We were visiting the area from New
York and found L'Amore on opentable. It is owned by a husband and wife, who both doted on us and on all of the guests. The waiters were terrific. There was soft live music playing in the part of the restaurant we chose to sit in. The food was wonderful. I strongly recommend this restaurant."
Dined on 1/25/2014
the food was very mediocre, and
compared to other restaurants not worth the prices. pretty much overpriced ($4.00 to split a salad)...unacceptable. the staff were very nice and attentive, but we won't be going back."
Dined on 1/25/2014
L'Amore is a wonderful
neighborhood restaurant, and a pleasure to visit ! The staff is excellent, and food is exceptional. Always something good on the specials list, but the standards are great, especially the comfort food. We'll return , and would highly recommend to anyone who has not yet visited!"
Dined on 1/25/2014
Food: beef carpaccio that was
actually frozen, good caesar salad, veal marsala w/ gluey sauce--chicken piccata too salty, also sauce a bit gluey. Food only warm on plates, pasta on those plates almost cold Dessert unremarkable. Excellent hot coffee. Service: too attentive, waiter kept interrupting us to see if everything was good, did we want anything etc. Very friendly host, runners and waiter--just a little too much. Atmosphere: very nice, quiet dark, nice furnishings--but not enough to make up for food."
Dined on 1/21/2014
I would strongly recommend that
you visit this restaurant, if you're looking for great food in a nice, intimate setting. Very cozy yet classy atmosphere, with table linens and decor. Live soft music in the bar area added a nice touch. Restaurant owner and staff were fantastic and really sincere in their customers enjoying their visit. Don't let the strip mall location fool you. You walk into a totally different atmosphere of great food and people."
Dined on 1/16/2014
Two of us had the Filet Mignon,
which was wonderful, and the other person ordered the chicken parmesan, which he said was also wonderful. They ran out of the mashed potatoes but offered a choice of pastas instead. I found the house salad a little awkward because the spinach leaves were so giant and had big stems. Our server was really busy, so we had to call out to him a couple of times to get his attention. We loved the lemon cake at the end of the meal."
Dined on 1/15/2014
It is always nice to return to
L'Amore; it also participates in United Mileage Plus Dining Rewards program. The Cioppino was great. As a reminder again, the house salad that accompanies the entree needs to be served chilled. I had to pay extra for a small caesar salad, but it was more tasty and served well chilled. Server Cliff was attentive."

Appetizers just ok.......like most
other restaurants. Entree nothing special. Would not return."

We came from out of town, had
never been here before, and had a lovely New Years Eve--great food, service, and ambiance. We noted that the average crowd age was over 65, and this is clearly a local gem for many people."
Dined on 12/31/2013
From the owners, staff, service
and food, this restaurant always provides a great experience. We eat there regularly because of the high level of satisfaction"

L'Amore is a lovely spot to enjoy
a terrific meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. All the classic Italian dishes are there and a nice wine list to match. We will be return customers."
Dined on 12/26/2013
We received a warm and friendly
greeting at the door by the owner's and were made to feel as though we were right at home. Our waiter (Victor) was friendly, informative and attentive; without being overbearing. The food was delicious and the portion size was very generous for the price. We are new to the Phoenix area and my wife was concerned that we wouldn't find a "real" Italian restaurant locally. We did in L' Amore and we will definitely be back!!!"
Dined on 12/23/2013
Our Open Table reservation noted
that we wanted expedited service because we were going to a concert. We received very prompt and attentive service. Our repeated suggestion is for the house salad greens to be served crispy and well chilled."
Dined on 12/20/2013
It has been years since I have
been here. It kind of fell off the radar and I have no idea why. The service was great. I love the family atmosphere here. The food was incredible - and then the prices were 30% less than I would expect for that quality of food. Seriously - this place will never fall off the radar again."

My husband and I love L'Amore!
We've dined there several times - just the two of us, with friends, and once with our large, extended Thanksgiving "family" (not for Thanksgiving dinner but the day after). We enjoy it more each time. The food and service are excellent, as is the ambiance - love the background music & live entertainment. Our " go-to" restaurant when meeting friends or just looking for an enjoyable dining experience."
Dined on 11/8/2013
From the moment we arrived to our
goodbyes the dining experience at L'Amore was one of the best ever. The ambiance is to one's liking - subtle lighting and the space is not too big, not too small. Just the perfect size for a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Greg's knowledge of wine is excellent and their desire for their customers to have a perfect dining experience is unexcelled!"
Dined on 10/19/2013
It was a great experience, the
veal Marsala was superb. We started with the carpaccio and shared a salad, the wine was excellent although we preferred Argentinian Malbecs. The music was good and not intrusive. We are coming back"

I have driven by this restaurant
many times and was always curious as to the entire operation. There are several excellent Italian tables in the area. The facility was straight out of the 80's and the diners appeared to be enjoying themselves. It just was not our cup of tea. I had spaghetti and one large meatball and my wife had California Halibut. Both were just OK. We will not be dining here again. They seem to have a niche population of diners and I am happy for them"

Wonderful spot! Been many times
and will be back again."

After snide remarks about my
sicilian heritage and city i grew up in ( had t shirt showing NYC) , I was treated to , what to this point in my 58 years , the worst gnocchi I ever had. My friend had a shrimp dish containing all of 2 shrimps. We are all entitled to off nights , however , the food was really poor"

We always enjoy listening to
Jimmy, the bar musician. He adds a nice touch to dining!"
Dined on 5/4/2013
The dining room is a visual gem.
The bar room is very nice; a little noisy on the evenings they have entertainment. We just love the entire menu and trying one of the evening specials would be highly suggested. When we are leaving I am already planning when we will be dining at L'Amore again."
Dined on 4/29/2013
A family run business with a
friendly feel and excellent service. I would describe the menu as Italian comfort food - which was exactly what we were looking for when we went there."
