  • "I always enjoy lamberts. Thier food is SOOOO delicious. The only thing is that i put that it was my first anniversary on the open table reservation request, but they didnt do anything special..."

  • "Slightly pricey but appropriately priced - quality fare - check menu before going - I had the brisket sandwich but gotta go back at least a few times to try other offerings that caught my eye. Highly recommended!!!"

  • "So me and three friends heard about Lambert's and we decided to have dinner. We all had various appetizers and our main entrees. I had the short rib for dinner. The presentation was beautiful since it was a whole short rib with the bone. The food was good. Everything went so well till the very end. I did not finish my short rib and I asked the waitress to hand me a to go box. She took my plate and she decided to bag it for me. When she brought my to go box, I discovered the bone was removed. I know I being picky, but it would be nice if our waitress asked me if I wanted to keep the bone. Our waitress advised they can't bag our bones because it is to big. My overall experience turned out from excellent to disappointing."

  • "Fantastic brunch -- reasonably priced. Excellent menu and Great Service....what more could you ask for. On Sundays enter the city Hall parking garage from Colorado street -- free parking and right across the street from Lamberts."

  • "Good barbecue place. And they take reservations! A fine place to dine in downtown austin."

  • "Loved our dinner, especially the apple and celery salad with poppy seed dressing."

  • "Very nice spot for upscale BBQ. It's really great to find a BBQ spot with mussels and southern pulled pork on the menu and so well done."

  • "We had a friend recommend Lambert's as upscale BBQ in Texas. We are quite foodies so were excited for great food and matching atmosphere. The service was great - our waiter was attentive, cortious, and helpful. However, our meal was delivered about 5 minutes after we ordered. Then we just felt rushed. Rushed to free the table, rushed to clear out before the music, and rushed to make decisions (drinks, entrées and desserts - without menus at times!). It was good food. I had an enormous filet of trout that was cooked perfectly and delicious quinoia. My fiancé had the half chicken and was pleased with the proper cooking of the bird, but was underwhelmed by the seasoning. We enjoyed the corn and broccoli sides. Overall, wouldn't return."

  • "Every time I travel to Austin I have to eat at Lambert's at least once. No matter what you order - make sure to get a jalapeno sausage on the side - amazing! I brought two business colleagues with me that had never been - both loved it."

  • "We were late for our reservations... And were still accommodated with no fusss. The food was very flavorful and good potions... And the margaritas were very good."

  • "I came to Texas maybe once in a lifetime, but I came to this place twice. First time: brunch with brisket and farm chicken. Briskets are fabulous. Second time: Boar ribs. Can't resist the temptation of a little bit spicy and a little bit creamy and a little bit cheesy :) Great experience sitting at the bar talking to the bartender."

  • "Great selection of brunch dishes. The breakfast hash was delicious and the Bloody Mary hit the spot."
    Dined on 7/13/2014
  • "I got the brunch version of the Frito pie. Ugh it was amazing. It set me free. Lambert's has found the perfect balance between fancy Austin and down-to-earth Texas food. I'll be back for sure."

  • "True foodies from Norway, we heard about Lamberts on the Keep Austin Weird episode of Bizarre Foods America, and knew we had to go there for our one night in Austin. And, man, we weren't disappointed. T had the Country Style Pork Ribs and M had the Natural Black Angus Filet, with it we had the Carrot, & Cilantro Slaw and the Fried Okra with Spicy Remoulade. The ribs were good, and the hot sauces was brilliant. The filet was the best we've ever had - you could eat it with a spoon, it was THAT tender. The priciest thing on the menu, but well worth it. The fried okra was crunchy with a perfect, soft center. The slaw was good, diffrent - but drowned compared to the other plates. We were taken good care of all night, and felt really at home."

  • "I would not recommend Lamberts because there are other BBQ places which are much better than Lamberts. I had the 2 meats plate (chicken and ribs) and I did not find either to be exceptional."

  • "Boar ribs were definitely a high point... A must try! Cocktails are creative and tasty!"

  • "I think hype sustains Lambert's popularity. The food is good but not extraordinary. I took an out-of-town friend there for a weekday lunch and enjoyed ourselves, but it certainly wasn't memorable."

  • "We arrived 39 minutes before our reservation but were immediately seated. We asked to sit upstairs so we could enjoy the live music. Our waitress was fast and attentive, checking on us often. A great experience overall, no negatives to report. A standout was the "local rabbit" soup - really tasty with lots of herbs."

  • "Delightful dinner here on 6/24 with a 6pm dinner reservation. We sat outside in the shaded patio area which also had water misters. The bib salad and mac and cheese was my dinner. My husband went for the baby back ribs and fried okra. The service was great the food fantastic. I like the little corn bread muffins to start with. This place was highly recommended by several people and it did not disappoint."

  • "Very impressed with the menu, food, and service! If I had to classify Lambert's I'd call it "upscale BBQ". Terrific food, highly recommend the oyster appetizer, brisket, and jalapeño sausage, you won't be disappointed."

  • "We had a business lunch with our bank and title company and overseas investors and it was a perfect spot to entertain. Great round corner table, excellent menu and lovely hostess. Food was quick and tasty and was the perfect business lunch venue."

  • "The service was excellant the food was really good but it isn't just a BBQ restaurant as we were led to believe by our hotel. It was a bit loud so not for those who are into a quiet atmosphere."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "We had the two steaks on the menu and they were both cooked differently but delicious."

  • "First time visit to Lamberts. Our daughter who lives in Austin gave us a gift card. We really enjoyed the food, service was very good, our waiter attentive. Enjoyed the visit and would go back again."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "We've eaten at Lamberts on several occasions and each time found the noise level to be so loud we could not hear each other or the server. They do not need to play music in a building that already has poor acoustics. It's unfortunate as we most likely will stay away. The noise level really distracted from our experience."

  • "We love Lambert's and always stop in whenever we are in Austin. With its great food, vibrant atmosphere and engaging service, nothing says welcome to Austin like Lambert's. "

  • "We are from out of town and attempted to eat here around 8:45 on Saturday night. Upon walking in and seeing 5 open tables (including a booth) we tried to put our name on the list and were told it would be an hour to 1.5 hour wait for 3 people. We asked why since the list only had a couple of names on it already and we were told "you should've made a reservation, I mean, this IS Lambert's." She may not realize she is the first impression people get and should be less snobby. We left and made a reservation for the next day as instructed. Our waiter was great and polite. The brisket was fatty but the macaroni was pretty good. Overall, we paid $94 for 3 plates, 3 tea's and 3 ice cream desserts. Overall, we weren't impressed :("

  • "I had been looking forward to dining at Lambert's for some time now. Everytime I was in town they were booked. Finally got a reservation and took my 79 year old mother out for a treat. Food was good - but not as good as I remembered from my previous visit. We were told that our only choice for a table (at 6:00 pm) was up front near the stairs. The noise level from the second floor made it impossible to have a conversation. Probably won't return."

  • "My husband makes a MEAN brisket but the one at Lambert's surpasses it! This is a GREAT place to eat and I'm a native Texan. Great service and DELICIOUS food - many different EXCELLENT options. HIGHLY recommend this place."

  • "Overpriced with way too much noise. They seem to try to rush you along so they can get more people in to make more money. The food was generally good but not worth the cost. They miss served caffeine and non caffeine coffees. They messed up flavors in ice cream dessert. You can go to Rudy 4 times for same cost and get good bisket."

  • "Lambert's brisket was very good with a nice flavorful crust. I didn't care for the jalapeno hot link. It was too mushy and the flavor combination of the spices didn't fit very well. Sausages in bbq restaraunts should be more firm with a bit of crunch on outside and tender juicy inside. As you can tell I like sausage. I had the mac and cheese and collard greens on the side. The mac and cheese was like liquid gold heaven. Absolutely delicious! The collard greens were good too. I would go back to Lamberts not for their meats but definitely for their side dishes."

  • "Special occasion brunch matched by such great good. We had the Breakfast Frito Pie, Wagyu Cheeseburger, and some Macaroni and Cheese and Waffle Fries to share. Everything was delicious!"

  • "I really liked the atmosphere - nice location, patio outside and brick building and was excited to try BBQ in Texas. From the menu we ordered Country style pork ribs (which were undercooked), pulled pork, short ribs (which were almost burnt in a very hot sauce), fish and ribeye (we were told this was the best item on the menu, but the steak was too fatty and covered with too strong of a sauce). Overall, nothing was good enough that we would come back and order it again. I think our server didn't like that we asked questions about the menu (like what items on the menu is your restaurant know for). Overall our server was impatient and rude. I really wanted to like it here."

  • "I had been hearing great things about Lambert's and while visiting Austin we really wanted to try it. The Brooklyn Cocktail was fantastic but that was as good as it got. The soup, although tasty was not hot when it arrived and neither were the brisket and ranch beans. The brisket was dry and not tender. I have had so much better brisket in this town for significantly less money. The ranch beans, along with being cold were underdone and lacking flavor. I would not recommend this place unless you just want cocktails then I say go for it. "
