  • "great service and great for brunch. Breakfast frito pie was very good"

  • "I had been hearing great things about Lambert's and while visiting Austin we really wanted to try it. The Brooklyn Cocktail was fantastic but that was as good as it got. The soup, although tasty was not hot when it arrived and neither were the brisket and ranch beans. The brisket was dry and not tender. I have had so much better brisket in this town for significantly less money. The ranch beans, along with being cold were underdone and lacking flavor. I would not recommend this place unless you just want cocktails then I say go for it. "

  • "Best ribs and pulled pork! Everything was delicious. This is why we came to Texas. For the BBQ."

  • "Be glad you ate at Lamberts! I consider it is a must-stop when we are in Austin. Excellent food and service always.with a very lively vibe. It's a special place you shouldn't miss eating at."

  • "I entertain inter company guests on frequent occasions. Being in Texas, many of my guests are looking for and expecting some type of barbeque restaurant, drinks, and good atmosphere. Since many of my guests are from the northern states, they typically like to sit outside since we generally have great weather. Lambert's hits on all these marks. Great food, drinks, outdoor patio area right off the street, and close by after dinner locations in downtown make this a favorite "Go-To-Spot" for me."

  • "food is fantastic. banana pudding one of the best desserts i have ever had. staff is very friendly and attentive. Lamberts is a true gem."

  • "I came for lunch with a group from work. The food was just OK. I had the chicken with mac and cheese and coleslaw. It was nothing to get excited about, but not bad. The boudin fritters were really, good, though. This was my second visit here and it I wasn't impressed either time."

  • "The food was excellent. We had brisket and it was tender and tasty. My guest from Ohio was extremely pleased with the whole experience. That was what I shooting for. We had never been here before. Our son in law recommended it. Shucks, he was right for once. I WAS surprised they did not carry a Merlot."

  • "This is the 3rd time I've been to Lambert's and based on my experience I'm not coming back. I had lunch with an out of town friend & from the get-go this place was a like a very loud party. The table next to ours had toddlers and they were wailing the entire time & manager and waitstaff did nothing to control them. Bcuz the kids were so loud everyone else was speaking loudly to compensate & I could barely hear my friends conversation. Lambert's isn't supposed to be a McDonalds. I would have forgiven the noise if the brisket wasn't so mediocre; it was overcooked and flavorless and added nothing to my sandwich or my friends 3 meat plate. Frankly, I was embarrassed I brought my friend here to have some good Texas BBQ. I won't be back."

  • "of finding a parking space (one member took over 30 minutes to find a space), and dealing with the noise level. I rated the noise level as energetic; in fact it was loud! Great BBQ and service!!!"

  • "Delicious crispy wild boar ribs! Could have had two orders and been happy. Three meat platter was great, clean flavored that allowed you to really taste the meats. The jalapeño hot link was very good as were all the sides. Mac and cheese steaming hot and crusty cheese topping, jicama and carrot slaw and potato salad all yummy. Was very excited to have a Stolpman Syrah! Made it delicious!"

  • "I'm a former Austinite, and love getting back to see friends and explore the restaurants. Austin is full of wonderful options for casual dining, but I must say that the Saturday brunch we had at Lambert's was the best meal of the week. I had the Brisket Hash and my wife had the Lambert's Eggs Benedict, and both were so good we didn't want the meal to end. I almost ordered another round of the brisket hash."

  • "First time in Austin. Amazed on the quality of the food. Really good presentation of the plates. It could stay open more late"

  • "I was treated really well even though I was dining alone. Enjoyed the food; I would eat here again."

  • "I felt that this experience fell short of the high expectations I had. I mean I've had better BBQ at many other places and paid half as much. Ok I get it, there's ambiance, there's music... Doesn't add up for me. Give me a food trailer, or an old BBQ joint over this any day. Quick overview of the food: Beef short rib, decent flavor, tender meat. Grilled ribeye, brown sugar topping was overwhelming. Brussels sprouts, tasty but a little undercooked. Mac and cheese had a great consistency, but the flavor didn't do it for me."

  • "The food here is awesome! When I come to Austin for SXSW I always have a dinner or two at Lambert's! Go earlier in the evening if you don't want the upstairs bar band to drown out your conversation."

  • "We were lucky enough to sit at one of the main booths on the first floor. We came for brunch to celebrate a birthday party. The only downside was that the place is very lively and was a bit loud. I ordered the green chili cheese grits and they were the best grits I've ever had. The cinnamon roll is fantastic as well - can be shared! Our lattes were cold and the service was okay, but overall the experience would great and I would return."

  • "We were looking forward to brunch at Lambert's and we enjoyed our meals very much .The food was excellent and the staff, including the hostess, waiter, and support staff were friendly and attentive.Would highly recommend the desserts ,especially the banana pudding. Food was freshly prepared and presented beautifully."

  • "Not the typical ribs and brisket place, this kitchen provides a more upscale food experience. They make their own (fabulous) ice cream. the meats are well flavored and not fatty, even the side dishes are given special care. The noise level is a bit over the top but so is the food, so it balances out nicely."

  • "I live in Portland, Oregon, great city with great food but with no doubt the friendliness, outstanding service and outstanding food that Lambert's provided to me and my fiancee is very much missed in Portland. Vibrant classy restaurant with exceptional service and menu. The moment we go back to Austin, Lambert's will be our first stop for years to come. congrats! Michelle Rossington"

  • "Great Austin earthy atmosphere and menus. Great bartender and service. Food was terrific, can get barbecue or non-smoked grass fed beef. Some unique food preparations. Everything I had was great however the maple glazed ribeye, to my personal taste, not the best combo although the beef quality was outstanding. Beef and sweet maple flavors seemed to fight each other. Would definitly go back with friends to give them a taste of Austin."

  • "One of our first places to visit when we moved to Austin. We love it!! Delicious food whether going for lunch, brunch, or a late dinner. This place rocks!"

  • "Walked in, our reservations were ready, the service was very accommodating (while we waited for a single late person to our property) and the boar ribs were outstanding."

  • "This place was buzzing when we arrived and looked like a favourite spot for those going to events at Austin City Limits a block away. The service was attentive, friendly and we lacked for nothing requested. The baked oysters and Black Angus Short Ribs were to die for. The wine list was a little pricey but with a good selection. The noise level was more than energetic, it was loud enough that we didn't stay for dessert."

  • "We were from out of town and booked a reaervation here a few weeks ahead of time (so lucky since the place was packed). Loved the food and he atmosphere (live music upstairs). My only complaint was we felt a little bit rushed with our food. Otherwise awesome experience."

  • "Each time we go it's a nice surprise. I'd never heard of a salpicon salad and it's now my favorite lunch in Austin. This time we discovered a half off bar menu of delicious variety until 7pm and a peanut butter and chocolate cake dessert special that was so much better than the word 'cake' suggests."

  • "A friend and I went for Sunday brunch and were impressed! We sat by the kitchen and had great service, AWESOME food (Frito Pie and Brisket Hash) and the upstairs is so cool."

  • "This was the only place Spoiled Son would consider for his family birthday celebration. The whole experience was happy and festive and toothsome - from the Moscow Mule cocktails to the yummy flatbread, trout and ribs - stellar. Just wish parking was easier - my heels were NOT made or walking far."

  • "Alena is the best! She is always enthusiastic and knowledgeable, really one of the best servers in all of Austin's downtown restaurant scene."

  • "I had made a reservation for dinner before heading to ACL Moody Theater for a show. Left home extra early to account for traffic through downtown. However, closed lanes, accidents, etc. made for an extra-long trip. Luckily I had called to let them know that we were coming but were held up in traffic. Jennifer was very nice over the phone and told us to be careful and get there when we could. We arrived an hour after our reservation, but they had held the table and we had a wonderful dinner before our show. Thank you to Lambert's as this was part of my husband's birthday present from me."

  • "Lambert's has a diverse menu to suit many tastes. The veal rib chop was outstanding, and the brussels sprouts excellent. The brisket was flavorful but a tad dry for me. The charcuterie plate is a great adventure. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the wait staff attentive and helpful. Someday, I'll have room for dessert!"
