"Went for Saturday evening buffet on March 31, 2012. This was our second visit, loved our visit last December and couldn't wait to return. Lakeview is under renovation, no lake view currently. Very limited selection, the pasta station was good but the asian side with fried rice and stir fry veges were cold and not very flavorful. The total selection compared to December was about 1/3, but the price was still $29.99 per person. Not currently worth the price."

"Nothing outstanding to say. It is quite obvious that the hotel is having difficulty supporting its restaurants. The last time we were at the hotel there were 4 restaurants."

"We had wonderful service and pretty decent food. Only real issue is it's accessibility - it is a real hike inside the hotel and outside, particularly at night when it isn't very well lit."

"My wife and I have booked the Saturday nite J.W. Mrriott Desert Springs prime rib and seafood buffet for three consecutive years during our visits to the Palm Springs area. We have been overwhelmed by the food fare including excellent prime rib, succulent King Crab Legs and plump shrimp along with a stellar selection of accompanying salads, vegetables tasty desserts and other food dishes for those non beef and seafood fans. The dinner is a very good value and you will certainly not leave hungry. I am already looking forward to our visit next year!"

"We had a really great time here. We were seated immediately. I did note that some earlier arrivals whose tables were not quite ready had wanted to sit at the bar while waiting, but the bar area was quite small and all the chairs were filled. So if you are planning in sitting at the bar during prime dinner hour you might be disappointed.
Our server was gracious and attentive without hovering. She recommended the buffet and it was great. Sometimes buffets appear to feature dull or not-quite-fresh food, but this was really nice. Lots of salads and healthy choices, so you can feel good about yourself and then pig out on the desserts. WHich I did. The chocolate mousse, the fruit tarts, the little chocolate tarts, oh my. My head was spinning."

"They had 4 things on the dinner menu and they werent not worth the price paid. Service was slow, and the staff were odd. We should have walked across the street for Mortons."

"service was very good - steak special had great flavor, lobster ravioli was good...the only complaint would be the resturant seems to open..i guess i prefer more walls/dividers for privacy."
