Low ceilings, tight tables and no view. We have come back every year, but the prices seemed to have gotten crazy over the last two years. However, it is very expensive: $27 for one stuffed chili relleno; dinner salads $16-18, entrees mostly $40 to $55. Cocktails, $13 and wine priced 2.5 to 3.0 times retail (Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc...$14.84 at Costco, $55.00 at Lahaina Grill. Desserts $13. For two of us, with tip: $267+, and we shared an appetizer and a dessert; no coffee.

The waiter Dale was knowledgeable and did an exceptional job of pacing the meal so we were relaxed and could enjoy some conversation between courses. The last evening of our Maui family vacation is always at the Lahaina Grill. It is a beautiful setting with lovely, original artwork; the best food on the island; and our server, Richard, was the best we have ever had. Get this - they placed a 3'x3' piece of craft paper under the high chair so if the baby dropped anything it never touched the floor. And!! Each of the ladies hung their handbags from purse hangers so they did not touch the floor either. And the food was to die for! Perhaps they could/ improve in the only deffect I could see. Everybody is running all the ime which creates a kind of nervous atmosphere. I believe slowing done will add to the comfortable ambience this place has.

The hostess found us the best table for us and sat us with a server who was knowledgeable and passionate. The server was a professional and knew exactly when to talk and when to leave us alone, he definitely knew when to serve. My girlfriend had the wagyu beef ravioli with a mushroom sauce that went well with EVERYTHING and i had the 'cake walk' appetizer for our first course which was an eruption of flavor (especially loved the chili accents). I had the Ribeye Special modified with the server's recommended sauce change, which was AMAAAZING! Our final course was the famous "Road To Hana," definitely a chocolate lover's paradise - or as it is known..
