"The food was good but not great. I enjoyed the evening's fish dinner special, sea bass, but it didn't knock my socks off. I expected a lot more given their prices. If we are going to spend that much money on a meal, we would choose another of the many fine restaurants on the West Side."

"This was my favorite restaurant on the island and we went twice which I almost never do. Excellent quality product and a more contemporary vision than a lot of the other restaurants (not super contemporary just not "old school") Mamas Fish house and Sansei are my next favorites. Many think Merriman's is the best but I was less impressed but it is still pretty good. If you go to Macawao, Cassanova is really good and has surprisingly good pizza, but there is a restaurant in the general store there that my travel agent said (after I got back) was the best food on the island.The Fish Market in Paia is good for lunch. Pacifico was simple food but very good. Roy's was the only bad meal we had and it was terrible! Fresh island fish is the ticket"

"We tried Lahaina Grill after reading that it had won "Best Restaurant in Maui" for twenty years running. After dining here, I can understand the hype. We had terrific service, delicious food, and a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Our waiter Dale was a true professional. Even the busboy was outstanding, filling our water glasses and attending quickly to our needs."

"We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary on beautiful Maui, we were looking for a special dinner. We found it! Service was great....food couldn't have been better. Loved the anniversary gift; a card from the restaurant and a picture taken and emailed to us the next day."

"Overall it was a great first time dinner experience at Lahaina Grill. Food was amazing, service was good being that we are local and will definetly use this restaurant as a special occasion hot spot. The waygu beef ravioli IS a must have. I'm a specials type of gal, so I enjoyed the seabass special and by far the best fish preparation I've had in a while!"
