  • "Service was great and we had a window at the end of the restaurant with open views to the water. Very nice place to watch the sunset. Food was solid and the kids enjoyed the menu."

  • "Best view if you get a table that sits on the outside Salads were good ribs were cold and not fresh tasting. My husband said his fish wasn't fresh tasting either it had that old frozen fish taste. Service was a bit slow and I think there are better food choices in lanaina"

  • "Wow! Fabulous restaurant! We went with our parents and two elementary aged children for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the service, view and spectacular food. The view is amazing. The staff promptly took our drink order, gave us warm breadths served our children's food within a few minutes to keep them happy. The MahiMahi special was wonderful. It was blackened with just the right amount of spice, the mashed potatoes were perfect and the veggies were amazing. Everyone loved their meal. The chef is worthy of 5+ stars. Nothing is average about this restaurant. There were also romantic couples dining and clearly having a good time. We all highly recommend!"

  • "The perfect meal. A table over the ocean with direct sunset view, great food, a bottle of wine, and a pleasant and attentive server."

  • "Located on Front Street overlooking the water, you can't beat the view. The food is very good with lots of local fish prepared wonderfully. The service is sketchy, sometimes good and sometimes lacking. I asked to substitute vegetables for included potatoes and was told to order them as a side dish and pay the full price - not very accommodating! When the manager came over to see if we enjoyed our dinner, he told us that no substitutions was their policy. He then offered to buy us desserts and coffee which amounted to more money that the side dish of vegetables so that confused me even more. As they are located on Front St. in Lahaina on the island of Maui, they are full every night and I guess they do not need to be accommodating."

  • "Great dining over crashing waves. A very nice dining experience in the town of lahaina. Would highly recommend. Food was delicious. Moon fish was the best."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our evening dinner at Lahaina Fish Co. We felt that it was better than Mama's Fish House (that we had heard so much about). We ultimately ate at both places and the Lahaina was better food, more food, cheaper, better view and not so noisy!! Also, the service at Lahaina was top notch!!! Mama's fish house was awful, HOT, NOISY, when we went it was dark so we couldn't really appreciate the view. However, where they sat us, we would never have been able to see anything anyway. I had made our reservations for both places months in advance!! LAHAINA WAS AWESOME AND WE'D GO BACK THERE AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!"

  • "Stopped for dinner on our way to the airport. The view was perfect for remembering our trip. The food was delicious and presented beautifully after we were graciously and quickly seated. Our waiter was fun and knowledgeable and made suggestions at our request. Would definitely return to Lahaina Fish and Company."

  • "After a Valentine's Day sunset wedding on the beach, we drove to Lahaina for a celebratory meal (just the two of us). On the plus side, the table location was great (in the corner - overlooking the harbor). On the so-so side, the waiter behalved like we were taking up valuable space and getting a free meal. The coconut lobster skewers were excellent but the entree (prime rib?) - blah. Even the pina coladas couldn't raise our opinion of this location. My bride and I would not return here again."

  • "We had a very good meal of local fish that was prepared very nicely. The calamari was not particularly tasty and were the biggest pieces of squid that I have ever seen - I wouldn't order it again. While it was a windy, rainy night the staff was very prompt in attending to drawing the tarps down so we diners on the verandah did not get blown away! The service was very prompt and very attentive. We would definitely go back on our next trip to Maui."

  • "My husband and I chose Lahaina Fish Co for our pre-Valentine's dinner. We are so happy we did! Every part of the evening was exceptional and we are looking forward to our next visit. Parking can be an issue in downtown Lahaina but they have an agreement with a parking facility a block away and validate parking up to 3 hours and the short walk is quite lovely."

  • "We've dined at this restaurant several times over multiple trips to Maui. Being open to the ocean is great, even if you can't get a table on the edge. The atmosphere is relaxed so you can stop in for dinner after shopping in Lahaina. The food has always been good at a reasonable price. We've always had good service, there if you need something, but not hovering you so you can enjoy good conversation with others you're with."

  • "We have eaten at Lahaina Fish Co. before and had excellent service and food was outstanding. Returning to Maui again Lahaina Fish Co. was at the top of our restaurant list, unfortunately we were very disappointed. Food was good but I cannot say the same about the service. It was extremely slow."

  • "We had an excellent lunch with an outstanding table right out front over the ocean. The food was very good and the service was wonderful. The tempura vegetables were delicious! We have also had their prime rib (they do not serve it for lunch, we were there on the Hawaii Tasting Tour - highly recommended) and it is really good."

  • "Overall excellent. Very fresh fish. Great table overlooking the Ocean. Started to rain, and we got a little wet. No big deal, but they gave us 20% off on food and wine and a free desert. Excellent service."

  • "This is the best food with the best prices. After eating there our second night on Maui we tried several other places. Then for our last night went back, because they had the best food quality, portion size and price that we had."

  • "We were a little worried when we were able to get a reservation at the last minute, and even more so when we were seated - and saw so few people on a Sunday evening. But we were pleasantly surprised by the good food. Not fabulous, but pretty darn good. Ironically, despite the name, we found the steak to be better than the fish. Go figure."

  • "We had made a reservation for 7:30. When we arrived we were told to go walk around the town as our table was not set. We came back twenty minutes later then stood at the door for a further fifteen . When I see a busy restaurant I believe this to be a sight of a good( popular) restaurant. This was just a case of disorganized staff. We finally arrive at our table right at the waters edge. Beautiful view . It was a windy night not characteristic of normal weather. The waitress was good , the food was excellent. Well worth the wait. My wife really enjoyed her lava flow. Generally we will linger have dessert and an after dinner drink. It was just to windy tonight. So strong a gust blow the salt shaker across the table."

  • "We had just arrived after a long flight from San Francisco on Christmas Day, and was glad to find the restaurant was able to seat us earlier than our reservation on the upper deck of the restaurant with an awesome sunny view of Lana'i, where we were heading next. We had the fried artichokes for appetizer, and the Hawaiian short ribs/Fish & Chips/Fish Tacos for lunch. It was a marvelous way to start our vacation. The restaurant is centrally located in Lahaina which makes for great shopping. Fortified, we walked to the harbor to catch our ferry to Lana'i."

  • "We got a stressful feeling the minute we walked in. We were a party of six and had entrée and dessert and it was all over within an hour. Almost felt like we were thrown out. Food was ok."

  • "Even at 515P we had to take a table in the back near the noisy kitchen, even though there were better tables that remained empty as we ate our meal. Food was pretty good but service was uneven. Not many choices for Christmas Day but we would probably not return anyway."

  • "I made reservations based on the reviews I read here on Open Table. The food was great and the views of the ocean were spectacular! It is pricey, but it is worth it! I had a great time!"

  • "The kale caesar was impressive and the veggie sides were good, but had a lot of sauce on the brussel sprouts. Fish was good....the tempura was overly greasy though so avoid it at all costs."

  • "There are several good restaurants in Lahaina but this one felt especially touristy. The food was fine and it was nice overlooking the water but there was nothing memorable about the experience."

  • "We were lucky enough to get a table right on the water on a busy Friday night, the Mai Tais are made from scratch, and some of the best we found on the island (not sweet like the ones made from a mix). The seafood was prepared very well. We were amused by the confusion at the hostess station. They had 3 different people trying to organize the seating, and they clearly did not get along. We had to wait about 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, because one hostess felt it was first come first served, even if you had a reservation, so several walk-ins were seated ahead of us. So, if you are really hungry, you might want to keep an eye out for that."

  • "The Lahina Fish Company is the best place I've eaten at on the islamd. Yes better than Mama's Fish House. Lots of locally caught or grown items on the menu delightfully prepared and the water front location is idyllic."

  • "While we had an oceanfront table, the service was not good. Our server Walter was one of waiters who gives more attention to larger tables than smaller tables. There was a table of six behind us who got his full attention including having their meals delivered by him personally not by somebody else as we did. In addition, he did ask how the meals were immediately after they were immediately after the dishes were placed on the table without us having eaten any of food. There was a bus boy who was really nice and had a great charm. The food was good and cooked to our request."

  • "Expected good food and great views just because of the location, but food and service exceeded our expectations. Had a fabulous meal. The Lau Lau plate is unbelievable. Seated next to the water so the ambience was unrivaled."
