Lafayette HouseGreat food and great serviceLocated on route 1 near Patriot place , LH offers classic dining in a historic atmosphere.
Large portions and great tasting fair makes LH a must try.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHow Great! My wife and I selected this restaurant because it had been years since our last visit. And we we're celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. However, it certainly won't be as long next time around. We had a delicious dinner and very nice time Thank you.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food but WAY OVERBOOKEDWe ate her on Mother's Day and it seems they overbooked. You couldn't even walk through the restaurant. People were standing EVERYWHERE waiting for tables. They were running 45 mins behind on reservations. The food was great though. Would still eat here again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMToo long of a wait with reservationHad a 45 minute wait on Mother's Day even after making a reservation and call back to verify the reservation. Too many other people were in the same boat, therefore no place to wait especially with small kids in tow. They need to allow more time for the earlier reservations to clear before making more for the same tables.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch 2013 Mother's DayFood selection for both breakfast and dinner items was outstanding5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchOther than a longer-than-expected wait (12:00 reservation, 12:40 actual seating), the brunch was very good. Nice variety and quantity/quality of food. The waiter was appropriately attentive filling coffee cups and water glasses, and cleaning dirty dishes for the 2nd (and 3rd) trip to the buffet.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent brunchImpressive, excellent brunch with a tremendous variety, including omelet bar. Beautiful, quaint old inn in an easy-to-reach location on Rte. 1 south of the Foxboro stadium.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time dining sr LafayetteFirst time dining sr Lafayette House. Service was very friendly. Reasonably priced. (not cheap). The food was excellent. I had a salmon special and my had the veal Oscar. We started with wedge salads. This one was excellent..freshly cooked baked and blue cheese crumbles with blue cheese dressing on the side. The salmon was excellent. I was expecting a basic piece grilled salmon. However, this was very subtly seasoned with and the scallion rice accompanying it was tasty. The veal Oscar was excellent.
Definitely will go there again. Only complaint was the noise coming from the tavern. But the again, there's nothing wrong with folks having a good time on a Friday night4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for Easter Brunch. We went for Easter Brunch. The food was excellent, the staff was accommodating. Service was a bit slow, but that was not surprising given the crowds. There was a good selection of brunch items.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went on Easter Sunday soWe went on Easter Sunday so they were understandably very busy for brunch. There seemed to be a ton of people waiting so maybe their reservation system could use some tweaking. The hostess and one of the waiters were bickering over which tables were available which was very uncomfortable and set a very stressful tone for the brunch. Our waiter was good and the buffet was great so overall very good.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall very good- Easter-Overall very good- Easter- so crowded and service not up to standard- no roll plates; lemon omitted with stuffed shrimp etc but staff pleasant and quickly corrected. Wait in bar area horrible- noisy crowded and not handicap friendly- but again- Easter so expected some delay. Easter menu very good- good selections for entree but very limited on appetizer- only 1 salad dressing offered!. Overall my party was pleased. I prefer dining when not holiday.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMClassicThis is truly an iconic restaurant. The food is solid and the service is exceptional!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
