  • "This is the second time we have been to LaCroix and it was just as delicious as we remembered it. If we lived in philadelphia and not NY we would be there more often. Yes, it is expensive; but it is worth every cent. Food, service, ambience just great."

  • "Service was outstanding. Every course was delicious and toward the end of the meal the chef came by our table. Certainly will go back."

  • "Service fabulous Wine list good Food was just okay and I left starving!!!! They must have a menu that allows for full portions"

  • "Portions are just right and food was cooked and presented perfectly and was delicious. Fabulous bread.. We found the deserts to be a little too sweet and to bear little resemblence to the central ingredient."

  • "This is a calm, old-style top-end restaurant with attention to both food and service. I had the 8 course menu with wine pairing, and found the staff to the thoughtful and attentive. Interesting dishes, well done; thought went into the wine. It ain't cheap, but I'd definitely come back."

  • "The food is awesome and the brunch selection is great. The Brunch is close to $70 per person and it is definitely worth it. Cocktails are a little bit over priced for my personal opinion ($15 for a Bloody Marry, $9 for a non-alcoholic lemonade). Service is outstanding."

  • "My husband and I love classic French and this restaurant didn't disappoint. Service was exceptional and the ambiance was quiet and elegant. Generally, the food was excellent although I had the lamb and found it to be tough even though it was served medium rare. This is not a hip joint, but if you want a restaurant where you can talk, where you aren't rushed, and where you want to impress someone, then La Croix would be a very good choice."

  • "Wonderful and elegant dining experience in a lovely setting. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive."

  • "Instead of going with the a la carte menu, I went with the 4 course option which didnt disappoint. The wine selection was excellent along with the service. It was unfortunately my dinner companion wasnt more of a foodie so that we could try other dishes."

  • "If you total elegance with top service this is one of top three places in Philadelphia."

  • "Our dinner was excellent as always. The service is professional and also personable. The chef has a deft hand with flavors, and we always enjoy when we dine here. Since Le Bec Fin closed, I tend to forget about eating really elegant, refined food in a matching venue. This restaurant fits the bill. We should eat there more often."

  • "We were visiting from out of town and everything was absolutely impeccable. The service was amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable. It's expensive, but if you know that going in you can savor every delectable bite."

  • "LaCroix was a lovely addition to our weekend in Philadelphia. The food is outstanding and the waitstaff is knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. In fact, we were so pleased that we returned the next afternoon for brunch. And what a wonderful brunch! In addition to French savories, there were the usual breakfast foods, but we skipped these in favor of the main dishes, which were served in the kitchen. Each one was more interesting than the next but we both voted for duck confit as our favorite.Needless to say, we did not eat dinner that evening! LaCroix is very pricey but worth every delicious mouthful."

  • "Tasting menu was exquisite. Chef did an off-the-menu tartare that was magnificent."

  • "A five-star dining experience - food, service, ambiance - excellent!"
    Dined on 3/18/2014
  • "The food was fabulous, abundant, and varied as always, and the desserts featured some fun ingredients, Earl Grey tea, Mexican chocolate, passion fruit, and yuzu in a rosemary macaron (as an appetizer but could be dessert and my favorite of the whole spread)."

  • "Beautiful setting, wait staff incredibly well trained and attentive, food splendid - it was quite a treat to have a delicious, complex multi-course meal and not leave feeling overfull, but rather fabulously well fed."

  • "Excellent service! My husband has cream of broccoli with dark garlic and it was delicious. The crab cake was okay. I have the four course lunch: Striped bass root vegetable escabeche was flavorful. Scallop, kale, heart of palm, parmesan was perfect. Rohan duck breast was a disappointment. Trio of Petits desserts were yummy."

  • "Rittenhouse Square is one of the loveliest places anywhere and the view of the Square form La Croix is the best. It is a world set apart. The staff are welcoming and capable in every way. The food is delicious. I have been several times but had never tried the Lasagna entree. It was so luscious! Stuffed with cheeses and a beautiful fresh tomato sauce. We both had the green salad which was perfect. Getting the simplicity of a salad just right is a great accomplishment. We passed on dessert but the miniature offerings which are no more than a bite or two are delightful (I've had them before). La Croix is by far my favorite place for that special lunch with a close friend when you just want to relax and enjoy an elegant break."

  • "Setting is lovely, overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Crabcake very good, fish and chips delicate and tasty. Starter broccoli soup very good. Dessert "small bites" attractive, but lacking in flavor. That was the only disappointment, otherwise a great lunch."

  • "The chef's lunch menu along with the wine pairing is the best fine dining lunch in the city, and a fantastic value when compared to dinner prices. The food quality, preparation, presentation and tastes are superb. The atmosphere is understated elegance. The service is very polished with great attention to detail that made the meal even more special. The view of Rittenhouse square is just more icing on the cake. If you are looking for an extraordinary meal in a special setting, this is the place !"

  • "My wife and I were celebrating the 13th anniversary of our first date. (Yes, we do that). She loves fine food and a great wine list. Me? I just want her happy. We went to Lacroix, because we wanted a great tasting menu and new place after Le Bec Fin shut down. After dining here, I wish I'd known about this place earlier. First off, the menu was every bit as good as Le Bec Fin, at about 60% of the cost -- though, be forewarned, it ain't cheap either. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wines, to be sure, but they were not pretentious about it. Rather, they were very accommodating and personable. If we didn't like something -- wine, food, dessert, it was replaced. Highly recommended."

  • "Dined during restaurant week and loved it! You definitely get what you pay for (in this case more than i paid for) at this place. The service was wonderful, Everyone and i mean every staff person that passed our table spoke to us and welcomed us and/or asked were we enjoying ourselves. I got gnocchi, the cold gazpacho type appetizer and the chocolate dessert. All were AMAZING as i expected. They also brought out a complimentary "candy" tray after dessert finished featuring chocolates, sweet jellys and candy bites (enough for each person to try one of everything). Very nice touch! I am a foodie at heart and can say i was 110% satisfied and will come back with or without restaurant week pricing as it was just that good! Gracias Lacroix!"

  • "This may be one of the best restaurants in America. The word is "incredible." The staff could not have been more knowledgeable, or attentive (without hovering.) The cuisine was imaginative and perfect. We also were quite impressed with the decor. Regal, but not at all ostentatious. The intimate atmosphere made everything even better. We are "foodies" visiting from Washington, D.C. And we were unanimous, we shall savor the flavor.... and look forward to our return. Compliments to the chef, our principal waiter (Ben), and the management of this find restaurant for putting together such an outstanding team. Bravo."

  • "This was an underwhelming experience, the food was lackluster and tasteless. The mixed green salad was over dressed and acidic. The entire group (6) at lunch left the restaurant dissatisfied - no one enjoyed any dish. Part of the problem was the very limited menu offered at the restaurant week lunch. This was one of the least enjoyable meals I have had. Only the room was beautiful."

  • "One of the best...actually the best brunch experience I have ever had!"

  • "Food service and atmosphere were top notch. Our breakfast fresh and hot. The waiter was very attentive. Our view of rittenhouse was awesome. A definite spot for breakfast."

  • "We recently celebrated a special birthday with an extra special multigenerational lunch at Lacroix and could not have been happier with our choice. The setting is idyllic, overlooking Rittenhouse Square. The service is impeccable. The food was perfection (we all had the crab cake). The icing on the cake was when our waiter served a tiny Tiffany box cake on a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. We hadn't mentioned the birthday, but he had picked up on it during the meal. (That's the kind of service I'm talking about.) When the meal ended, we weren't quite ready to end the day so we sat in a quiet corner of the lobby for a while, glad to be in a hotel instead of a stand alone restaurant. Perfect spot for a special occasion."

  • "Easily one if the nicest restaurants in Philadelphia. Their attention to detail with the food, ambiance, and service is a rare combination of qualities."

  • "Everything was just right! We loved the view, food and wait staff. What more could you want in a beautiful venue like Lacroix?"

  • "La Croix remains, after several years, one of the most consistently fine restaurants in Philadelphia. The menu is perfectly balanced with dishes to suit diverse tastes, and both preparation and presentation are exquisite. The location (set above Rittenhouse Square) has one of the most charming views in the City. Topping it all off is a staff that has mastered the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive service. When planning for a special occasion or a business meal for which one wishes to leave nothing to chance, La Croix tops any other venue in the City."

  • "If you have a special occasion or just want a wonderful brunch with a beautiful view, this is definitely the perfect choice. The menu is very unique, the drinks are very good and the view is just lovely. We love going into the kitchen to see what's in store for the entrée and dessert. It's worth the price for sure."

  • "Very professional and attentive staff. Great wine pairing and food. Can not wait top Go back! Bar far the best restaurant in Philadelphia."

  • "This is the first time we've been back to Lacroix since the ownership has changed. It's still a very nice dining experience. The service is not quite as good as it used to be, and sadly, the coffee was terrible. Other than those two knocks, its still great."

  • "I came to Lacroix on the night of the Super Bowl with my two friends- one currently living in Philadelphia and the other from out of town. We all did the Tasting Menu and Wine Pairing. The chef accommodated a vegetarian in our party with a custom tasting menu and wine pairing. Our waiter and the rest of the restaurant's staff were spectacular. Our server answered all of our questions regarding their wine menu and even kept us informed about the Super Bowl score. We will definitely dine with them again."

  • "great view, good service. my gin and tonic w/ ginger and cucumber was awesome. overall food was good; I had grilled caesar salad - good size portion, delicious anchovies and dressing. I ordered the fish for the entree-good not great. dessert was ok-I prefer the regular heavy cream panna cotta vs. the yogurt one they had their dessert trio. two mistakes: 1) this was noted as a bday lunch , so they should have at least put a candle on my dessert when they brought it out. 2) the cutlery station was right behind my head, and the servers kept dumping the cutlery into bins which startled me every few minutes - that was not appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber - very annoying."

  • "I reserved a table for lunch at Lacroix for a special lunch for myself and my daughter in law this past Saturday. The food was wonderful. It was very quiet and the service was excellent. It was a beautiful way to begin a birthday celebration! I love the view over Rittenhouse Square! I also loved the great little menu. We had the ceasar salad and lobster roll. Both were amazing!!! I will return!"
