Price was good too; with drinks and an appetizer, your meal could get pricey - but we fully expected that and weren't blown away when we got the bill. The atmosphere is also great - they play Italian music and it sets the mood well. Lunch is wonderful and the pannini's are to die for. My last visit was with a group of 10 on Mother's Day and we had a marvelous dinner and service was great. We did eat early, because we had tickets to Drowsy Chaperone. Everything was fantastic except for the room temperature. Where we were sitting the air condition was working too well and very drafty. This is very good Italian food, solid, well presented and delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is limited, but the choices are good, and the value is actually very good. The eggplant rolatini is quite good, and is a great appetizer. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food. Great food and excellent service. La Volta remains our favorite on every level. They really do try to provide the best experience for each table, and they take "when you are with us, your family to heart". We have dined here several times and we are never treated as strangers, but rather family.
And the food is just excellent. Mama makes all of the desserts. The bread is awesome and freshly baked. The entrees are reasonably priced. We were able to have our car parked by the valet and walk to our performance, then afterwards came back to the bar to have a cocktail before going home. The food was good my Veal Saltimvoca was delicious, my husbands bolenese was fair,too munch tomato and not enough cream and meat flavor. The staff was very welcoming and eager to please! We had to call and change times twice due to speakers at the conference going over time. They had no trouble each time we called adjusting our time.
