My Wife and I were very surprised, because we have eaten here several times and never had an experience like this before. We were their from 7:20 pm. to 9:45 pm. The restaurant is very clean, which is extremely important. Wine and Martinis were excellent. We ordered our favorite artichoke appetizer and it was fantastic! Prawns appetizer was also very nice, as was the calamari; fried very nicely and very tender. We all ordered shellfish for the main course and as usual, the shellfish was fresh and cooked very well. The blood orange sorbetto was amazing. Service was outstanding. The food is always fresh and delicious, the portions are a nice size. You don't leave feeling overstuffed and uncomfortable. We were greeted warmly and made immediately welcome. Service was spot-on; gracious and charming while never intrusive or overly formal. The restaurant itself was lovely; elegant with a hint of "rustico". The lighting was perfect and the tables were nicely spaced.
The cuisine was among the finest I've experienced anywhere. Every item was expertly prepared, and drew subtle flavoring from wonderfully fresh ingredients; even the presentation was superb. We enjoyed every savory bite of mozzarela di bufala, lobster raviola, orrichette alla barese, and baby bak choy con cannelini. We concluded with a superb tiramisu!

The food is amazing and the service wonderful. It is very hard to find Braciole on a menu but La Volpe is an exception, probably the best braciole I have ever had. Fabulous tuna and avocado appetizer as well. We were there for a birthday celebration and it could not have been better. The singing of Happy Birthday in Italian closed out a fabulous evening.
