"Fantastic service both from waiting staff and sommelier; extensive wine list and wine flights matched to multiple courses. Expensive, but worth it- brilliantly cooked and presented food, plenty of creativity, beautiful matched wines. Feels special and is in a nice location in Napa by the river, but being part of the Westin rather than an independent restaurant for me took away some of the individuality and romance. Would recommend it highly for a splurge whilst in a weekend away in the wine country."

"My husband and I are big foodies and were excited at the prospect of eating at this restaurant. I, however, had reservations about the cost and considered canceling. We decided to go ahead and try and came back with mixed feelings. The wait staff was FANTASTIC! We could not have asked for more. The food, however, was a mixed bag. Some courses were so great that I could have licked the plate (Hamachi and Wagyu Beef) and others failed to impress. As a HUGE truffle fan, I was very disappointed that the black truffle had absolutely no flavor. If fact, I left wondering if seaweed had been substituted! Overall, we enjoyed the chance to play with the flavors, but I doubt that we would return."

"We were excited about trying La Toque due to reputation and we are residents of Napa. My partner enjoyed his 4 courses of hamachi, quail, antelope and rib eye. The wine pairings with these dishes were perfect. My experience with the dungeoness salad - too much curry that overpowered the crab; the salmon was undercooked and I had mentioned to our server that I was pregnant. The salmon was returned to the kitchen and prepared but still came out fishy. Our server seemed disconnected and aloof. The assistants were much more helpful and available."

"Excellent food and unique pairings. The fixed menu was helpful and the variety of choices was great. The service staff at time was a bit rude. For example, our party of 7 was still looking at the menu and the waiter was visibly frustrated when we asked for five more minutes. Besides that, we had an excellent experience and would go back."
