La Toque – Westin NapaFrench Laundry move overAnniversary dinner went beautifully. Quiet, romantic and the food was as good as I've ever experienced. The Chef sent a signed menu and desert with elegant candles. The staff didn't sing, thank God! You want to impress, come here. 75 page wine list..... Seriously.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful! So kind. So delicious. We went here for Mother's Day brunch, and the staff was so kind and the food so good. I would say that not all of the staff is well versed in how to serve food with young kids at the table (who puts the hot latte in front of the wiggly baby?!) But the food was WONDERFUL and the staff was incredibly kind to me and my husband. It's fantastic.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA must if you are in NapaMy wife and I have not been to La Toque in several years - It was as good if not better in our first time. It was a wonderful experiance.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMReally goodThis town is littered with great food and restaurants. This place fits right in. We had lobster, veal, duck, slamon, asparagus and caviar. We ate from the choose three plus wine flights ( you choose from the menu sections either three or four dishes and can opt for wine flights. Choosing caviar adds $36 to your bill for the Cliqueot you get with it). Everything was excellent. Dessert and gratuity included $175 pp. We dined two tables down from the most famous chef in Washington DC who also seemed to be thoroughly enjoying his experience.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExtremely impressive menuExtremely impressive menu as to variety and quality. The four or five course dinners are fun to construct. Everythng is beautifully presented and delicious, but the servings are extremely small, and you will have to fill up on bread to prevent leaving hungry. The desserts are particularly well done. The wine list is very extensive and the price breath taking. The coffee is the only thing edible that needs work.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a wonderful diningThis was a wonderful dining experience. We had the 3 course meal with wine pairing and was pleased with the taste, presentation and wine knowledge. Quite an experience that everyone should do at least once in their lifetime.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingThe four of us had an exceptional time. Be prepared to spend some money, but the food is divine and the service impeccable.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA memorable feastA noteworthy place- truly exceptional!!
Excellent, attentive service and a most expansive wine list imaginable commented on and approved of by our french guest from Burgundy. To warm up the palate a muse bouche was offered, followed by exquisite appetizer and main dishes of your choosing- unsurpassable in flavor, composition as well as presentation.
Also heavenly for dessert lovers: gorgeously prepared, innovative choices executed to perfection- if one so desires pairing with Muscat can add to the experience.
An extraordinary evening of being well tended to and an incredibly enjoyable feast for the taste buds- we can't wait to come back for another visit.
THANK YOU for doing a stellar job all around.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe indulged ourselves withWe indulged ourselves with the chef's table menu and wine pairing. The staff was very attentive throughout the evening, even as business picked up. The wine pairings were excellent - leading us into areas we would likely not have explored on our own, but complementing the courses nicely! The sommelier was very knowledgeable, efficient, and provided a refreshingly entertaining presentation.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile pricey, the food atWhile pricey, the food at La Toque was amazing. We had the 3 course meal with dessert and each course was a reasonable portion and very delicious. The wine list is huge, but incredibly expensive. I suggest you bring your own bottle and just pay the corkage fee. This is a terrific restaurant which I will definitely return to in a future trip to Napa.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMVery special restaurant. NotVery special restaurant. Not only is the tasting menu outstanding but the wine pairings added so much to the experience . The service was excellent. While expensive, the price was well worth the experience4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I celebrated herMy wife and I celebrated her birthday at La Toque. It was exceptional. The menu is one of the most interesting in the Valley and the 3 or 4 course menu offers great flexibiity. In fact, the vegetarian "dinner" was the best we have ever seen. The Antelope, Sable amd quail were excellant. I don't understand some other "reviews" that cmplained about the service or portion sizes. The service was wonderful and the portions were more than ample.
Don't wait for a special occasion to try this wonderful restaurant.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a party of three andWe were a party of three and two of us chose the Chef's menu (my recommendation) and one person chose to select from the 3-course menu. It was simply over the top. Every course was a memorable culinary delight.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was going wellEverything was going well until the cheese course-a few slivers of mimolette with some stale crackers. Wha?!?! Cheese course?! I’ve had better cheese walking around Costco trying samples! The service staff was very pleasant but one could tell they deal with a lot of ignorant questions. Not a bad place for a nice, quiet dinner.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is high end dining inThis is high end dining in a stylish but relaxed hotel restaurant. Despite a deserved mention in the Michelin guide, the staff does not take itself overly seriously. Even with the wealth of fine restaurants in the area, visitors might wish to eat here more than once during a stay in Napa.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome!Awesome! It was a great experience--the food was perfect!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. ServiceFood was excellent. Service was somewhat slow and disconnected.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything just Great exceptEverything just Great except the Sommelier, too snob and not kind at all3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely birthday dinnerExcellent service, Jonathan was our server. Wonderful menu, huge wine list. Lamb dish was disappointing but the rest of our dinner was outstanding!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I love La Toque! My wife and I love La Toque! We have been there 5 times and each time has been a great experience. We are vegetarians, but Chef Frank conjures up such creative dishes that we always end up eating something new each time. The wine selections are excellent, of course being in Napa. The service is very attentive and friendly and they will make us french fries (my wife's addiction!), bring us soda water to clean up any spills (seem to do it often!), etc. I have taken many friends and family members there and they are uniformly impressed. I would highly recommend it over any of the other high profile places in the Napa valley including French Laundry and Bottega.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved the ambiance of theWe loved the ambiance of the fireplace. The service was impeccable from start to finish and not snobby or stuffy either. The sommelier was very helpful and wasn't pushing the most expensive bottles on the list. The food was outstanding. I had quail and antelope and both were wonderful, although the quail is like eating a tiny chicken and you have to watch out for the bones. It was delicious though. Great dining experience.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe absolutely loved La Toque...We absolutely loved La Toque... especially the sommelier! We plan to eat here every time we visit Napa Valley.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingThis is what food should be all about. We went there on Christmas Eve and ordered the Chef's 9-course tasting menu. Everything was out of this world. They were also very flexible in accomodating my wife's restriction to shrimps due to allergies. The service was excellent. No wonder Chef Ken Frank has a Michellin star for this restaurant.12/24/2012 12:00:00 AM
