The external appearance meaning signage is a bit quirky but once inside the ambiance created is intimate and engaging. With it's warm Italian terracotta colours, beautiful plush velvet curtains. The food from start to finish was well presented, very tasty and authentic. The pasta should not be overlooked. A great four course meal. Bring an empty stomach. Took every ounce of focus to not luck the plate:).

We just came back from Rome, Italy last week. Being it was our first dining experience at La Terrazza, we were hoping that reviewing the menu selections online would remind us of the cuisine we miss. Very impressed with the ambiance, the restaurant staff (service & attentiveness), food presentation & portion. Next time, we definitely will try the dessert menu as well. Fabulous neighbourhood gem indeed!

We went for 68th birthday and sat on the outdoor patio. Our waiter was perfect. He recommended 2 fabulous bottles of wine. The dinner was not rushed at all. We asked to share an order of pasta as we went for a four course meal. He anticipated how full we may be and gave us each a quarter portion of pasta instead. Everything was perfect from our 7:30 arrival to our 10:30 departure. We will definitely be back. The inside dining room looks fabulous and perfect for a fall/winter dinner.

Started by ordering a bottle of wine from the rather large wine list. Took 10 minutes for the server to come back and say that they were out of the first bottle. Ordered a different bottle. 10 minutes later the server came back with a bottle, but I noticed the vintage was 07 instead of 06. He then said they just bumped up the vintage when out of the ordered. A heads up instead of me catching this would have been a better approach. One last thing about the wines...the red wines are served and presumably cellared right at room temperature. Drinking a red at 74 degrees is not appealing at all to me. After 25 mins of trying to get wine, I switched to the beer list.

We were celebrating a couple of birthdays that night and we had mentioned it in our reservation and also again when we were on our way to the restaurant. Unfortunately there was no mention of it from our server and when dessert was served we were hoping there would be some acknowledgement of it....but nothing. Other than that, it was still a very wonderful evening, great ambience, large portions, great food. Valet parking - great deal.

My husband and I came here for the first time. Our server Luigi was amazing, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He appeared to be the only person working in the entire restaurant but handled it like a pro!!! The wine list was full of choices at various price levels. The food choices were also varied. I had fresh spinach ravioli in a tomato cream sauce and mu husband had chicken. Both tasted fresh. our starter of the antipasti plate was wonderful. Everything about our experience was positive and we would recommend this to anyone!! Thank you Luigi!!!

Could not have had a better experience at this place. From the decor and great location, to the superb and attentive service - everything was perfect. The waiter was kind and recommended a good wine to start our meal. We were out on a date and I think he noticed that we wanted to spend some time enjoying a good meal so was very attentive without rushing us at all. We got a round of appetizers - the Salumi and Bruschetta. Both were fantastic - the Salumi was a good find as it definitely reminded me of a nice Italian meal. After some time enjoying appies and drinking wine, we moved into a good pasta dinner (we both ordered the bolognese). It was a refreshing change from the more commercial places like Italian Kitchen. Highly recommend

We go to La Terrazza a lot as it's in a convenient location. This time, it was a table of four with my mom, step-dad, my husband, and myself. We had a male server and he was pretty attentive. I'm a gluten-free vegetarian and our server made sure that all the items ordered met my dietary requirements. I was a little taken aback by a female server that served us bread when my mom asked her if there is gluten-free bread available. The server responded, "we don't have things like that here." Later, when we went to the washroom the same server rudely brushed her way past us without stopping to let us down the hallway. Albeit the rude server, the food and the ambience was good.

The food was not very tasty and presentation was not very nice. The wait staff (all male) appear to more interested in the table of two ladies sitting alone, instead of the my table of 10. In fact I observed 3 of the waiters making commets about the "hot chicks". I wondered why they were not very busy for a Saturday night as other than our table, there were only a few other small tables there. We were there from 6:30 - 9:45 PM. I did see a well dressed man walking around (appeared to be a manager) however, I did not see him interact with any of the customers. I did reccomend this place as all the other guests were from out of town. I choose this place as I have driven by many times and I decided to check it out. I will not return

The night (a Saturday) got off to a bad start when they tried to seat us at a table (for two) that was basically a lone table stuck in the passage way between the reception and the actual restaurant. And the place was less than half full, don't know what they were thinking. We elected to wait the two (yes, two) minutes it took to set a better table. Not being big meat eaters, it was disappointing to find two of the four fish dishes were not available. The food was good though, not outstanding, but good. And the wine list is overwhelming (too extensive), yet not a lot of the BC wines we are most familiar with.

After seated we waited 15mins for our bread, we were already starving at this time. We waited another 15mins so 30 in total before our appitizer came. By the time it got to our main entree we were already full. We dined from 8:30 to 11:30. For the price i am paying it's not worthed

Menu was set on valentines day after 9, which they didn't tell and you can't order anything else. Paying 100 bucks per person, and you can't order only for one if you're not hungry. Kinda was a rip off I stayed coz of the booking, they didn't give me a table for like 40 minutes when though I had a booking. Not worth going and paying that much. This is a very, very expensive place! ... There is a notable wine list, but prices are unforgettable! ... finding a bottle of wine under $100 is a challenge, but if you are a lottery winner, you won't have any problem finding bottles between $800 and $4,300! Food is good but service is poor. Be prepared to wait a very long time! Conclusion: You'll do better with your money in another place!

We have been wanting to eat at this restaurant for ages, but were afraid of the cost of dining there. We thought we were reserving for "Dining out Vr."and booked with good friends. They are foodies & had wanted to introduce us to the restaurant For some time. We had misinterpreted their add unfortunately, and dining out had finished when we booked. The manager handled us very well once she realized our mistake and arranged a special meal for us. We agreed To all eat the same dinner to simplify things for the chef. Our meal was absolutely delicious! Beautifully served(by The manager herself). The evening will be a very pleasant memory. We haven't enjoyed. This used to be one of my 'go to' Italian places for special events or when friends came to Vancouver. We hosted a couple from Calgary and decided this was the place to take them. Overall the experience was 'Okay', but that is not what I was looking for. The place is still great, but we (all of us) were really disappointed in our food (and hence 'value'). The pasta tasted good and was cooked very well, but the sauces were bland and under-seasoned. My wife mentioned that this is the first time in a long time that she had to ask for salt and all of us had to ask for pepper (a little surprised too that we were not offered any by the waiter). Anyways, still a nice place, but mostly due to the food, it's no longer on the list.
