La Tasca - RockvilleBirthday CelebrationThis was an early birthday celebration for a dear friend and my first time dining here. Great place and our waiter was awesome. The food was very good as well would definitely return.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation HitMy daughter loves all things Spanish and requested that her family graduation celebration be at La Tasca. Our waiter was over the top helpful and took care to explain things to our guests that had never experienced tapas, etc. before. The ambiance was great. The music from Rockville Square was too loud for good conversation, especially for our more "mature" guests.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMa fun eveningWhile I think this place is overpriced, we had a very nice evening. The food was good -- not fabulous, but fine.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGroup Service (small versus large)wonderful experience for celebrating my birthday. only recommendation would be not having one waiter serving two large parties at the same time. I understand the waiter is experieince and may be able to handle the situation; however, it makes the situation and evening difficult on all parties involve when the service goes in a declining motion.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWell done!La Tasca always delivers excellent food at a reasonable price. Nice patio seating, not quiet but not overly loud, and nice, polite and attentive waitstaff. I loved that they would let me reserve a part of the lounge to accommodate our group. Happy hour is a must as the sangria (very good btw) gets pretty pricy ($14 for a pitcher during HH vs $28 otherwise).
Very good all around, we'll definitely be back soon.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AM1st time good experienceMy wife and I just moved to Rockville and were happy to fine a good Tapas restaurant. We had an excellent waiter. The items that we selected were all very good. I also like their wine list. The basic list has some good choices that are in the high 30's price range and the mark-up is less than 1x retail which is outstanding. I would recommend La Tasca and look forward to going back soon.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLa Tasca is TerrifcThe food was great. Tapas is ideal for haring and my friend and I shared all of our 5 dishes. The rockfish and salmon were cooked perfectly. The salad was fresh. The egglant and cheese sause were delicious.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPablo (from Chile) was a greatPablo (from Chile) was a great server and the food was more than outstanding.
We'll be back.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic!Fantastic as always! I love the fried eggplant, tomato medley, empanadas, and many others. I've liked every dish we've ordered here. Can't wait to go back!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAuthentic Spanish cuisineLa Tasca had a special in April for "The Food of Spain" - excellent selection of the regional specialties from Spain. We have not tried items from the regular menu. Will go back again to try theregular selections.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was good but it wasThe food was good but it was hard to tell who ordered what. The food servers were not our waiter and were not sure what each dish was or were unable to articulate what the dishes were. The Sangria was very good.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Small PlatesAll of the dishes were excellent. Dined in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for either happyGreat spot for either happy hour, small-medium size groups. We had an anniversary dinner that was lovely. Highlights of our meal were the fried eggplant (cheese dipping sauce was fabulous), clams, shrimp, and artichokes rendolent with garlic, paellas are worth the wait. Excellent list of Spanish wines, regular wine list at reasonable prices, specials a great value. Decor very reminiscent of Spain.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe tapas are excellent.
