La Tasca - Penn Quarter
Fun and deliciousSangria and food were both excellent, and the atmosphere was celebratory. The only issue was the kitchen seeming to lose some of our food items and taking way too long with our cheese plate.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for pre-concert diningWent to La Tasca before a concert and the service was quick and knew we were on a tight schedule. Each dish was interesting, and something we could not cook at home. A personal favorite was the calamari with aoili. We ordered a jug of sangria, which went well with our meal. We requested and got a quiet table, and could carry on a good conversation all evening.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI'm not stranger to La Tasca,I'm not stranger to La Tasca, I keep coming back because I enjoy the friendly atmosphere, fine wine, and dining experience. It is very convenient to that location. Initially, they sat us in the very back with my husband's back to the restaurant and staring at a wall (though they were not crowded). We asked to move and they were immediately accomodating. Santiago was an excellent server, who provided great advice on how/what to order and also impeccable service. The Dátiles con Tocino should not be missed! Patatas Bravas were also wonderful. My husband and I had a great time - the entiree experience was exceptional. We loved trying all of the different foods and sangrias - you will too!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMMy favorite place to eat beforeMy favorite place to eat before a Caps game.
