My fish dish was exceptional as was the appetizer of octopus and also the dessert of a molten chocolate cake. Our friends are French and one had the cassoulet which he said was as good or better than ones he has had in France. We also had the baked escargot and none of us thought it was as good as traditionally fixed escargot. My husband had the leg of lamb and found it good but not great. It was tender but the sauce was not special. The side vegetables were very well prepared and presented. Overall, our experience was very good and we would go again.

Food was good, but service was not (only two waiters for the whole place) and we had to wait 20mins for our table on a Wednesday night because there are only 2 two-tops in the place.

Great takes on modern French fare, straight from the kitchen of Didier's mothers kithen. The multi-cultural waitstaff was friendly, engaging and knowledgable. Tiny place with ambiance, good people, and a delightful result. BYOB even allowed me to bring wine from my personal collection to assure its role.

I loved the food.
I had seared duck breast with cherry sauce and my friend got Cassoulet.
Both were really tasty.
We shared profiteroles for dessert. It was the same as the one I got in Paris.
It is BYOB restaurant and everyone actually brings their own wine, so be sure you do as well!

La Sirene is a destination restaurant for wine lovers because of its no-fee corkage policy -- you can BYOB to your heart's delight! The staff is very sweet, the ambiance relaxed, and the food is...good. Sometimes very good. Occasionally even better. But on our most recent visit, it was good. We look forward to returning the next time we need a place in the neighborhood and/or when we're looking to open some bottles with friends on the town.
