We had dinner outside on theirWe had dinner outside on their patio before the theater. A nice prix-fix pretheater menu as well as a la carte. Good food and adequate wine list.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a pleasant surprise. What a pleasant surprise. I booked La Silhouette to try something new in the neighborhood for a friendly business dinner and it was wonderful. The welcome and service could not have been better and the food was delicious. We'll be back.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant has creativeThis restaurant has creative and carefully prepared offerings served attractively in pleasant surroundings. The lunch prix fixe is a bargain.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Choice for HK or Pre-TheatreThe food and service are good here. It is a quiet, elegant choice for pre-theatre pleasant conversation. There is a small bar up front, then a passageway with dining tables that leads to sunken, high ceiling main dining area and garden dining beyond that. Modern, minimalist decor. Went at 6:30pm on a Wednesday and it there were about seven tables. Had gone once before for a long, late dinner and recall a busier, city-chic ambience after dark, with more wine and a pricier check! When special friends asked about a place in area it was first choice. This time, had a very reasonable three course pre-fixe of marrow, skate and pannacotta. All well prepared and correctly portioned. No sleepy, bloated feeling afterwards. Just happy!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful Meal close to NY TheatreWe chose this restaurant because of its proximity to a Broadway show we were attending. We each chose different items on the Prix Fixe menu and found every course delightfully prepared and presented. The food was delicious and the portions were a good size.. The menu is not extensive and the preparations may not suit everyone's taste so check it out online first. I would definitely recommend La Silhouette to others.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAhhhhh....Lovely restaurant. Great food and discreet, gracious service. The amuse bouche croquette was stellar; the cilantro soup with toasted almonds, not so much. Delicious chicken and pistachio pate starter and wonderful skate with braised greens entree. Heavenly goat cheese cheesecake for dessert. And this was all prix fixe for $38.00!. Perfect place for a pre-theater meal. Run, don't walk! The staff was gracious enough to not only call me a cab for the theater, but also hold open the cab door for me, too!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMthoughtfully prepared foodthoughtfully prepared food and a lovely back room with huge skylight.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed dining experienceEnjoyed food very much! Got prix fix dinner: Husband had foie gras and risotto and I had salad and chicken. Both excellent! Also ordered mushroom appetizer, which was amazing! We sat outside and liked the privacy and ambiance. Service was great - very friendly and attentive.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed it and theWe really enjoyed it and the restaurant was very nice in meeting our needs; my husband is a leukemia survivor and walks with a walker. The restaurant, in addition to its excellent food & service, was nice enough to call a cab for us & told us when the cab arrived.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing in everywayThe restaurant is a gem in all of the craziness of Hells Kitchen. Its quiet, calm, and peaceful. The bartender was very friendly and Tito and Sally in the front made you feel like you were having dinner at their home. We were seated quite quickly in the sunken dining room. The service is some of the best I've had in New York City. They treated us like royalty.
Now, lets talk about the food. They have a changing seasonal menu and choice of different fresh breads. Amuse bouche from the kitchen came before appetizer (Pate- divine.) I had diver scallops with saffron risotto, my better half had the skate. We both cleaned our plate. Dessert- Panna cotta for him, Chocolate Bomb with dulce de leche sauce and sesame ice cream. I died. We'll be back5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food but CrowdedThe food was excellent as was the wine selection. Service was excellent. The only negative was that all patrons were crowded into one room for service while all other rooms remained empty. Maybe convenient for the servers but resulted in little privacy or intimacy for the diner.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOasis of quiet in Midtown!Recommended by our concierge, La Silhouette was a great choice for a pre-theater dinner. The host asked upon arrival if we were going to the theater. Service was attentive and unobtrusive and we were finished on time without feeling rushed. The three course fixed price menu was just what we wanted. The peace and quiet was like a breath of fresh air; La Silhouette was the quietest restaurant we ate at our whole week in Manhattan! We would definitely return.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMwarm, friendly, attentivewarm, friendly, attentive and welcoming staff! Delicious dining experience from starters to dessert and delightful cocktails and great wine selection a 4 star restaurant4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGood good. Decently pricedGood good. Decently priced pre-theatre prix fixe, compared to the rest of menu. The middle room was intermittently very loud.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful as always! Can'tWonderful as always! Can't wait to come back again.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMI had the dover scallops.I had the dover scallops. The miso broth was a little too salty.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-Theater Dining GemI hate eating in the theater district - overpriced, uncomfortable. However, La Silhouette was extraordinary. Close enough to walk to the play, but a true neighborhood restaurant. The food was beyond delicious, service was attentive, but not rushed. They managed our large party (6) without an issue. It was a true treat to have such an inventive and delicious French meal and then stroll over to see our show.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an early pre-concertWe had an early pre-concert dinner and it was uncrowded but picked up before we left, so service was very attentive. Nice subdued lighting and classy decor. Feels like a well kept secret. Will go back for sure.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
