La Sen BistroLe Sen is fantastic! This was our second time at Le Sen and it was every bit as good as the first time. Highly recommend it. Our waiter was very patient with us as we were with friend whom we hadn't seen in a long time and he didn't push us to order and eat and leave.... The food is fabulous. The crab cakes were very crispy on the outside and very flavorful!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice and personable services,Very nice and personable services, except we switched our reservation in last min and ended up waiting for little while. Very friendly service. came around to check on us at the right moment, food was exquisite! My friend got her happy birthday song in French! We'll be back for sure4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first visit here. SuperbOur first visit here. Superb salmon filet, apparently poached, with an excellent light sauce. Wife's duck was also superb, although slighly sweet for her taste (but not mine). The pre-dinner bread came with a sauce that was a dijon mustard based pesto with apple vinegard, cilantro, and lemon. Exquisite! Final tab with a 15% tip was $80 including my wife's glass of wine, two coffees, and my wife's cream puff-like desert. Had the waiter remembered to have the dressing on the side for my salad it would have been a perfect 10 meal. For the price, it still was. We have eaten at hundreds of restaurants, a good many with much higher prices than this restaurant. I compare this place to the Pearl Cafe in Missoula, MT. Great & under the radar4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGlad that we have a decentGlad that we have a decent French restaurant back in town.
Bread was fresh with an excellent dip.
Lamb chops were excellent.
Was disappointed they did not have escargot. I lived in French
Canada for 3 years and all the restaurants featured escargot.
Will return to this placd3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was really excellent,Food was really excellent, as was the service. The restaurant isn't terribly fancy, but is is nicely decorated and not too cramped.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMTwo entrees excellent: musselsTwo entrees excellent: mussels and lamb chops. Service timely and attentive. Bread with meal pared with intersting and pleasant spread of a blend of oil, cilantro and other green adds. Suggested red wine suited the lamb entree. Spent an enjoyable few minutes discussing the restaurant with the Basque cook-will search him out on a subsequent visit. This is a little gem and will be this area's bistro since Left Bank closed in Pleasant Hill.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThey were out of escargot! They were out of escargot! But, other than that, the food was very nice and the restaurant is lovely. Two entrees came at the same time; one came about 5 min. later which was a little odd. We will go back!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
