The food was very good. However, the drinks contained entirely too much ice. The amount of ice in the drinks made the cost a bad investment. I had too wait too much time to receive our drinks from the bar. For this reason alone we'll probably never return.

I liked the atmosphere, the margaritas were not bad, the guacomole was very good. I would recommend the happy hour but not the regular food. Ours was so so. We had 5 diners and 5 different things, nothing was outstanding for sure.

The La Sandia off of I-70 provided a lot more guacamole for the price. The one in Lone Tree really skimped on that for the extra $10.95 charge. The food was equally good at both locations.

We've eaten here several times and at other Sandoval restaurants all favorable. For whatever reason this last time was mediocre at best. The carne asada was good, but the 3 other entrees were bad. The carnitas tacos meat was dried out as were the chicken tinga tacos. And the shrimp enchiladas flavorless. Service was very average - not good or bad.

La Sandia Lone Tree is TERRIBLE. We ALL had stomach aches for 2 days...the view is awesome from the deck, the food is HORRENDOUS. Guacamole had NO taste, tortillas are STALE, wrong food brought out, "tacos" are not crisp, they are stale corn tortillas. Will NOT be going back to this location. La Sandia Stapleton is fabulous...will only be going to that location from now on...

My wife and I went to La Sandia for date night. The service was okay and the food was okay. Nothing super to write home about but not terrible, either. The chips and guacamole were great. The food was hot when it came out. I wouldn't order my meal again (chili rellenos, tamale and chicken enchilada).

My wife and I had some co-workers in town from out of state and decided this would be a fun place to go for dinner. Other than being a little loud, the energy was good and the good was excellent as expected. We will continue to bring people here for tequila flights and modern Mexican cuisine.

This was our first visit to this restaurant (Sunday, 8/31 at 7 pm), and my husband and I are big fans of Mexican food. However, it took nearly 15 minutes before a waiter came to our table. We ordered guacamole as an appetizer, which the waiter prepares at the table. However, he had a difficult time because as he said - the avocados weren't very ripe. When we received our food, my grilled tacos were cold. I didn't bother to send it back because our waiter (Brian) was busy with other tables (although the inside of the restaurant wasn't that busy). There were four of us for dinner; 3 of us had one cocktail and 1 had 2 beers, and our tab was $100, $120 w/tip! Drinks were about $10! Very pricey for average food. Won't be returning there.

My wife and I went to this restaurant to try it out, we've never had good luck with service in any of the Park Meadows area restaurants, and that trend held up here. The service was very slow and inattentive, we got the wrong drinks each time we ordered a drink. They use the method of having someone other than your server deliver food and drinks so they don't know what they should have been. Also the drinks all have Spanish names that the servers can't pronounce so you're not even sure if you got the right stuff. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about, it all came out cold (even the fajitas). We will be sticking with Hacienda Colorado for our Mexican food in the Lone Tree area.

We went for a birthday (and included this info in our reservation) and requested to sit upstairs. We had reservations at 6 pm and when we arrived we were told it was an hour wait for upstairs. Our waiter wasn't great. He didn't get refills, offer more Margs or dessert and no mention of the birthday. The margaritas were below average, but the food was really good.

Love this restaurant! This food is always high-quality, delicious, and artfully served. I love any of the "chili-fest" main dishes, as well as the fresh guac, salsa, refried black beans, and soups. Every item I've ever ordered is delicious. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, making it a great place to relax for either lunch or dinner during a day of power shopping at Park Meadows!

We have always gone to La Sandia for their scrumptious huitlacoche soup, totally delicious beyond description. Then a few years back the huitlacoche was removed from the soup and it was just called something like "corn soup". Not as good but still delicious. When we went the other night, it was off the menu altogether! It was the one thing that really made us pick La Sandia over other Mexican/Southwest cuisine restaurants. We're happy to see that at least the corn soup has remained on the downtown Tamayo Restaurant (part of this organization). But with that item gone, we're likely to go to La Sandia very much any more. Fine food for the most part, and good to go to if you're in the neighborhood.

I made reservations through Open Table for six of us (including one child). The staff were friendly, our server was attentive and customer-centric, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was definitely on the loud (although fun) side - I had to strain to hear people across the table from me (and I'm not hard-of-hearing). The manager (Mike?) came over to introduce himself, and overall, we had a good dinner. The price was also reasonable - our bill was less than $75 for five adults and one child. I would absolutely return here!

If you don't want to battle to hear the conversation, ask to sit in the back of the restaurant. We were seated near the front windows in the bar area at a small 2 person table. Conversation required us to lean in to the center of our small table. Skip the table side guacamole. We ordered the medium level of spice and it was pretty bland. Additional salt helped but it needed more onion and some minced peppers. Steak tacos and lettuce wrap chicken tacos were very good. The side of smokey salsa with the steak tacos was perfect.

We love La Sandia. Its our go to Mexican restaurant in south Denver. We always take out of town guests. Originally from California, the food reminds me of the fresh Mexican restaurants out there. Not the smothered mess you usually get in Colorado. The margaritas are amazing, and the best around.

Very festive spot, but if you're looking for a place to converse, catch up and actually hear every word that your dining partner is saying, it's simply too noisy for that. However, this is the perfect venue for happy hour and/or a tasty dinner. I am hoping that the live bands on the open deck will come back during the summer months.

We used to love this place but now thinking it is no longer worth the drive. Table side guac should mean true table side preparation. What they did is bring a bowl with the ingredients already in it and show it to us and then mix it. It wasn't mixed up enough and we had no opportunity to ask for more of a particular ingredient - which is the only reason why you would want table side prep in the first place. I don't think there was any lime in it - which is my fave ingredient. They weren't busy at all so this seemed like plain laziness, and I was disappointed. The beef tacos were inedible - the meat was very tough. On the good side the veggies quesadillas were as good as always. Not sure I will be back here.
