La Rua takes its name from the Spanish term for the archway to European towns. Owner Mario Enero's background is European, but the cuisine at La Rua is truly international with the Pacific Northwest influencing the menu which is rich in seafood, steak and game.
Executive Chef R.D Stewart uses only local organic produce and ocean wise certified seafood.
La Rua's extensive wine list that has over 400 wines to choose from has been recognized by Wine Spectator with their Award of Excellence since 1995.
A warm Mediterranean decor links two distinct rooms; One with a view of the ski slopes and the other a cozy room that is enhanced by the surrounding mural. La Rua is proud to be recognized as one of the best mountain resort restaurants in North America and is one of the top 100 places to dine in Canada.

Public Transit: A free shuttle runs from Whistler Village to the base of Blackcomb. There is a bus stop located on Blackcomb way which is directly across from La Rua restaurant, located in the Chamois Hotel. Most major hotels also offer a free shuttle. Guests need to speak to their concierge to get further details.

Parking Details: La Rua has parking located in the Chamois hotel parking lot. Guests that wish to park need to see the Manager on duty for a parking pass.
Private Party Facilities: La Rua has two distinct rooms that can seat up to 70 people per room. If your group is smaller in size we have a semi private area of the restaurant that can seat 10 to 16 people. We also have a unique round table that can seat 8 to 12 guests it is also semi private tucked away in a corner of the restaurant.

Entertainment: La Rua's spectatcular views of Blackcomb Mountain and beautiful hand painted mural provide a unique backdrop to our world class cuisine. In house sommelier David Foran takes great pleasure in discussing wines with our guests and has an impressive selection of 400 varietals to choose from. Bar Manager Ted Low has been collecting wines for over 10 years an has comprised a diverse and interesting cellar that has been recognized by wine spectator with its Award of Excellance for 10 years.
