While that could have been a negative, the smaller dining room turned out to be a very cozy and intimate experience. The wait staff was knowledgable, attentive and friendly. This was our first visit to LaPoste and we had a very positive experience. This was a birthday celebration for my wife and everyone at LaPoste made the evening special. Based on our total experience, we highly recommend LaPoste."

Our watiress was friendly and helpful, the hostess was engaging and friendly and the manager I met in the unique little wine room was engaging and a pleasure to have met.   • "Hidden right off of Ludlow is La Poste. An upscale, yet relaxed atmosphere where I at first thought I was underdressed (with denim and sandals. Then quickly realized the hostesses and bartender were in denim too. Each dish was bursting with creativity in presentation and flavor pairings. I've never seen a restaurant offer a new preparations style on fois gras each day. It was fabulous and I had the pleasure of sharing with someone who had never had it before & loved it. Our server, Andrew, was extremely on point with his timing, recommendations and balance of fun/ professionalism. So glad I found this, have already recommended it and can't wait to return."

  • "La Poste is one of our favorite restaurants - we have eaten there many times, but this dinner was particularly good. We were dining with our three adult children who live in NYC and Atlanta, and they agreed that it was really an impressive meal. Between the five of us, we enjoyed mushroom soup, scallops, pear salad, duck cassoulet, pork loin, salmon, and the steak special. Everything was delicious. For us, La Poste is up there at the top with our other favorite restaurants, Boca, Sotto, and Jean-Robert's Table. This night, service was a little slow with the full dining room, but I would rather have the service a little slow than rushed. A great evening."

  • "We had a great experience overall. The hostesses were genuinely friendly. We met the chef who was friendly though busy. Our waiter, Nick, did a very good job and was enthusiastic about the menu. Our only comment: please give the prices for the specials that are not on the menu. I tried the foie gras and it was excellent. I didn't know that it was to be so pricey though and would have appreciated it if Nick had mentioned the price. The salmon was very good but again the price was a surprise. We still tipped at the 20% level but maybe instead of calling the non-menu offerings "special", call them "features." That will encourage we the patrons to ask for the price if it isn't offered. Thanks!"

  • "We have always wanted to like La Poste more than we do. This time, we both found our entrees too salty. My cod was not the best quality fish. The salads were fine. We find this place also suffers from the recent trend of throwing bacon, prosciutto, etc. in many dishes, this eliminating them as choices for us, as we do not eat mammals. the service was pleasing, and it is close to the Esquire, which is a big plus."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at LaPoste. Our friends had given us a $75 gift card--I'm sure in hopes it would cover our meal--and it did not, but it made the final bill much more manageable. Our salads were excellent. I'd really recommend the roasted crimson pear salad, and my husband enjoyed the hearts of palm salad, too. My entrée was the mushroom ravioli, and I found myself wondering if I could call in an order to go and pick it up eat at home sometime. It was wonderful! We were trying to made a movie and didn't have time for dessert, but the meal and wine were excellent. Can't wait for a special occasion to return."

  • "It was a good date night option. We had foie gras and sweetbread salad. The former was the best dish we had all night and the latter was pretty good. Main course we had the mushroom ravioli and the cod. The ravioli was excellent and the cod was ok. For dessert we had the bread pudding and it was pretty good. I wish it would have had one more scoop of ice cream. The service was great. The wine choices were good. Valet was a plus with all the snow we've been have. We had a good experience."

  • "We ate at La Poste on a Tuesday night when it was not very busy. The servers seemed more interested in themselves than in us. We ordered soup that never came and other little things showed an inattentiveness (e.g., when we ordered coffee they asked if we wanted cream and sugar but then never brought a spoon). The food was very good, so if the wait staff pays closer attention to their customers, I would be able to give it a higher rating."

  • "One of the best meals I have hadin Cincinnati! The food was artfully and carefully prepared, not to mention, delicious! All the wait staff were on point and it was obvious, no matter the duty they were performing, that they cared about their job and the service they were delivering. The manager was visable without being intrusive. Our waiter, Andrew, was outstanding. Ge made our meal perfect by suggesting pairings of food and by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The restaurant is very noisy, but it is worth tolerating. My husband and I had the lobster bouillabaisse, pork belly salad, scallop salad and the ribeye. All were outstanding!"
