Diner Reviews
  • "My husband has now ordered the duck breast 4 times in a row and always spectacular. I love veggies and fish! A must to visit here!"

  • "We all ordered different dinner options...all were good. Service was a little slow getting our dinners out. Nice menu variety. The restaurant was not very busy, so the noise level was ok."

  • "Great food. Noisy inside, but quiet in the patio room."

  • "Lunch was great. Reasonable priced lunch classics from Croc's to salads to grilled foods. Owner/servers give this place a real thumbs up in my book, Been several times in the past and has never disappointed."

  • "Le Petite Maison was friendly and provided authentic bistro food. The snails were a standout."

  • "We were looking for a french bistro and so we tried La Petite Maison. Both of our entrees were dry and overcooked. We both had specials -- my husband's duck was so dry it looked like it had been cooked and reheated. I ordered red snapper, which was much better but a little dry. The appetizers were very good. Escargot and smoked salmon. I'm hoping we were just there on an off night because the menu looks great and the place was packed!"

  • "This is one of the best meals I have had in Atlanta. Everyone at our table (a group of 4) loved their meal. From the salads to the dessert, it was all delicious. I cannot wait for a chance to go again."

  • "For the price and quality, this restaurant is hard to beat. Wine selection is limited (as it should be in a bistro) but very well chosen and will not disappoint."

  • "Our group of girls has celebrated many birthdays here -- and the food and service is always impeccible. I always feel I'm in Paris!"

  • "I enjoyed the menu options, especially some of the more rare finds like frog legs and escargot. Food was ok quality, both mine and my date's meals were somewhat bland and required salt to taste. The most notable problem was the service, or lack thereof. The staff was kind, they were terribly slow. I was sat within minutes of my reservation time, but after that we waited for 45 minutes before we were even acknowledged with a drink order. This was after I attempted to flag down staff, I was finally forced to approach and ask that we be helped. After placing a drink order, it was another 15-20 minute before they arrived and they were the wrong drinks. I should have taken that as a sign, 1 hour of sitting before a food order was even taken."

  • "I would return for the French onion soup and salad, but the main course was frozen fish - not tasty at all!"

  • "La Petite Maison is simply the best! The food is fantastic, and the service even better. On our most recent visit, we were a party of seven. Each of us was more than impressed with the salads, entrees and the desserts. Our evening could not have been better."

  • "I went to La Petite Maison based on a desire to try something new and the reviews on Open Table. The wine list was fine for me but a connoisseur may find it bit lacking. Dinner, however was amazing. We got the swordfish in a lemon butter and capper sauce and the fillet with pepper corn sauce. We shared both entries because we both loved each others dinners as much as our own and the chocolate pear tart for dessert. The tart comes out as a thin cake with large pear sections on and varies sides of toppings: fresh whipped cream, caramel and sour cream. Sounds weird, but the sour cream was the best accompaniment. It was outrageously good. Enjoy!"

  • "We landed in Atlanta, and needed a nearby dinner to our hotel. OT guided us to this restaurant... it was nice. I had a salad and steak, a tasty and solid dinner."

  • "The lunch selections are varied with appetizing specials available. The quiche was an individual size which was a more than adequate portion. The flavors of the spinach and goat cheese complimented each other to make a rich quiche. My friend ordered the beef carpaccio and really enjoyed it. The shaved parmesan and the dressing on the salad were delicious. The cappucino was very nice, also."

  • "We have passed by La Petite Maison several times and wanted to stop. Our schedule opened up and we made a reservation. We enjoyed the entire experience. From start to finsh everything was excellent the service, the people, the wine, the food, the location, the ambiance all well exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this top notch restaurant to anyone."

  • "Exceptional food-duck breast, & duck breast medallions were fabulous! Duck breast was so good that my husband wanted to come back 3 days later and get it again! The French wines were an area I was not knowledgeable about so Stephanie checked with her uncle, the bartender , and they brought me an excellent one to drink. I loved it and ordered it again on my next visit. Worth a drive if you are ITP like we are and bring along friends. You won't go wrong in picking this spot!"

  • "My husband and I chose La Petite Maison for our first date after our wedding. We could not have made a better choice. The Filet Mignon with Gratin Dauphinois was perfect. My husband is still raving about it, and the TarteTatin as well as the Crème Brûlée were fantastic. The owner suggested the perfect wine for our menu, and I must say the tapenade and olives were a hit too. Service was impeccable as well. We also got the best table in the house. We will definitely go back!!"

  • "I went here with my wife for Valentine's Day. Our meals were very good, but I think the kitchen might have forgotten about us. It took about 30-40 minutes after we ordered for our food to come out. I do understand it was Valentine's Day, and the kitchen may have been busier than normal, but there were other couples that arrived after us, ordered, ate, and ordered dessert before we even got our main course. We did not order an appetizer. Since everyone else seemed to get better service, I would still recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere and food were great."

  • "We live in Sandy Springs and this place was our favorite but not anymore...the duck was awesome but when I told the owner about our scallops being overcooked she said "So sorry to hear" and walked away. And guess what???? She was our waitress and that says it all. We will not be back!"

  • "This is a great French Restaurant. The bread was just like being in Paris. The Salmon with Pesto was the best I've ever tasted. My husband had steak and he loved it. We both cleaned our plates and had a wonderful apple tart dessert. We will go back again, soon I hope."

  • "Great food service excellent the tiramisu was out of this world! The presentation of all dishes was very nice. I had shrimp/scallops on rissioto . Delicious and generous portions. The noise level is ok but still somewhat hard to talk. Could be we were seated near front door. Waitress was a little slow bringing the bill. Overall I will definitely recommend for French Food and ambience! We will go back!"

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food and presentation is always excellent. Customers are treated like family and I'm yet to have a guest who was disappointed with what they ordered. Don't miss it, a family owned gem that is about as close to being in Nice as you will get. Jack"

  • "We arrived and met friends who were already seated. Sat out on the heated porch which was not as desirable in the winter months. Took forever to get our drinks ordered and equally as long to order food and receive the food . The salads are large and we shared one with tomatoes and cheeses and avocado which was tasty. I had the roasted duck which was very good and plentiful that I took some home. The apple tartin for dessert was pretty good. I am willing to go back because the menu had other net resting items and see if the service improves."

  • "We took friends out for their birthdays Saturday night. I NEVER order fish in a restaurant, but after tasting my husbands salmon last time we dined there, I ordered the salmon this time. It was absolutely wonderful. The others ordered Tuna, and one Veal dish. They were very happy with their orders. The service was impeccable as usual. We love to dine there on special occasions and sometime just because. Have never been disappointed in the food or service. It is truly a neighborhood Gem. Our friends said they would return there to enjoy dinning again."

  • "Excellent French cuisine and service! Would recommend sitting inside the restaurant instead of the patio because of road noise."

  • "This was my second visit to La Petite Maison. Both times, I was very pleased with the Mojito that I ordered. The flavor and strength was perfect. The chef's special of large shrimp and scallops with rice was outstanding. Everyone at our table was thoroughly pleased with their selections. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

  • "We enjoyed dinner with a few friends on a recent Saturday night. Reservations are an essential, and ours was ready and we were seated promptly. The wine list, while not extensive, was interesting and the prices about average. The service was moderate, not terribly slow for a full restaurant and very friendly. The food was very nicely presented;and, for the most part it met expectations. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare, one of the three was the other two were medium. This is a good neighborhood restaurant if you're looking for authentic French bistro cuisine. We enjoyed it and will return de temps en temp."

  • "We came here for the first time for a family birthday. We were a large party and everyone had at least one question about the menu or wine list. The service was wonderful. The staff was extremely attentive and informative. The food and wine were fantastic. We left very satisfied and happy. We will definitely be back."

  • "I've being to La Petite Maison several times before and the food was always very good. Same this time. I have taken a lot of people there to eat and suggested the place to friends. NEVER AGAIN! This past Saturday I went there to celebrate my birthday and was hummiliated by the owner in front of my guests. Some of my guests were late and she said she hoped, giving me the evil eye, that they would come. She said she refused several tables because of me. My reservation was for 8 p.m. and all my guests were there by 9 p.m. Even if everybody was there at 8, we wouldn't be done before 10 anyways (when the restaurant closes). She mistreated my guests, was rude all the time and we just didn't leave because we were all hungry. NEVER AGAIN."

  • "Our little group of five French travelers met for a reunion lunch. The staff was very accommodating and attentive, especially Aline, one of the owners. She's from Nice and indulged our reminiscences of her beautiful France. All the ladies loved their menu choices and would definitely return."
