  • "A favorite restaurant of ours for years with a prix fixe menu that is a good value- with an accompanying wine flight that nicely pairs a wine with each course . But in the last year or so, we felt that the food was spotty at times - a prix fixe meal in which the courses that were chosen were all a bit on the salty side and it was hard to find some of the ingredients stated on the menu! On a recent visit, the waitress was new and even though it was later on a Monday night , she was a bit off and so a dinner to celebrate a graduation was not as good as expected. Though the monkfish was good, the portion was very small. But, overall it is one of the best restaurants and the menu satisfying and creative. It can be noisy when busy."

She is a good guide through the menu. Attentive and warm, she also makes a good drink. I love La Morra, best when I am at the bar."

  • "We have been to LaMorra many times and never had a bad meal. This night, my husband had herb crusted veal that he said out of this world. We started our sharing a pan fried soft shell crab with a celery salad that was also delicious. There are always wonderful specials to choose from so we just keep going back. So lucky to have this restaurant in the neighborhood!"

  • "We were celebrating a college graduation, and had a perfect experience. The food was fabulous and served at such a comfortable pace. The waitstaff was warm and watchful, making sure that everything was fine without being solicitous. The menu choices were interesting, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was lively in the restaurant, but it felt intimate at the same time. A great time was had by all."

  • "HERS:: The Tuscan meatballs w/porcini and prosciutto were too overwhemed by pepper; the fried mozzarella & anchovy sandwich was good but lacked the anchovy accent; the risotto w/wild mushrooms was nicely rich and flavorful; the mascarpone cheesecake w/lemon yuzu curd was excellent. MINE: the risotto w/razor clams, fresh herbs & lemon zest had mostly tender clams & modestly flavored risotto,pretty good; the wood-grilled, brick-splayed cornish hen w/ smoked vidalia onions, gigante bean ragu & rosemary carrots was generally beautifully executed but was a tad too salty; the Arneis white was nicely appropriate, though underchilled. Both of us loved the on-the-house sage polenta with parmesan. Service was very friendly, slower than desirable."

The only downside is that its on the eastbound side of route 9, so parking is harder, but they do have valet parking."

  • "Booked this place on Easter Sunday because it had a lot of availability without any expectations, but was pleasantly surprised to find a vibrant, rustic restaurant. I had the veal which was cooked to perfection, and the other 3 in my party ordered pasta dishes which lived up to expectations. I would definitely suggest ordering full plates (you can order halves). 2 people in my party ordered halves and were still hungry. Understandable because it was very busy and a holiday, but the service was a bit slow. We didn't mind, but I was surprised by the wait for the initial menus and the wait between apps and entrees. Nevertheless, I will definitely come back, and I hear they change the menu frequently, so I would love to try more from them!"
