"A totally memorable dining experience!! Our party of four sampled ten plates and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. All dishes were delicious and the variety of offerings presented something for everyone's taste."

"Food was fantastic as always! Service was outstanding as well. We were in a bit of a rush with theater tickets, so we let our waitress know we were in a hurry. Our dishes were lightening fast, but without any cost to quality or service. a definite recommendation for any occasion."

"I enjoyed my time at La Merenda, though I would have ordered differently. The cheese plate was decent, as were the truffled potato skins. We ordered one of the nightly specials: a dish wish scallops, chorizo, mushrooms, and grits, and it was the best thing we ordered. The sautéed spinach was nothing noteworthy.

The atmosphere was open, different than I had expected. I would come back to La Merenda for a special occasion and just order 2-3 of the more substantial dishes."

"The food was excellent as usual! The only negatives were the extreme noisiness of the restaurant and that it is very poorly lit, and the waitress did not seem to have a very good knowledge of the menu whatsoever."

"The menu is extremely varied and thoughtful. Real, thoroughgoing focus on local, sustainable ingredients and humanely raised meats (not just the token gestures one too often sees these days). Small plates are the ideal vehicle for this menu: a couple can share, say, six plates, and thereby get a real sense of the chef's range in just one night (even six is not enough, though: we'll have to go back a couple more times to try all the things we wanted to try).

Beer selection is impressive--and reasonably priced ($3.50 a bottle for local microbrews). Wine list also features reasonable pricing (Mondays offer half-priced bottles); it's not sprawling, it lacks superstars (which fits the casual vibe), but it's varied internationally, like the me"

"This was our first visit to La Merenda but the other couple we were with had been once before. We all enjoyed the tapas and atmosphere. The wide range of choices were fun to try. We cleaned every plate.The wait staff were pleasant and attentive. The coffee and dessert were very good too. We will be back."

"food was great, delicious stuff. Only thing I would change is to just have all the food items easily servable for four people. While a few times the overall portion of the dish was awesome, it was cut for like 3 people to eat.
Great food, great service. It was noisy in there, but I guess that means the place is just hip and cool. A little too loud, but not a deterrrent."
