A word from La Luce
Famed Napa Valley restaurateur Donna Scala has created one of Orlando’s hottest new restaurants with La Luce®, serving Italian favorites -- including homemade pasta, flatbread pizzas and dreamy regional specialties -- all inspired by traditional family recipes that have been perfected through the generations.

Orlando magazine food critic Joseph Hayes said La Luce (pronounced lah-looch-ay) has placed the hotel on “Orlando’s culinary map,” proclaiming it one of the city’s best new restaurants. And his enthusiasm didn’t center solely on its “tasty and quirky” (his words) regional Italian fare, either. He was equally impressed with the service: “it’s as crisp as the bed linens in the hotel upstairs,” he raved.

  • "After a day at the parks and fast food we wanted a nice dinner with some really good food. This is the place. The food was amazing. My wife had the pork chop and I had the steak. Both were melt in your mouth. My older daughter had the salmon and loved it. The kids had pizza and ravioli. Both were off the regular menu so we paid full price for the kids as well. There is not really a kids menu so for younger ones, unless they are used to being in a more elegant restaurant this is not the place for them. The restaurant was beautiful and comfortable and even though we were still in our park attire, we were very comfortable here. Prices are not cheap but also not ridiculously high. The quality of food was worth every penny."

  • "La Luce is the quintessential laid-back yet elegant dining experience - think coastal California, Napa - Italian flair. The food is exceptional; the service is impeccable; the view of the golf course, lakes, and (if you time it right) sunset is perfect. The menu has great standards (don't miss the duck ragu or the meatballs - in fact get the ragu and add a side of meatballs as our waiter wisely recommended). Nice wine list. Excellent dessert (trademark butterscotch pudding but even better is the homemade side of toffee)."

  • "It was my husbands birthday and I couldn't have chosen a better Place!! My friends who are doctors from out of town were also impressed with the ambiance as well as the food. We all had a wonderful time and are definitely going back. Valet Parking with no extra charge for parking. Great time!!"

  • "When we arrived at the restaurant , we almost left, as it was located inside of a Hilton Hotel, and I had my fill of hotel food . But, we were hungry, and the Open Table ratings did say the food was great, so we waited. A fifteen minute wait, which left me somewhat disgruntled, but our waiter, immediately turned things around. He guided us through the menu, and uncharacteristically didn't recommend the most expensive item on the menu. I can say that this was one of the best meals I ever had. The wine list was very good, and we thought prices were reasonable. The service, cuisine and wine came together for a memorable and outstanding experience. We look forward to returning soon."

  • "We found the sauces to be a bit too salty, though the rest of the food was excellent. The salty sauce issue was not just for pasta dishes but even the sauce for the Bistecca. We have eaten here several times before over the past 2 years, and there was not issue with the sauces...so it was either an off day for the saucier, or there is a different saucier in the kitchen. Service, as usual, was excellent, and the wine selection is of merit. Desserts are worth saving room for."

  • "Everything's a little different and everything is great. Even if you don't like olives, try the fried olive appetizer. The roasted chicken was probably the best we ever had and the Ricotta Gnocchi is melt in your mouth good."

  • "I brought my visiting granddaughter for special dinner to La Luce. The staff made us feel welcome & important. The food was described in such a way that we order extra as we couldn't decide on just two dinners. We were NOT disappointed! I miss my college girl & this evening helped us celebrate time together. I recommend this restaurant for any event. It promises exceptional food & service.."

  • "My wife and I had a very nice dinner at La Luce. I was at first put off when we arrived and I realized it was a hotel restaurant, but we went in, were greeted promptly and warmly, and led to a nice table. The service was very, very good. The waiter was knowledgeable about the wine list, made intelligent suggestions about entrees, and was very pleasant. She had the tiger shrimp special and I had the snapper special. Both were very good. I don't see us traveling that way again soon, but we are glad we found La Luce on Open Table."

  • "Simply great Italian and continental cuisine!! This restaurant is a MUST visit if you are staying at the Hilton Bonnett Creek or is certainly worth a special trip. You will not be disappointed. We dined there 3 of 4 nights and would have dined all 4 nights if we didn't have a character dinner booked at Disney. Every dish impressed including the pasta and meatballs(the best meatballs I've had and I'm from an Italian background), pork chop, steak, gnocchi, snapper, pizza, calamari and all the salads. The service matched the food. All in all you'd be hard pressed to find better food anywhere."

  • "A hidden gem in the maze of Orlando dining options...La Luce is the perfect Resturant to relax and enjoy an exceptional meal with friends, family & colleagues! Beautiful decor and ambiance packaged with great wine and the best selection of Italian dishes bar none!"

  • "My wife and I found La Luce during a brief trip to Orlando. We enjoyed outdoor dining on a perfect evening with excellent food (cannot endorse the pizza enough) and a great wine selection (a nice Orvietto). The only negative was the service, which started out well, but decayed as the evening continued. Our waiter would disappear for exceptionally long stretches. While this didn't matter during dinner, it did when we wanted dessert, and it really did when out desserts finally arrived and, by their appearance, had been sitting for some period of time (still exceptional, though). I had to seek out our waiter once and had to ask the assistance of another waiter on two other occasions."

  • "If you are vacationing in Orlando with the whole family, find a sitter and leave the kids at the hotel... I began my La Luce experience with the "Fritto Misto": calamari & rock shrimp, with greens beans, served with a spicy aioli. Great wine list though I chose to wash this appetizer down with the "Swamp Ape IPA" from the Florida Brewing Company. A healthy double IPA, if you like that sort of thing - intensely "hoppy" and bitter. Next was the "Risotto del Giorno" - made with sea scallops. Amazing! No room left for dessert, so I ended with a nice pour of Cynar. I absolutely love this artichoke-infused digestif! I had a very enjoyable time. You will too!"

  • "been here least 5-6 times in the last 2yrs. The food was as usual very good. Service is typically slow and was a bit slower and more detached this time. The waiter showed up twice during the meal. He was rushed and pushy. Asst waiter did a fair job but I was completely turned off by the fact the waiter never suggested a wine, never mentioned specials. Last time we were there the manager had my kids setup their pizza - add sauce, cheese etc. I had no plans to have them do this again but when my son asked the waiter if he could make his pizza he rudely said "you're not going to do that today". You will spend $50-60 per person (salad+entree+desert) before wine - the level of service did not measure up to this"

  • "Everything was amazing. The pizza we had as an appetizer was possibly the best we have ever had in Florida."

  • "with La Luce, though our first complaint. Food - Outstanding as always. Service - Impeccable. Atmosphere - Awful due to the number of "unruly" children though out the restaurant. Our reservations were for 9:15pm, and noting the amount of misbehaving children (and parents) in the hotel, we thought the later time for dinner might help. This was an anniversary dinner celebration for two. We sat at the bar with 12 year olds, dress code obviously lacking, and endured bread baskets on heads and drumming with forks through-out dinner. Not exactly what we'd hoped for at La Luce nor what we are accustomed to. We hope this information will encourage management at La Luce and Bonnet Creek to re-think their standards. Thank you!"

  • "We were hoping for a subdues, romantic, quality dinner - so we chose La Luce, having always had great experiences there. Valentine's was no exception. We got our favorite booth, which we had requested in advance, we weren't rushed; the food was excellent - particularly the Asparagus Saltimboca. The duck ragu was awesome, and they gladly substituted pappardelle for the garganelli. The waitstaff is always accommodating and very professional. Overall, the perfect evening!"

  • "La Luce is a staple - food, service, and atmosphere are consistently excellent. What's even better is that there are always new, featured specials as well as the classics. Lobster Risotto was excellent."

  • "My husband and I had a delicious dinner at La Luce. Stephan was a very attentive and responsive waiter. We had great martinis accompanied by fried olives and Marconi almonds. We enjoyed the beet salad and tricolore salads very much, but our entrees - lobster risotto for him and goat cheese heart shaped ravioli with an herbed butter sauce for me were the best. Absolutely delicious and decadent, yet somehow still delicate and light. We were so surprised by this Hilton hotel gem last year, and were happy to return again. Highly recommend."

  • "I had dinner at this place and I must say that the food and the service was impeccable. I cannot thank my waiter- Joseph who went above and beyond his capacity to get me some information. They are open late into the night and if you are looking for great food then definitely try La Luce. I know I am going back for more delicious food and great time."

  • "Our group consisting of four adults, a two year old and a 5 month old, we're in Orlando on business looking for a great restaurant. We found it. The food was absolutely superb. Not one of us didn't enjoy our meal enthusiastically. Our server Joe went over the top to meet our needs and was very accomodating. He made sure we were comfortable and felt at home despite being in a more elegant restaurant with small children. When I couldn't find a cocktail on the menu I liked he helped me make one up and had great suggestions for all of us. We'll definitely be back when we're down for our next seminar. Ps the beet salad, lamb meatballs and salmon are all amazing."

  • "We went here because we were tired after a day in orlando and the restaurant was in the hilton bonnet creed hotel where we were staying. The food was good, nothing out of this world. The service was also good. There is no kids menu per se, just a few "for the bambino" pizza options within the main menu, a little unusual for a hotel in orlando that caters to people going to Disney. I have no specific complaints but there are many other good restaurants in the area that I would probably go to before this one."

  • "Fabulous food and service. We chose this restaurant because it was one of few open on Christmas Day that didn't have $60 plus required buffet. We were surprised at the high quality of the food and everything else about our experience. If we ever return to Orlando, we will make sure to eat here again."
