My husband and I had dinner there recently, and had a very good experience. We were staying at a hotel in the area and attending (walking to) a concert, and so were able to enjoy the large (46-ounce) house margarita. The waiter warned us about the size when we ordered it, so those who are not aware can make an alternate choice if necessary. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh, and the salsa had a nice kick.
I think the food came more quickly than the drinks. Although it was delivered quickly, it did not taste like "fast food" or like it had been sitting in warming trays for hours. Thanks to Open Table we were able to jump the 45 minute wait and get a table right away! The atmosphere was great and the food even better. The only negative was that they were super busy and we didn't get a lot of waiter attention because of other large tables (we were only 2) but we were able to catch the other staff to help us with refills. The only complaint, was that my small group of friends were talking & picking at what left of ab appetizer plate. Our waiter and others kept asking us if we were finished. We said several times we were still eating it and about every 2-3 minutes someone would come by and ask if we were finished. Several times, it was our own waiter. Finally we said for them to just take it, just so we could continue our conversation. I get that they want to clear tables quickly and get the next group in, but we still had fresh margs and were still obviously eating. We moved, then I retired, and I hadn't been there for a couple of years. It has improved with age, and that's saying a lot. The service was very fast for as busy as they were and the food was amazing. The a large variety on the menu and all at a great price. A family atmosphere, a little crowded but to their credit the restaurant handled it very well. Also the wait staff were very good. The only negative for me was the staff going table to table singing happy birthday to guests.
