Lately we have been trying restaurants off of the Main tourist drag. ( Hanover Street ) The food is every bit as good, less expensive and the staff very friendly. La Galleria is one of the best places I have ever been in the North End. Service was great. The waitress was able to answer any questions I had for her regarding the food or the wine list. Our food came out in a decent amount of time with bread on the table to hold is over until it did. We never had to ask for anything as they were on top of everything. Very affordable for a family of 4 which included excellent salads, traditional Italian dishes including chicken or eggplant parm and various creative veal dishes. The staff is VERY HELPFUL, even allowed me to borrow a charger for my iPhone. The owner visited our table numerous times which was a nice touch.
