"Our experience at La Fourno was very good. Getting our table on time, even though we had a reservation, was a bit more stressful than I liked (we waited 15 minutes to be seated), but once we were seated the service was very good and the food was excellent. It's clear that this is a popular locals' spot, and no wonder. Be aware that they have a unique recipe for the cesar salad - it's different, but still delicious."

"Found this placing using a travelzoo certificate and was pleasantly surprised. Food and service was outstanding and the prices are very reasonable. I made reservations on Thursday for a Saturday night dinner and there were plenty of openings for any time slot. Tried calling on Saturday around 4 to move it up and there were unable to accommodate. But that's to be expected in the city on a Saturday night. Location is great, right in the middle of south street so makes a great night if you plan to have a drink afterwards."

"The upstairs room is warm, romantic, and filled with soft music. Our server, Rickie, was attentive, professional, and pleasant. Warm, delicious bread was served. The salad was fresh and crisp. An appetizer of three different types of bruchetta, including the traditional tomato, an eggplant,and a unique and goat cheese with blueberries was outstanding. It is easy to see why the veal parmigiana has been voted the best in Philly for six years. It was tender, and topped with a delicious sauce and served with linguine with garlic and olive oil. A delicious and original special the of the night was pasta shells stuffed with ricotta and crab. Cappucinno and canolli topped off a perfect meal. We will return to try other dishes on the menu."
