La Fontana SicilianaWonderful food , very sketchyWonderful food , very sketchy service. We were celebrating a special occasion, our waiter was very indifferent as to whether we were there or not.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSo Good! This is my me and my husband's favorite restaurant. Every single thing we have ever ordered is amazing and so authentic. We found it when we were in Washington house hunting before our move from California. We went there two nights in a row because we loved it so much the first night. We have now moved from Washington and we went there on our last night because we were so sad to leave it. We have our favorite dishes. We always get the bruschetta appetizer and I always get the mushroom risotto. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had, a million times over. I would highly recommend a romantic night in this charming restaurant!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Italian HideawayWe had never been to this restaurant before, but decided to try on a recent visit to Seattle. The restaurant is small and quaint within a secluded courtyard which doubles as its outside seating. The menu was not overly extensive but had a nice selection of appetizers, first and second courses. Everything we tried was wonderful and the dessert just topped things off.
The wait staff was knowledgable in both food and wine. The wine recommendation was excellent. The restaurant is is moderately pricedp , but certainly was well worth the money6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLove This RestaurantHave been here several times and it never disappoints. My husband and I love sitting outside- really feels like you are in Italy. The mushroom risotto was out of this world and the house chianti was perfect. Had the grilled eggplant appetizer- yum!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMTwenty Year FavoriteWe have enjoyed this fine Italian restaurant for almost twenty years. Mario has lead his team of professionals to become one of Seattle's best places for a romantic evening with sumptuous epicurean delights and wonderful wines. His deserts are very unique and including peach sorbet in a real peach....
La Fontana is a must for new places to try and keep coming back.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMRomantic and WonderfulAmazing food, great service, and exceptional ambience.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMLooking for a local Seattle gem?You will find it at this charming Bell Town treasure. I've been coming here for years and it never fails to impress. The setting is quant, the service attentive and the food delicious. I've never had the chance to enjoy the out door dining area (seems to always be raining when I decide to go), but the overall experience will surely impress.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFontastic!La Fontana Siciliana is the best Italian food in Seattle. And maybe anywhere. The service is amazing, and on weekends they've got a lovely woman playing piano. We've seriously never had a sub-par meal there.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMRepeat VisitorUpon entering La Fontana Siciliana, I found myself at home. With soft lights and music, I was able to dine comfortably. The courtyard was inviting and the staff relaxed and courteous. The other patrons were polite and behaved. My companion and I enjoyed the bruschetta for appetizers and the cannoli for dessert. I recommend the lamb with figs with their house cabernet sauvignon wine. I plan on coming back very soon.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBack in SicillyOld world charm...comfortable old shoe atmosphere....good food at reasonable prices....loved having the pianomplayer5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLa Fontana is Bellisima!Ive eaten here twice and had delicious, interesting, FRESH food. Where do they get those delicious strawberries? Understatedly elegant yet attentive service, everything unpretentious yet just right.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Italian FoodLa Fontana was recommended to me by a friend, so we decided to try it for my birthday. Having spent a lot of time in the Northeast, I've become a bit of an Italian food snob . Although there are some very good Italian restaurants on the west coast (I recall one in L.A., several in San Francisco, of course, and a couple in Seattle), La Fontana has the best Italian food west of New Jersey (I'd say west of the Hudson, but there are some pretty fine Italian eateries in New Jersey, needless to say).
The service is impeccable; the food, out of this world. Salads were dressed lightly to perfection; pasta and risotto were ideal, and the garlic bread perhaps the best I've ever had. This is our new go-to place for good Italian food.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMTucked away and romanticThis is a great restaurant with a definite European feel. The food is good, but not great. The service is lovely and so is the ambiance. I will definitely go back with the intent to try something new. I wasn't as courageous as I would have wanted to be with my food choices, however, I am sensing that other entree choices will be wonderful.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSitting at little Italian cafeYour restaurant reminded me of little Italian cafe. The courtyard created a romantic atmosphere with the flowers and lamps. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing and eating our delicious meals. We ordered the Risotto Marsala and Pollo Marsala which are regional specialities of Scilily. Your staff was pleasant and helpful - not too intrusive and very accommodating.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a lovely evening. TheWe had a lovely evening. The food was delicious; described well in advance by the solicitous, but not overly attentive, waiter. Portions are modest, so ordering an appetizer/salad, as we did, was nice. As was a shared dessert. The chef's choice red wine was good. All-in-all, very nice. We recommend and will go again.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food! Great service!Great food! Great service! Pricey for our budget. Total bill for 2 people was over $120.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI love, love, love this restaurant.I love, love, love this restaurant. The food is always delicious and authentic. The owner is so charming, we love that he visits all the diners. He even waits on tables!!!! We love the small rooms, so romantic. We can't wait to go back again.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visitThis was our second visit to the La Fontana. Both times the food has been exceptional. This visit we had the Baked Italian bread with a garlic and olive oil topping and Shared the special salad of the night which had 18 years old balsamic vinegar drizzled over it.
Both were superb.
My wife had the Agnello fichi & Marsala. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the figs were a perfect complement. I had the Cannelloni di Vitello, served with a tricolor sauce it was visually striking and quite tasty.
We finished up with Coffee (they have very good coffee) and dessert. I had their very yummy cheesecake, not overly sweet and very soft so as to melt in your mouth.
I highly recommend a visit.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have eaten here severalWe have eaten here several times and the quality of food and service have always been excellent.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe owner was at the restaurantThe owner was at the restaurant when we were there and he was extremely helpful with our food and wine selections. There are two dining areas so if you want to sit closer to the piano (at which someone was playing live music), request to be seated in the back. If you want a quieter dining experience, the front is better. We had a great time and will definitely go back.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a charming littleThis is a charming little Italian place. In the summer, the courtyard makes for romantic dining.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fantastic andThe food was fantastic and the location was in a nice area near the Waterfront and downtown. A very nice place for a romantic dinner!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI forgot how good La FontanaI forgot how good La Fontana was and I am thrilled to have had my memory refreshed. Our party of six ordered a variety of meals and everyone raved about the food. The service was prompt but not oppressive and the wine was perfectly matched. We spent almost three hours eating and chatting. Can't wait to come back.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was attentive,The service was attentive, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was charming.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
