The service is amazing, the food
is simply fantastic. The house drinks are outstanding!"

Great service and outstanding
food. This is my second time there. First time for lunch and second time for dinner. The food is unique and every bite is full flavor. Each dish made to order with care."

They are very nice folks; the menu
is vibrant & fun …..I've never had anything bad - in fact I've always had fab interesting & healthy food with the side of great service (but not intrusive at all)….wonderful combo!"

Way to loud after 7:00pm. Good
food. Nice atmosphere but you have to strain to hear a conversation at your table. I will not go again because of the noise. Lunch might be better."
Dined on 6/28/2014
The food was eclectic, interesting
and very good. Fun, fresh atmosphere. A little on the pricey side but we'll come back just can't be on the "regular" dining list. Very attentive staff - checked on us and was aware it was our first visit."
Dined on 6/27/2014
Excellent place to have a great
meal...good drinks and good service...."
Dined on 6/25/2014
Really good mexican seafood,
ceviches and drinks were really good. great service overall as I was running late and they were able to accommodate our group once we arrived to the restaurant. We definitely are going to return to taste Cochinita Pibil tacos and churros."
Dined on 6/21/2014
My boyfriend and I loved loved the
food at this restaurant. Very different and innovative."
Dined on 6/21/2014
Fantastic ceviches, and the
special red fish was terrific. Excellent service. Always a gem."

We dined here last night -
Thursday @7:30pm. The restaurant was about 60% filled so noise level was low for a Houston restaurant. The seafood was delicious - very fresh and perfectly prepared. My mojito was excellent. There was a disconnect on our order and we never received our appetizer but no blame - just a communication snafu. We had plenty of food so were actually glad it didn't come. Our waiter, however, brought us a complimentary desert anyway - although we told him it wasn't necessary. He did a great job explaining the menu and was very polite and pleasant. I liked the bright, colorful décor. TIP: There is a small outdoor seating area in the back that is nicely landscaped with palm and banana trees - nice!"

We LOVE La Fisheria! The flavors
are so fresh with many layers that simply make the food delicious. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Houston and we will be back many, many times."
Dined on 6/10/2014
The place is noises and bit
disorganized. The food was wonderful and our service was great."
Dined on 6/7/2014
Food was excellent. However, as we
were having our post-meal conversation, we were asked by or server if we could give up half of our table and squeeze into one so that they can give our table to another party. We said we're getting ready to leave anyway, but it wasn't even five minutes later when the hostess walked over to the area of our table. Even though she did not say a word, it was pretty obvious that they were trying to pressure us to leave. Note that our reservation was at 7pm and it was only 8:30 when all this started. And it's not like we did not order enough, because we ordered cocktails, appetizers, main entrees for each of us, plus dessert. Ten years in Houston, this is the first time we experienced this. VERY RUDE!!!"

Lunch here was fantastic! The
seafood was extremely fresh, the service was impeccable, the atmosphere was happy & fun, and the margaritas were very unique. We had the ceviche trio to start.....the CEVICHE ENCLAMATADO DE PESCADO Y CAMARON was the best ceviche I have ever had. The ceviche in lime was very good, but the ceviche w/ orange and tomatillo was a little bland compared to the other 2. Understand it was still great...just not mind-blowing. We had the fried oysters as well, and they were cripsy on the outside and so tender and juicy on the inside! We shared the taco combination trio....outstanding lobster & shrimp tacos!!! The Hibiscus and Summer margaritas were so refreshing with interesting flavor profiles! "
Dined on 6/4/2014
Creative and masterful Mexican
seafood dishes. I've never been anywhere like this place. The chips de pulpo and various ceviches are amazing starters. The taco trio is out of this mundo. The churros and dos (yes, dos!) leches are sublime. You can't go wrong at La Fisheria. Complex flavors and fresh ingredients in dishes presented like fine artwork. Great for lunch or late night dinner!"

We didn't know what to expect .
The good was Excellent ! The fish Extremely fresh , the GM came up and introduced himself to make sure all was excellent ! Very pricey but you get what you pay for, outstanding !!"
Dined on 5/24/2014
Brought a couple of buddies in for
lunch. Had the Aguachile, Crab Fingers and Ceviche Trio for starters. All were so delicious. Great pace to the meal as well. We all got lunch specials, all tacos. Now up until this point I was more than pleased with the experience but when I tucked into the Lobster taco my happy place had mariachis. There's a reason eater has this place on the E-38."

This place is amazing! I try to go
every other week. Portions are normal size, food is superfresh and the staff is very friendly. They are never in a rush to get you out. You can just enjoy a nice meal in a beautiful restaurant and stay as long as you want."
Dined on 5/22/2014
The mojitos are the best I've ever
had...so refreshing and delicious. The beet ravioli is unusual and delicious. The langostine and shrimp flatbread is amazing. Our first meal there was so delicious that we thought about it the rest of the week and went back again the next weekend. This is one of my new favorite restaurants."

I kept hearing great things about
La Fisheria, and found that they were all true. The food is creative without being too "out there", and it was all delicious. The margaritas we had (the cucumber-jalepeno, and the summer) were tasty and refreshing. And the service was great! Our waitress was attentive and helpful; the hostess was polite and quick; and the gentleman, whom I assume was a manager, was receptive and charming. The use of the former water garden as a porch is brilliant, and we enjoyed a perfect spring evening outside. It was a great experience. "

Delicious, creative Mexican
seafood. Looking forward to returning to try other menu items."

What a gem!!! We chose La
Fisheria for a family-night dinner based on a client recommendation. It was beyond spectacular. From the second we walked in, we were treated like family. Lots of hellos and smiles and waves. What a great welcome! The food is absolutely impeccable from textures to flavors to the freshest ingredients, not to mention beautiful colors and presentation. My husband and I have been to Mexico many times including Mexico City, Cancun, and Merida in the Yucatan and La Fisheria is as authentic as it gets! We will become regulars here! "

The food was fantastic. The staff
was extremely friendly, although at times we wished they would have come by a little more often. Nonetheless, I cannot wait to go back!"

Went in for lunch not knowing what
to expect. really cool ambiance, order taco trio, it was delicious! waiter suggested the octopus chips for next time. Don't skip churros for dessert, they are fresh made!"

This was our second visit at La
Fisheria. Since our last visits, they have modified their menu, but their food and margaritas were still fantastic. Our server Ana was also very attentive and friendly. We tried the ceviche trio which allowed us to try their best ceviches. The octopus on the chip were as good as the first time. The mussels were cooked with a good flavor though they were a bit small, probably not in season. The fried whole tilapia was my favorite and it had a kick to it. The fish of the day was fresh and grilled to perfection. We also tried the dos leches for dessert and it was not overly moist and tasted as good as tres leches. "

What a great find for my
celebratory group of four. We sat on the back patio and it was like being in a lovely coastal town, complete with palm trees and banana trees. Our server, Ana, an exquisitely beautiful Brazilian woman, was knowledgeable, helpful, and proactive. On her own, she even brought me a special non-alcoholic beverage when she noticed I wasn't ordering drinks. (It was made from hibiscus and delicious.) The food was beautifully prepared and presented and fit for foodies. Unusual items, each remarkable. The whole place is painted Caribbean blue and is so joyful, like being on the beach. Dress is casual even though it is a bit pricey.....but worth every penny. We will definitely be going back!"

Parking is a difficult situation
due to their location. The valet nearly had a vehicle towed. I would be upset if that was my car. My compliments to the manager for flying out there in response to the crises. The manager also checked our table to see if the food was okay. He was also dressed very dapper. The drinks were good. To be honest, i don't remember how the food was because this review was written well after. Sry people ;/"

This was my second visit. First
visit was shortly after the resto opened. Food was solid, but service was painfully slow (first visit service was slightly quicker, but food needed work). Service could be a real problem for those on their lunch break from work. "

We had a delightful meal at La
Fisheria with a couple of friends. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and personable and very knowledgeable. The patio was just perfect on one of Houston's beautiful spring nights. This was my first visit and I will certainly return. The huachinango was delicious."
Dined on 4/12/2014
Lovely hidden gem in Houston.
Front patio reminds you of being on vacation in some beach town. Back patio is great for dinning under the stars in a cozy ambience with Palm trees and soft lighting... You would never believe you are only a couple of minutes away from the busy 1-10...Food is excellent. Drinks are very cool, unique and refreshing. Definitely worth adding to your Houston's places to checkout list."
Dined on 4/10/2014
La Fisheria had great food, wines
and service. Unfortunately this was all spoiled by the noise level. If you are in a large group, you might not mind it, but we were just two and we could not hear each other. It is too bad that it was so loud. I would recommend for the food quality, but I will have to think twice about going back because of the loud noise level."
Dined on 3/22/2014
Unique dish using common
ingredients. Octopus nachos were great; the Red Snapper Ceviche is a MUST. Disappointed they didn't have a whole snapper dish on the menu, only Tilapia (bland) severed whole, did have a nice sauce. Snapper and enchilada dish was very good. The fried yucca root side dish is offered will all entrees, but I recommend you ask for it. Bread only, no chips. Potent margaritas. Small venue, but nicely done. Parking is not customer friendly; valet parking is required, no self-park offered; only self-park is on the street. Friendly staff and manager. Prices are a bit on the high-side relative to other Mexican Seafood restaurants, but venue is more upscale."

What a gem! Not to be
missed-amazing food, wonderful cocktails, and superb staff. We are very lucky they picked Houston so don't miss it."
Dined on 3/14/2014
Try the trio de ceviche -- fresh,
fresh, fresh! Also, Pescado & enchiladas rojas (redfish) and the fresh fish pibil (snapper - thick!) were delicious -- fresh, not overwhelms w/ sauce or seasoning. Assistant Manager Ana was our server and knows the menu inside and out. Professional and informative service all the way around. Lovely, cheerful décor as well! Definitely will be back."
Dined on 3/8/2014
A true treasure in the Heights.
Lovely touch Of Cabo in Houston! The black bean soup is sublime, and the fish entrees are fresh & zippy. A must go for any foodie & bring friends from out of town. They will be dazzled."
Dined on 3/1/2014
Truly a delightful experience.
Breaded oysters were very well complimented by the sauce, which enhance, not overwhelmed, their freshness. The presentation on shells was appealing and inviting; not crowded. The crab croquets served with breaded asparagus and shallots, were delicately flavored allowing the natural taste to come through. I had the Flounder with a tasteful seasoning, reminiscent of a seaside Caribbean meal. The fish texture was perfectly cooked, and served with fresh vegetables. The dessert went harmoniously with a cup of Expresso and Cognac. Our compliments..."

Glad we tried it. Lot of buzz from
our friends. Tried it at lunch. Very quite. Too expensive for lunch on you own. Need a lunch menu"
