Sparkling French Mediterranean cuisine is presented in a chic, two-level restaurant situated beach and poolside, with sweeping views of the ocean and great sunset vistas.

Inspired by the lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur, the ambiance is both laid-back and lively. Enjoy the unspoiled, simple dishes of the South of France - tapas-style starters of seared Haloumi cheese, raw bar selections, a signature salad of octopus confit, vegetable pissaladiere, lobster thermidor and hanger steak fresh off a sizzling grill. Addictive desserts and fashionable cocktails round out the experience.

To complement our wine list, there is a $30 corkage fee (per 750 ML) for two bottles and $70 for any additional bottle (per 750 ML).

  • "even though it was rainy the day we had lunch here. So instead of sitting at a table they suggested the bar which was fine with us. The food was very good. The vegetable flatbread was amazing. We enjoyed a couple glasses of rose champagne and our server Charles was very nice. Would love to do it again on a sunny day!"

  • "We booked well in advance, but when we arrived there was only one available table in FULL sun on a 93 degree day. Upstairs was closed although the restaurant looked filled to capacity. We insisted on being moved and had to wait 30 minutes for staff to, reluctantly, set up a table in the shade with umbrellas. Then another 30 minutes waiting to order drinks. Service is pretty much non-existent. The food was excellent - but everything seemed to take soooo long. One of the perils of automatic gratuities - we would never have normally left a $77 tip for such bad service. Cocktails at $16-$18 in plastic cups - blah. Overall a fun place for casual lunch but expect to spend the entire afternoon waiting and trying to catch a waiter's eye."

  • "We ate at La Cote for lunch while staying at Fontainebleau. The food was great and the location is beautiful. You could come in casual off a day at the beach like we did or go there for a nice lunch/dinner. Service was painfully slow, but we think that's due to our particular waiter and was not reflective of the entire staff. Refreshing our drinks was always long overdue, he never checked in after our food was delivered, and there was another 10 minute wait for him to run my card while paying. We were still pleased with the food/location/atmosphere so the good outweighed the bad. I'll return and am willing to bet we'll have a better experience."

  • "This is not a destination restaurant. This is a 'jump out of the pool' to grab a bite (expensive bite) to eat. Or meet someone for lunch, or have an early sunset dinner (2nd floor is best for views). We made quick reservations without really researching the restaurant, the reviews were mostly positive, we weren't staying at the Fontainebleau and wanted to see the property. So for us, it was not a good choice. They served dinner wine - expensive - in plastic wine glasses, which is really sub-par, and would not accommodate our request for glass stemware. Dinner was just okay, expensive for what it was. Gratuity automatically included, even on cost of wine, which is excessive. So, we won't return, but if you're a guest there, may be ok."

  • "Enjoyed lunch here in May 2014. If possible, make a reservation & ask to be seated on the 2nd level, from which you will enjoy beach views. This restaurant sits between the vibrant Fontainebleu pool scene, with its accompanying loud musical beach, & the boardwalk. A bit pricey, but the food was very good as was the service."

  • "This restaurant is at the back of the Fontainebleau pool area adjacent to the Boardwalk (there is foliage so you cannot actually see people walking past on the walk). It was a nice casual meal with good service and good food. Because it's a pool area, the wine glasses are plastic. Cool lighted menus. It's an open kitchen so you can see the cooking happening. Nice break from the fine dining restaurants inside the hotel."

  • "Just to be at The Iconic Fountainbleu is an experience in itself for a "true" Native Floridian, but to also sit poolside for a glass of wine and a delicious lobster roll, made it even better. We were seated at a table on the second floor inside a cabana-like table which also overlooked the ocean. Our waiter was also responsible for making our experience a great one!"

  • "I used to love this place and have had good experiences in the past however was pretty disappointed this time. The server made several mistakes with the orders, there was a hair in one of the dishes, and he brought the beer can placed in the cup he poured it in (definitely not sanitary).. If this is what they're doing in front of the customers id hate to even imagine what's happening behind the scenes. I won't return, it's unfortunate because it's a good ambiance but in Miami there's no shortage of those so not a big loss."

Our appetizer, grilled vegetables for 4 was inadequate and we asked for additional pita we never got more, we had four small triangles. This cost 26$. We ordered sparkling water, asked for an additional bottle which arrived end of meal. One of us did not get what we ordered grouper instead of snapper but decided not to chance sending it back given the poor service.. We were charged for three bottles of perrier though we only had two and notwithstanding the new law concerning tips our bill included a service charge of 20%. We had a special guest and did not want to bring this up when the bill arrived. We paid and don't expect to return."

  • "My wife and I were excited for our first visit to Fountainebleau, the hotel was beautiful, the ambience, the nightlife, the people. The first impression was this place is back in the cut, there is no formal way to get to the restaurant, The food of course was pricey being a nice upscale bar/restaurant, however the meals were not good at all. I ordered the Surf and Turf and to my surprise only had two pieces of shrimp that were badly over cooked along with my 5 little piece medallion steak. The steak was overcooked . My fiance ordered the half chicken, this thing was like the size of my palm. The food was in small portions, overcooked and not very warm. First and last time here!!"

  • "I was amazingly impressed and speechless at the friendly well organized and most beautiful restaurant i have ever been. I loved everything from the minute we walked in into the time we left. Total perfection on Valentines day they even thought of small details of making a woman feel special with the touch of a red rose on the table. The Bleu moon special was also a nice touch for couples to make this an affordable experience. I would recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back hopefully for more than just dinner."

The restaurant tried to seat me at the outdoor seating area which was filled with tourists, kids, and people in bathing suits - clearly NOT a Valentines atmosphere. They offered to seat me on the beach in two hours for $500, which was NOT what I made reservations for. Neither the restaurant nor the hotel even tried to accommodate me despite the fact that they screwed up my reservations! I wouldn't go back to the hotel or restaurant for any reason - ever."
