Inspired by the lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur, the ambiance is both laid-back and lively. Enjoy the unspoiled, simple dishes of the South of France - tapas-style starters of seared Haloumi cheese, raw bar selections, a signature salad of octopus confit, vegetable pissaladiere, lobster thermidor and hanger steak fresh off a sizzling grill. Addictive desserts and fashionable cocktails round out the experience.

To complement our wine list, there is a $30 corkage fee (per 750 ML) for two bottles and $70 for any additional bottle (per 750 ML).

Diner Reviews
  • "This is a great cool place to have lunch if you are at the beach."

  • "I selected La Cote for my out-of-town guests, for a 'rooftop dinner experience on Miami Beach. I was shocked to learn that it was a poolside restaurant & the 'rooftop' was only the 2nd floor of the outdoor restaurant. I was expecting something at the top of the Fontainebleau! That was extremely disappointing. The waiter was really nice, but didn't seem to have experience on attending to guests in the restaurant. The PAPPARDELLE PASTA was the most undesirable tasting dish I have ever had. It was overwhelming with the peas, only 2 pieces of lump crab and way too much pasta. We returned our food and had a delicious plate of grouper. But please remove that pasta dish from the menu. This is the Fontainebleau and I expect excellence."

  • "This was some of the worst service I have ever encountered. Food was good, but the hostesses were rude and unattentive, and the waitress was very slow. Getting there was an ordeal in itself as there was no direction or indication of where the restaurant was located in the hotel and after our meal, we were treated horribly when we tried to leave and were rudely told to walk down to the boardwalk to exit. It was ridiculous. If you aren't staying at this hotel, I wouldn't consider dining here.... and if you are, make sure you have plenty of time."

  • "This restaurant sits on the pool deck of the Fontainebleu and is a busy hub for the hotel patrons. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad for lunch on a Monday afternoon. We had a late lunch and the restaurant, while busy, was not packed. The salad was fine, but not amazing - my chicken was only tepid - it would be a stretch to say it was warm, and the sangria was okay, but not amazing - not worth $17. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer, but didn't get them until after our lunches were half eaten - and only after we reminded the wait staff that they had not been delivered. If you want to eat at the Fontainebleau, then this is a fine restaurant to enjoy its outside pool scene; otherswise, you could find better food and service elsewhere."

  • "Not impressed with food. Too pricey. Need better vAriety. Ordered crab pasta with minimal crab."

  • "We booked this place to check out the resort, have some lunch and drinks. La Cote was nice for the ambience, but I was disappointed in the food...for all of the creative chefs, you would think they could make a chicken panini that wasn't dry and had some real flavor. Once we finished our lunch, we went to walk back to the resort by walking through the pool area (the same way we arrived), but a security guard stopped us and said we needed a room key to walk through the pool area. Basically they made us leave the property and walk a block behind the resort to get back to the front of the hotel. They sure didn't have a problem letting us walk in to take our money and then kick us out when we were done. Extremely disappointing experience!"

  • "Staff made us feel that we were bothering them when you needed information. Even though the restaurant is an outdoor restaurant, the hotel website shows a more "chic" and attractive two-level area. There are some tables upstairs with a more relaxing ambient; however, staff did not make any attempt to accommodate us (tables were empty). Fortunately, we decided to go to another restaurant in the same hotel Michael Mina and the experience was totally different in spite of the fact we could not take advantage of the Miami Spice menu. I would definitely recommend it to friends when they come to the city."

  • "If it weren"t for the poolside viewing and hotel location, it would probably be much less popular."

  • "we had a reservation for 8:30 thru miami sprice, we arrived 15 minutes late and they said that the kitchen will close at 9:00, our friends ordered with us by phone because they cannot wait, they were very hurry to close, never put water, the beer was hot, the service very bad and the price super expensive. when we finished they called the security because we need to vacate the restaurant, the place was closed."

  • "Food GREAT!!! Service was sloppy and not attentive. I ask for bread and the answer was is extra charge (first time in my life). I think it was because we were ordering from the Miami Spice menu. Also at 8:00 pm they run out of the fish of that night and also some of the dessert we ordered"

  • "Good was great. It is pricey, but what isn't pricey at the Fontainbleau? It had a great scene, DJ on the upper deck. The wait staff was a little slow, but its ok considering the scorching hot temp! We were able to eat here in our swimwear. I'd definitely return!"

  • "We were surprised to be one of only three occupied tables on a Thursday evening in August. Our food and service were good, but the price was still pretty high for our Miami Spice dinners. Unfortunately the upstairs scenic portion of the restaurant was closed "due to the heat," but we suspect it was closed due to poor attendance. This would be a good special occasion spot, especially with fewer empty tables. Try it on the weekends in August."

  • "it was perfect as usual in fontainebleu, good food and good atmosphere"

  • "even though it was rainy the day we had lunch here. So instead of sitting at a table they suggested the bar which was fine with us. The food was very good. The vegetable flatbread was amazing. We enjoyed a couple glasses of rose champagne and our server Charles was very nice. Would love to do it again on a sunny day!"

  • "This is a great dining choice if you enjoy good food in a relaxed environment - diverse menu selection and drink options (menu can be seen online). Option of dining upstairs in lounge area with glorious view of Miami beach! (weather permitting)"

  • "We booked well in advance, but when we arrived there was only one available table in FULL sun on a 93 degree day. Upstairs was closed although the restaurant looked filled to capacity. We insisted on being moved and had to wait 30 minutes for staff to, reluctantly, set up a table in the shade with umbrellas. Then another 30 minutes waiting to order drinks. Service is pretty much non-existent. The food was excellent - but everything seemed to take soooo long. One of the perils of automatic gratuities - we would never have normally left a $77 tip for such bad service. Cocktails at $16-$18 in plastic cups - blah. Overall a fun place for casual lunch but expect to spend the entire afternoon waiting and trying to catch a waiter's eye."

  • "We ate at La Cote for lunch while staying at Fontainebleau. The food was great and the location is beautiful. You could come in casual off a day at the beach like we did or go there for a nice lunch/dinner. Service was painfully slow, but we think that's due to our particular waiter and was not reflective of the entire staff. Refreshing our drinks was always long overdue, he never checked in after our food was delivered, and there was another 10 minute wait for him to run my card while paying. We were still pleased with the food/location/atmosphere so the good outweighed the bad. I'll return and am willing to bet we'll have a better experience."

  • "Food and drinks were all excellent. We tried to Caesar salad, lobster roll, and chicken sandwich. The prices are on the high side for lunch but considering the location that should be expected. Cocktails were excellent as well"

  • "Food and service was outstanding. Only issue was our table was set up in the back by the bathroom, and there was no way to move our party to a better spot. "

  • "This is not a destination restaurant. This is a 'jump out of the pool' to grab a bite (expensive bite) to eat. Or meet someone for lunch, or have an early sunset dinner (2nd floor is best for views). We made quick reservations without really researching the restaurant, the reviews were mostly positive, we weren't staying at the Fontainebleau and wanted to see the property. So for us, it was not a good choice. They served dinner wine - expensive - in plastic wine glasses, which is really sub-par, and would not accommodate our request for glass stemware. Dinner was just okay, expensive for what it was. Gratuity automatically included, even on cost of wine, which is excessive. So, we won't return, but if you're a guest there, may be ok."

  • "Enjoyed lunch here in May 2014. If possible, make a reservation & ask to be seated on the 2nd level, from which you will enjoy beach views. This restaurant sits between the vibrant Fontainebleu pool scene, with its accompanying loud musical beach, & the boardwalk. A bit pricey, but the food was very good as was the service."

  • "Food was great. Friendly and attentive service. Not too pricy. All in all, highly recommendable."

  • "This restaurant is at the back of the Fontainebleau pool area adjacent to the Boardwalk (there is foliage so you cannot actually see people walking past on the walk). It was a nice casual meal with good service and good food. Because it's a pool area, the wine glasses are plastic. Cool lighted menus. It's an open kitchen so you can see the cooking happening. Nice break from the fine dining restaurants inside the hotel."

  • "This is party central for those not in the heart of Ocean Drive! Great for groups and partying the day away. You have to experience this place once the next time you're in Miami! Staff were quite friendly. Good customer service!"

  • "Just to be at The Iconic Fountainbleu is an experience in itself for a "true" Native Floridian, but to also sit poolside for a glass of wine and a delicious lobster roll, made it even better. We were seated at a table on the second floor inside a cabana-like table which also overlooked the ocean. Our waiter was also responsible for making our experience a great one!"

  • "Everything had wonderful presentation - great service and delicious food"

  • "I used to love this place and have had good experiences in the past however was pretty disappointed this time. The server made several mistakes with the orders, there was a hair in one of the dishes, and he brought the beer can placed in the cup he poured it in (definitely not sanitary).. If this is what they're doing in front of the customers id hate to even imagine what's happening behind the scenes. I won't return, it's unfortunate because it's a good ambiance but in Miami there's no shortage of those so not a big loss."

  • "If you want a taste of the Miami scene, this is it. Loud, techno music, tattoos and bikinis are in abundance. The outdoor dining set up is lovely however and the food was delicious and our server was helpful, polite and fun. We enjoyed it for what it is - a place that hipster hopefuls want to say they've been."

  • "Don't expect that your table will be ready, we had to wait 1/2 hour after our booked time. Did get the feeling that it wasn't the first time that happened. Otherwise good food and actually really good service. They do add gratuity automatically but that is fine with me."

  • "The restaurant closes very early (which we did not know). We were extremely rushed. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, coffee or desert. It is very expensive for such poor attention."

  • "Tha pasta dishes are superb! I had the pappardelle with short ribs, and the flavor was out of this world. My wife, whose taste is hard to please, loved the anglnotti with fava beans. She was impressed. Her only complaint was that she wished there were even more on her plate."

  • "Bloody maries below acceptable standards , wine ok but all served in cheapest plastic glasses,. Our appetizer, grilled vegetables for 4 was inadequate and we asked for additional pita we never got more, we had four small triangles. This cost 26$. We ordered sparkling water, asked for an additional bottle which arrived end of meal. One of us did not get what we ordered grouper instead of snapper but decided not to chance sending it back given the poor service.. We were charged for three bottles of perrier though we only had two and notwithstanding the new law concerning tips our bill included a service charge of 20%. We had a special guest and did not want to bring this up when the bill arrived. We paid and don't expect to return."

  • "We stayed at the FB, and each day we stepped off the beach to eat lunch at La Cote, and it never got old! The bar is lively, but the tables on the roof had incredible views of the ocean, and when its warm you catch the breeze. Food was great too."
